Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe presenter reviews two frozen party-food items from the Toby Carvery range purchased at Iceland: \"Six Little Pigs in Yorkies\" and \"12 Mini Steak and Gravy Pies.\" Both products are priced at £4.25 and can be prepared in an oven or air fryer. Despite some differences between the packaging images and the actual product, both items received a taste rating of 8/10.
How's everyone doing out there? I hope you're all absolutely spot on as, spot on, spot on as always.
Now I've been shopping to Iceland, we're going to do some Torbjörn Carvery again. Two more meals,
come and have a look what I got. And here they are, if you didn't watch me a few videos back,
I reviewed a couple of Torbjörn Carvery meals in massive Yorkshire puddings.
I think I did sausage and mash and beef and doping white potatoes. Anyway I got two more,
six little pigs in Yorkies with the roast gravy and 12 mini steak and gravy pies.
This one's 282 grams, this one's 456 grams. Different grammage, same price, they were £4.25
pence each. So let's take a closer look at the packaging. Right let's have a look at this one
first, let's go around the back. So we've got some spiel there, we've got a Torbjörn Carvery,
six little pigs in Yorkshire. Yorkshire puddings filled with cooked pork sausage,
seasoned with spices, wrapped in smoked streaky bacon and beef gravy. We've got a GB stamp there.
Now we've got some more information if you want to scan it on your phone.
And we've got massive nutritional information there, it says contain six servings.
Where's to cook? This is frozen, you can do it in the oven or you can do it in the
air fryer. There's the ingredients, the allergens are in bowls. We've got beef gravy 32%,
what else have we got in there? We've got Yorkshire pudding 32%,
sausages 25%, pork 56%. So it's 56% pork in the sausages, 25% of the sausages make up the whole
dish. We've got another thing, we've got streaky bacon 11%, pork 8-7%. Allergy advice comes in
bowls which we've covered, also may contain crustacean, fish and mollusks. Warning,
although every effort has been made to remove our bones, some may remain. Right, that's them,
let's have a look at these steak and gravy pies. To me this is like party food for Christmas,
isn't it? I know in Iceland they've got festive pies in there as well, Torbjörn Carvery festive
pies. Yeah, it's a little bit early though, isn't it? We're only in September, we're still in
summer. So let's go round the back, so we've got some spiel there, 456g like we've said,
Torbjörn Carvery 12 mini steak and gravy pies. Beef, steak, pieces and gravy and casing,
short crust, pastry base and puff pastry lid. More information here with the GinB stamp,
and we've got a load of nutritional information there. You do it in the air fryer, you do it in
the oven, it's up to you, there's the ingredients and the allergens are in bowls. Warning,
if it's been made from your bones, some may remain. Right, so that's them, let's get these
open and see what we've got. So let's have a look at the pigs in blankets there, that's what you
get there. So it's showing on the, this is just a serving suggestion as it is, but it's showing
the gravy in the pigs in blankets, sorry, pigs in Yorkies, Yorkshire puddings. You could always
add a bit more gravy if you want to, but yeah, that's them. So let's get into these,
do the old seal peel test, see if that works, that's worked okay, so that's what you get.
Yeah, there we are in there, ooh, I can't wait to try all these. I do like the old steak and
gravy pies, so let's have a look, I didn't cover what's in these, did I? I've covered what's in
Yorkies, so I'll get my glasses on, let's have a look at the ingredients. We've got water beef,
16%, that's the only percentage we can see in there, isn't it? Yeah, that's it. Right,
let's get them in the oven, there we are, and yeah, mine are going in the oven side by side,
getting them all in the oven, I don't think you can get them all in the oven anyway.
So I'm jumping the gun here, there is a bit of a procedure with these, I'll talk you through that
in a minute, so let's get into these, so we've got some plastic on there, let's get that off,
and I can show you what they are, there they are, they're frozen solid. Yeah, right, let's get them
on a baking tray now. So this is what it says in the instructions, you have to pre-heat a baking
tray, and then you put some parchment paper down, and then put them on the parchment paper on the
baking tray, and leave them in the foil, and these just go on a baking tray, so I'm going to get them
all in. I was just looking at that, shouldn't this, the title be Six Little Pigs in Blankets
in Yorkie? It looks like they're pigs in blankets. So these are done, I'm just waiting for my pies,
and I'll bring you down, we'll have a look, what do we get? Right, what I'm going to do,
I'm going to cut, I'm going to cut it in half, we'll have a look inside of it,
so we'll just go down that way,
yeah, it's got a crispy Yorkshire pudding, which is good, isn't it? Crispy bottom as well,
there's the inside of it, yeah, basically pig in Yorkie, I'd say it's a pig in blanket,
there is bacon on the outside, I'm sure, yeah, you can see it, yeah, there's the gravy,
help it go down, if you ever go to a party, like I must admit, I can't remember the last party I
went to, and you ever seen these, I would imagine you'd be holding it with one hand like that,
right, let's have a look at these pies, there they are, pies are done,
right, let's get them out, we'll have a look at them, right, let's see if we can get these out,
looks like the lid has risen,
oh, yeah, we can, we can get them out,
oh, I don't know about that one, yeah, that one you can,
that one's stuck, that one's stuck, and that lid's come off,
yeah, I'm gonna have to get a knife in there, there's the inside of the pie,
I got them all out, some of them give me a bit of stiff resistance, but we got there in the end,
persevere, so I'm going to cut one in half, we'll have a look inside,
yeah, and that's what you get, look, completely different to the box,
yeah, the meat's all mushed up, the steak, right, no soggy bottom, that's good,
these are just designed to get down in a one-er, aren't they, you know what I mean, just having a
one-er, right, shortcrust pastry, let's try them, I hope I've got it all in shot, so I'm going to
try these first, I think that's a good mouthful, isn't it, that's quite tasty, I'll finish this,
yeah, a little like sliders, these aren't, they've been referred to in the past, I have done reviews
like this sort of thing, yeah, I mean the, the sausage is like mushy, the gravy's quite nice,
quite rich, the York's pudding's crisp on the outside, it's a nice, it's a nice mouthful,
let's try the pie, so I'll get into this one, it'll cool down now, it's like half a pie,
that's quite tasty as well, yeah, it's quite rich, I'm not picking up any, any steak though,
it's not like, I mean there's, you can see big lumps of steak on there, can't you,
quite dark, I mean that's, yeah, it's, pastry's hard, it's okay, it's a nice,
it's a nice mouthful really, I'm going to go in again with this one,
you can see these being out around Christmas time, can't you, people will be buying these won't they,
and we won't, we'll make our own, but you can do, yeah, and yeah, I don't know when,
on the occasion, when you buy these really, other than like if you're having sort of a buffet or
something like that, have a family round for breakfast, you want to put a little bit of
spread on, and I've only been to one Toby Cadbury, and that was their Markham, that was about 20
years ago, we don't have a Toby Cadbury in the area, and it's not somewhere, somewhere I'd just
go and drive to, to have a Toby Cadbury, so I don't even know if these are on their menu at
the actual, you know, restaurant, pub, whatever you want to call it, pub chain, restaurant,
yeah, stand by for more gimmicks, it is tasty though, it's tasty, I'm going to give them both
an 8 out of 10 for taste, they are tasty little mouthfuls, so thanks for watching and subscribing,
please let me know what you think, and also if you've got any recommendations,
please send them to them, let me know, I'll try and get hold of them from the supermarket,
whether they've got them in or not, that is the question, because I'm always there,
it's whether they get them in, so take care, all the best, and I'll get back to you on the next one.
