Card Tricks Revealed - The Power Of 4 Magic

Hello again everybody. A lot of people have been sending me car tricks asking me to do tutorials for their car tricks. This one I really like. It's an impromptu mentalism car trick for beginners and it had me stumped. So the car trick is created by TheRobo414. TheRobo414 has 71 uploads. Most of his videos have less than 100 views. He does a lot of car trick tutorials. This trick that he created is called the Power of Four. What I'd like you to do is click on the link, watch his performance first, and let me know if you can figure this car trick out before you watch my tutorial. Because this one, like I said, had me stumped. So watch his performance, then come back and I'll show you how the trick is done. Okay, hopefully you didn't cheat and you watched his performance first and let me show you now how you do this car trick. It is an impromptu trick and I think it is brilliant. You shuffle the cards. You can give the cards, if you're going to show the trick to a fellow magician, give the cards a couple of false cuts and then you can take the cards and give the cards a shuffle. Nice riffle shuffle. Slowly push the cards together and this will fool them. They'll be wondering what that false cut was all about because you're clearly mixing the cards. Now what you want to do is you want to take the cards and you want to spread all the cards to show that they're in no particular order. What you're doing now is you're memorizing the card in the fourth position. The nine of spades in this case. So now you're memorizing the nine of spades. Turn the cards over and you tell the spectator they can cut the cards wherever they'd like. Let's say they cut the cards right here. You know the fourth card down from the top here is the nine of spades. Now you explain to them the power of four. Because there are four suits, the hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs, you can tell by looking at the fourth card down over here what the fourth card down over here is. Now here's where your memory has to be good. Keep saying nine of spades over and over in your head because that's the card you want to remember. So you say one, two, three and you look at this card and this card is meaningless for this part of the trick but this is the card you're going to use the next time you do the trick. So you're looking now and you see the ten of clubs. So you say this card is now telling me and you put this card back in the fourth position. This card is now telling me the fourth card down here is the nine of spades. So you go one, two, three and show the fourth card is the nine of spades. So now you take these cards. The ten of clubs is in the fourth position. Put it back on top of the deck. If you like you can give the cards another false cut. You don't have to cut them if you don't want. But you know the ten of clubs is the fourth card down. Have the spectator cut the cards and say okay we're going to count four cards. One, two, three and I'm going to look at the fourth card. You look at it. You see it's the queen of hearts. Put it back in the fourth position and all you need to say is that fourth card is telling me the fourth card here is the ten of clubs. So you go one, two, three and you show them it's the ten of clubs. Once again you could do it knowing now the queen of hearts is the fourth card down. Cut the cards. Tell the spectator we're going to count one, two, three. Look at the fourth card. Oh look at that the ten of clubs again. And we now know we can say this card is telling us that the queen of hearts is the fourth card down. Now we go one, two, three and the queen of hearts is the fourth card down. This trick had me fooled. I'm looking at it saying wait a minute. Is it the size seven stack? Are the cards marked? How did he do this every time? So it's these simple easy card tricks that I'm really impressed with because some of them are magician foolers. Some of them I can't even figure out. So let me know what you guys think.
