Ground Zero evacuation remembered by former agent

Deborah Derisal, a former NYC Police School safety agent, recalls her heroic efforts to evacuate schools near Ground Zero on September 11. Despite the intense heat, toxic fumes, and the terror of the collapsing towers, she ensured every child was safely returned to their parents. Now living in the Atlanta area, she continues to heal from the trauma while documenting her journey in a book.
