We Found the Perfect Off-Grid Campsite… Unreal Views

Kanako and I set out on an off-road adventure to a remote mountain lookout sitting at 8,000 feet, with unreal 360° views—and it turned into one of the most peaceful trips we’ve had in a long time.
We reached camp just in time for an incredible sunset, with fresh snow from the night before slowly melting off the trees and birds echoing through the mountains. For dinner, we cooked burgers on the skottle, warmed up by the fire, and ended the night with cocktails and s’mores under the stars.
The next morning was just as good—sunrise at 8,000 feet, fresh coffee, and a slow breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and eggs. No rush, no noise… just soaking it all in before heading back down the mountain.
Trips like this are a reminder of why we get outside.
