I Took a Walk Through Edinburgh Old Town… & Somehow Ended Up in the Most Beautiful Part of the City.

It’s a beautiful 20°C Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland ☀️🏰
I started this walk in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, wandering through its narrow streets and beautiful hidden closes before heading down towards Canongate. This is one of the things I love most about Edinburgh you can turn into a tiny close and suddenly discover a completely different view, courtyard, or piece of history.
From Niddry Street, we continue through Canongate, passing historic buildings, Canongate Kirkyard, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and the Scottish Parliament.
And then the city slowly disappears behind us. The stone streets give way to the greenery of Holyrood Park, and somehow our walk ends at one of my favourite peaceful places in Edinburgh St Margaret’s Loch. 🤍
