Now this seems to be the electric scooter season because they are dropping in a dime a dozen
and the latest entrant in the market is this, the Bigg Boss C12 Max R.
Now this is a new electric scooter from Bigg Boss, it's been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 1,60,000.
If you get paying subsidy, that price drops down to Rs. 1,55,000.
Furthermore, for introductory bookings, Bigg Boss is offering a special price of Rs. 1,45,000.
Now all of these prices are at showroom.
Now one thing you do need to keep in mind is that there is an extended warranty available for the battery pack,
it costs an extra Rs. 6,000.
But if you're someone who makes an introductory booking for this scooter,
what Bigg Boss says is that you get that extended warranty for free.
Hi, my name is Dhruv Palliwal, you're watching Time Stripe, let's get rolling.
Now let's start with the design of this scooter, I'd say it's a traditional family-looking scooter proportions
but it does have a little bit of bling, which is to say that there are some extra elements like these twin stripes over here,
this BG logo right in the centre, finished in chrome, it does make it look a little bit more blingish
and those who like a little bit of clunky things, they will like the styling of the scooter.
If you're someone who likes a little bit more reserved styling, you might have some apprehensions about it.
But in the flesh, at least it does look premium, the paint quality feels nice over here,
although, how it will feel after you've ridden the scooter for say a year or two, that remains to be seen.
Now if we come to the back, I also love the fact how they've designed the seat,
now the seat has some texture over it, it makes it stand out and it's also been designed in a manner that
the rider will have ergonomic comfort here and there's going to be good comfort for the pillion at the back as well.
You've also got this nice huge grab rail over here and if we talk about sitting on the scooter,
so this is how you're going to be sitting on the scooter. It's an easy position, my legs are
at a decent angle, I'm not really feeling uncomfortable over here, the reach to the bars
let me quickly show you those. First of all, this is what the instrument cluster looks like,
it's a very basic one but it's pretty much got all the information you need over here showing you
there's no information overload, I would say. You've also got this button to really start the
scooter over here. You get basically physical buttons to be able to do everything on the scooter,
I think that's a good touch because riders don't want to really go into their screens
and just be finding features all the time, buttons, they really help.
and this is where you'll be particularly impressed,
and not one but two of them to lift the seat up, so the moment it basically gets released,
it just comes up on its own. That's really cool, I would have to say and that's not just a cool bit,
there is deep storage in here, you can put in a full-face helmet very very easily. You've also
got this hidden area over here which you can unlock and there's further space down there,
not just that, this is basically where your tool kit and your first aid kit stay and there is one
more thing over here that I really want to show you, which is this, pull it aside and voila,
there's an umbrella right in there. Big Boss is doing some simply clever things,
and last but not the least, I also want to talk about this light over here,
now this is an underappreciated feature in scooters, when you have a light underneath
the back seat, especially when you're dealing with things at night, it becomes easier to see
what you're doing to sort through all the stuff that you've showed in there. Now with that out
of the way, let's have a quick look at the specs of the Big Boss C12 Max Out. Now let's take a look
at the specs, you've got a side-mounted motor over here, it makes about 5.7 PS of power. Now
talking about the range of the scooter, now that is an IDC indicated range of 178 kilometers,
obviously you will not be getting that in the real world, say around 140 in the real world
should be a better benchmark. On top of that, how do you charge this, well you've got a 750W
charger that comes with the scooter, now to charge it from 0 to 100% takes about 5 hours and 15
minutes, 0 to 80 drops that time down to about 4 hours and 15 minutes. Now these are the basic
numbers that basically make or break the case for any electric scooter. Now last but not the least,
this scooter also has different modes over here and what happens here, you get different power
outputs in different one of them, basically there is a speed-up limit. In the top mode, the sport
mode, you can rotate the scooter up to a top speed of 75 kilometers per hour, so that is basically
the top speed of this scooter. Now these are the numbers, these are the basic numbers that people
want to know about every electric scooter, I've told you about them, now keeping in mind that
price tag, do you think these numbers are doing justice to that price tag, I want you to tell me
that in the comment section below or because, how did it look, do let me know in the comments below.
That was all for this video, thank you so much for watching and until the next one, goodbye.
