The Latest Immigration News includes major changes affecting Visa Interviews Paused, green card applicants, immigrant visa cases, asylum applicants, and family-based immigration. In this video, we explain the latest developments involving USCIS, the State Department, immigrant visa processing, and the 75-Country Visa Ban CANCELLED by a federal court.

A federal court has vacated the State Department policy that suspended immigrant visa issuance for nationals of 75 countries. At the same time, immigrant visa interviews have been temporarily paused worldwide, creating new uncertainty for applicants waiting for their interviews and visa decisions.

We also discuss a major court order affecting USCIS cases that were previously placed on hold for additional screening and vetting. Certain affected immigration applications may now have to move forward through the normal adjudication process.

Another important change involves Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, which is used by many family-based green card sponsors. USCIS is now accepting only the new version of the form for filings submitted on or after August 31, 2026. The updated form includes a privacy release that allows USCIS to request certain credit-related information about sponsors.

Importantly, USCIS has not announced a minimum credit score requirement for sponsors. A low credit score, credit-card balances, missed payments, or a previous bankruptcy does not automatically disqualify someone from sponsoring a family member.

Sponsors should continue to pay close attention to income, household size, tax information, assets, and required financial documentation.

In this video, we cover the Latest Immigration News: Visa Interviews Paused worldwide, the 75-Country Visa Ban CANCELLED court decision, USCIS cases restarting, new green card Form I-864 requirements, sponsor credit checks, public-charge rules and bond updates, and what these changes mean for immigrant visa, asylum, family-based, and green card applicants.
