Once you make homemade spaghetti this way, I guarantee you, you'll never go back to making
it any other way. It's saucy, flavorful, and did I mention it only takes about 30 minutes.
Let's get into it. We're going to start by boiling our spaghetti. We're going to add that right in.
I'm using hidden veggie spaghetti. However, you can use any spaghetti that you like. I'm going to
add that in, give it a mix, and also I like to season the water as well with a little bit of salt
and chicken bouillon. Give that a mix, that way the spaghetti doesn't stick together.
We're going to cover it, allow it to boil until al dente. Now it's the time to make the meat sauce.
You already know the meat sauce needs all the flavor, so I'm adding a little bit of olive oil.
Now I'm going in with about a teaspoon of my Haitian green seasoning. It's optional. If you
have it, you can use it. It's very similar to sofrito, so if you have that, you can use it as
well. I'm going in with my veggies. I'm using bell peppers and onion. I like to saute them all
together just like this. And let me tell you, my kids love this homemade spaghetti. Every single
time they eat it and leave no crumbs. So if the kids are liking it, you're gonna love it. I'm
telling you. Now I'm going in with about two cloves of minced garlic. Let's add a tad bit of
oil so we can fry that all together. Saute it. Now I'm going in with about two tablespoons of
tomato paste. We're gonna fry everything together. Make sure you fry the tomato paste.
Very important, that way it doesn't taste raw, okay? Not just for a few seconds, a good
minute or two if you can. All right, now I'm going in with my Italian sausage. You can use ground
beef, but you already know Italian sausage has lots and lots of flavor. So I'm gonna use that.
You can mix it as well. You can use chicken if you like. It's up to you. You wanna break it
better. Smells so good already.
Now it is time to season. Now I'll leave everything in the comments for you guys. I'm
using Italian seasoning. I'm using paprika, onion, and garlic powder. A little bit of sazon, okay?
Some chicken bouillon, salt, ground black pepper. Everything will be in the comments for you guys,
okay? For easy access to the ingredients, they will be there. And next, we're going in with a
little bit of Worcestershire sauce, W sauce. I like to call it because sometimes I get,
I say it right sometimes. I don't know. Oh, smells so good, y'all. Smells so good.
Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Everything is prying up. The tomato paste is prying up.
The seasoning is prying up just so we can wake up the seasoning a little bit.
Now I'm going in with my pasta sauce. I'm using Prego Italian sausage and garlic.
Add that in. I add a little bit of pasta water in here, about a quarter cup. I'm going to pour
that in because nothing wastes in this house. I'm going to mix it together. Now, this is the part
that I like to do to add that flavor. I'm going in with one habanero pepper. Don't break it.
It's going to be spicy. I know it's green, but it's going to be spicy. If you like it spicy,
go ahead. I have some thyme, parsley in here. I'm going to submerge it, and then we're going to let
this simmer on medium low until everything nice and cooked and looking good and smelling good,
just for turn down that heat a little bit. I ended up adding a little bit more of that pasta
water, so in total about a cup. Now we're going to cover it, allow it to simmer for about
10 to 15 minutes. All right, guys, as you can see,
our meat sauce is nice and looking good. Let me just lower this before we get splashed by it.
It looks really good, as you can see, smelling amazing. Now I'm going to add in my spaghetti.
My spaghetti is done already, so I'm going to add that in just like so.
That looks so, so, so good. How do you guys like your spaghetti? Do you like it saucy? Do you like
it already mixed in? Do you like to pour the sauce yourself? Let me know down below,
because I like it mixed in, but my mouth is watering right now. As you can see, the
habanero pepper, it's cooked. That flavor, it does something to me. I don't need it to even be spicy,
but the flavor, just mix it together. Yes, yes, and you can add your cheese to it. I'm adding
some Parmesan cheese. You can add mozzarella if you like. That looks really good, really,
really good and saucy too. I'm going to add some cheese on top. You can add as much as you want,
honestly, and I'm adding some fresh parsley for that fresh parsley flavor,
and then you mix it together, y'all. That looks so good. The kids love spaghetti. I know they're
going to devour this, y'all. Let me plate it for you guys. Let me just plate it.
I'm telling you right now, you have to try this recipe out. It's so bomb. Let's give it a try.
