'Behind the wheel or in another role' - Alonso considers future in F1

No, I think it'll be fun. I think it's going to be a big challenge for all of us, you know, drivers, balls to teams. I think there's a lot of new variables, so it'll be interesting but I'm looking forward to it. Fred is a great leader and he's great at communicating with us. He communicates well with me and that's actually getting better and better as we learn more about each other and you know, he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. We're working all together and I told John last year in Benedetto, Fred is the guy to take us to where we need to go and that hasn't changed. I remember I spent two days on the simulator ahead of Istanbul in 2020 and we got to the track and we were 10 seconds slower than we were on the sim and everyone was spinning off, so it just sort of proves that when you go to somewhere new, you just need to go with an open mind as you have no idea how it's going to be. Well, I can tell you in my grandstand, the Team 55 grandstand, I saved 100 passes or 100 tickets for me and my family and they were gone in two days, so next year I'm probably going to need to save a few more. I need to think, you know, what is the best program for next year and sit with the team behind the wheel or in another role. I will be, you know, helping the most. That will be the most important thing to decide together.
