An Amazing Show & The People Who Make It Special

MARSHALL
An antique show turns into something much bigger when bargains, unexpected finds and a passionate collector community all come together.

We’re headed to ‘Tique Stock in Marshall, Michigan, where glass enthusiasts, antique and vintage collectors, resellers and decorators gather for a weekend of shopping, auctions and appraisals. Scarce Fenton and studio glass, precious and costume jewelry, art pottery, toys, primitives and other vintage finds compete for attention. An estate diamond ring finds a new owner, and the show is on as collectors search the tables for something special.

Bargains abound, but the best pieces do not wait. A striped MCM glass set for $30, a Fenton cake plate for $25 and a table full of $3 salt dips sell before we can reach them. We still snag a unique MCM nude enamel-on-copper dish, a fantastic pair of earrings from a Chicago socialite and a $3 wood puzzle that may drive us crazy until it sells. Then the auction begins, where silent and live bidders compete as Heidi of Rosie’s Auction House calls the sale. The auction and our appraisal fair are also shown on our Live channel.

Back at the show, the people make the weekend even more memorable. We meet a new Fenton painter, a blogger who travels much as I do, a YouTuber who helps preserve and restore damaged antiques, and many other collectors who bring their knowledge, enthusiasm and personal stories to the event. We hope this encourages you to join us Sep. 11–13 for the next ‘Tique Stock in Marshall, Michigan, on 18 1/2 Mile Road near Tekonsha.
