Hi everyone, today I'm going to show you a contactless pen AC voltage tester which I
bought from AliExpress for less than $4. This handy tool detects live AC wires,
making it a must-have tool for home maintenance and basic electrical work.
You need two AAA batteries not provided with the unit to bring this unit to life.
The device is called the T02A and I have provided the link in the description below.
It features a pen-like latch that makes it easy to carry in a pocket.
On the front, there are three buttons and three LED indicators.
To turn the unit on, press and hold the red power button for three seconds
until the power indicator LED lights up. Now, let's do a quick test with a 220V power board.
When the probe is near a live wire, the tester beeps rapidly and the red LED starts flashing.
The unit triggers a yellow light for neutral wires or low voltage detection.
Pressing the H-L button activates the high-sensitive mode, which shifts the
testing range from the default low-sensitive range of 48 to 1000V to 12 to 1000V.
The T02A isn't just a tester. It also includes a flashlight and a laser pointer.
A short press on the top button turns on the torch. A long press activates the laser pointer.
You can actually use the torch and the laser pointer both at the same time.
