Any Card. Any Number. This Trick Fools Magicians!

The magician has a deck of cards in his pocket. He tells the spectator that he's going to show them something impossible. First he asks the spectator to think of a suit. The spectator says they're thinking of spades. The magician now asks the spectator to think of a number between 1 and 13. It is important they do not say this number out loud. 1 corresponds to the ace of spades and 11, 12 and 13 represent the jack, queen, king of spades. The spectator thinks of the number 4. They never say this out loud and it means that their card is the 4 of spades. The magician then says that we need a new number. Take the number of the card you already have and multiply it by 2. So the spectator doubles 4 and arrives at 8. The magician then tells the spectator to double this again to ensure that it does not match any predictable card in the deck. So the spectator then multiplies 8 by 2 and gets 16. So the spectator is thinking of the 4 of spades and the number 16 and hasn't said any of this out loud. The magician then pulls out a deck of cards from his pocket and immediately hands it to the spectator. He tells the spectator to name his card a number. So the spectator says 4 of spades and the number 16 and then the magician says at the 16th position in this deck there will be the 4 of spades. The spectator doesn't believe him so takes the cards and starts counting down 16 cards. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and right here is the 16th card and it just so happens to be the 4 of spades. This is an amazing trick. Let me show you how it works. Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. I'm really really excited to teach you this magic trick but first I want to talk to you about the 00 Noir Playing Cards which is a deck of cards I'm releasing very soon. So two and a half years ago I sat down with the goal of designing the most beautiful and most premium deck of cards that I could possibly come up with. Me and the team went over 70 different designs and the final result is this. These cards were designed to just look beautiful, look classy and you could be really proud when pulling them out and doing magic with them and I made sure that they're also printed on the best cardstock possible so they feel like butter in your hands when you're spreading them out and handling them. Oh my gosh guys I'm so so excited to teach you this magic trick. It's an absolute killer and it's 100% self-working as well. So let me explain how it works. There's a little setup involved. What I want you to do is take out all the cards and firstly pull out all the suits. So spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds and what you want to do is make them run from ace through to king. So firstly do this with the spades. We've got all the spades running ace through to king and then put them on the table. Then do the same with the hearts. Run ace through to king. Then do it with clubs. Ace through to king and finally exactly the same with the diamonds. Run them ace through to king. Once you've done that you just need to remember for this setup three numbers. Ten, seven and four. Let me explain. All you're going to do is pick up the spades and go to the ten of spades and cut that to the top and that's the setup for this part done. Then remember the next number was seven. So go to the hearts. Go to the seven of hearts. Cut that to the top and that gets placed there. Then what I want you to do is go to the clubs and go to the four of clubs and cut that to the top and then finally the diamonds stay exactly as they are. Now what we're going to do is assemble the deck and all we've got to do is pick up a card from the spades, then from the hearts, then from the clubs and then from the diamonds and you just do this over and over again until there's no cards left on the deck. So I'm going to speed this part up to save you the time. Okay and that is it. You should now have the king of diamonds on the bottom of the deck and we can place this into the deck of cards just like so and now this trick is self-working. Let me explain how it actually works. So you've put all the cards you set up in the box and you go to the spectator and say that you want to show them a magic trick. You remove the cards from the box and you just need to remember what the bottom card is. It should be a king if you set it up in the way that I showed you and it should be the king of diamonds. Then what you can do is you can show the spectator that all the cards are different and mixed or in no particular order and then you just place the cards on the table and you ask the spectator to think of any suit that they want. Now if they say diamonds, because the king of diamonds is on the bottom then you were able to go to part two of the trick. However if they say a different suit, if they say spades or hearts or clubs, what we need to do is find the king of that suit and move it to the bottom of the deck. Let me explain what I mean. I'll say think of a suit and say it out loud and let's say they say diamonds. We go amazing and we move on to part two. If however they said um king of spades, what I would do is I'd pick up the cards and say look you could have thought of any of the different suits in this deck and as I do this I run through and I'm looking for the king of spades which is here and I simply cut the cards at this point and say you could have thought of any of the suits in this deck but you're locked in on spades. So remember that suit and then you proceed with the trick and now the king of spades is on the bottom. If they'd said hearts you'd have done the same thing but with the king of hearts and if they'd said clubs you'd have done the same thing with the king of clubs. Then what you've got to do is say remember that suit but now think of a number within that suit to be your card. So it could be the ace of spades, the five of spades, the whatever it is. So in their head they don't say this out loud, let's just say they think of the six of spades. So you say amazing don't say your number out loud but that number and the suit that you thought of is your card. So the spectator is now thinking of the six of spades but then you say we need to find an even more random number. Double the number you're thinking of, so let's just say they think of 12 because we double six and then say double it again. So there's no way that this new number corresponds with any card in the deck. So now they're thinking of 24. So now you say to them look you have your original card which you haven't told anyone and you've now got a new number and in this case it's the six of spades and 24. You then say to the spectator wouldn't it be amazing if the 24th card down is the card that you're thinking of. So tell them to pick up the cards and amazingly if we do it it's just self-working. So one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three and the 24th card will always be their six of spades. But the coolest part is if you want to reset this trick all you do is take these cards put them back on the deck and now you can go to show another spectator right away. So let's just say this time you say to another spectator you go okay now you think of a suit and they think this time of clubs. You do the same thing you say look you could have thought of any suit that you wanted and remember all the cards in this deck are completely different. So you're just justifying it until you find the king of clubs. So all the cards are completely different but you're thinking of the suit of clubs. Amazing. Now what I want you to do is think of any number and they let's say think of the number five but don't say that number out loud. So they're now thinking of the five of clubs. That is their card. So lock in that card and then take the number you just thought of and double it. So they go from five to ten and then double it again. So now they've gone from ten to twenty. So they're thinking of the five of clubs and twenty and you can then hand them the deck and say for the first time out loud say your number and say the card. So they say five of clubs and twenty and watch this one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen and the twentieth card is their five of clubs. Now you guys might be thinking this is a cool trick but we can take it to the next level with what I'm about to show you. So now what I want to do is explain a variation of this magic trick that's going to make it truly exceptional and to make this magic trick even better you don't prepare one deck of cards you do this with four different decks of cards and each time you're going to move the king to the bottom card. So let's just say for example that this one here is going to have the king of spades this one here is going to have the king of hearts this one here is going to have the king of clubs and this one here is going to have the king of diamonds in the bottom card of the pile and then what you're going to do is you're going to put this in your front left pocket this in your front right pocket this one in your back left pocket and this one in your back right pocket. Now you don't take out the deck of cards you simply walk up to the spectator and say that I'm going to show you a mentalism trick. I want you to imagine a suit and then just say it out loud. If the spectator thinks of let's say clubs you already know that you're going to be taking out this deck of cards from your back left pocket and then from there you don't have to do any slights or anything like that. So you now think of a value between 1 and 13 they can choose any value that they wish then they multiply that by 2 multiply it by 2 again and then you simply take out this deck of cards and say do you think it's possible that the card you're thinking of is in the exact number that you're also thinking of as well? They're obviously going to say no and then you literally just give them the cards you don't touch them whatsoever and the card they're thinking of will be at the number that they also thought of as well. This will leave the spectators stunned and this guys is a 10 out of 10 trick it's one of the best tricks ever created. I hope you enjoyed learning it and I'll speak to you guys very soon.
