10 Best One-Team Players In NBA History!
Sep 7, 2026
In today's video, we'll take a look at some of the best NBA players who have demonstrated their
commitment to a single team throughout their careers. While there are few current NBA stars
such as Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo who may conclude their careers with a single team,
this list solely includes retired players. This is best one-team players in NBA history.
Some players make a long-term commitment to the squad and never leave. This is impressive
and something to be proud of because playing your entire career in one spot implies that
they have undoubtedly been some terrible days mixed in with the good times. These players
have likely worked under a few coaches and seen dozens of teammates come and go during their
careers, but one thing that has remained constant is the respect they receive from the organization
and the fans who are always rooting for a one-team player. A lot of these 10 players,
to be mentioned, are still active and nearing the conclusion of their careers, and it is at
this point that their allegiance will be put to the ultimate test as they may turn elsewhere for
a championship before retiring. 10. Manu Ginobili, 13 seasons
You can see why so many players want to stay in Texas after seeing the first of a few San Antonio
Spurs. Manu has four championships and Greg Popovich has developed the Spurs, one of the
most successful clubs in professional sports, so far. He's a member of what is perhaps the
greatest trio in NBA history, and you can see he still cares about the Spurs after all these years.
Manu's loyalty is especially amazing because he's typically used as the sixth player,
but he understands his job and how coming off the bench can swing a game.
The Spurs may be suffering this season, but don't count them out in the playoffs.
9. Kevin McHale Kevin McHale was doing the same thing in
Boston as Isaiah Thomas was establishing himself as a Pistons legend. He was a key part of the
Celtics' three NBA championship teams and was a member of the iconic team that included Bird,
Parrish, Johnson, and Danny Ainge. McHale's tenacious play on both ends of the court where
he excelled was a big part of their success. McHale, like Ginobili, spent much of his career
on the bench and was also a member of an unbeatable trio along with Bird and Parrish.
The Hall of Famer averaged 17.9 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game,
but because he played in the same period as NBA luminaries Michael Jordan,
Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird, his contributions to the game were sometimes overlooked.
8. Larry Bird – 13 Seasons Magic's rival Johnson is Boston Celtics
and NBA legend Larry Bird, and the two have fought in some of the NBA's most memorable clashes.
Bird, like Johnson, has to be considered one of the best of all-time players because he spent his
entire career with one team and was a member of one of the most recognized and successful teams
in history. Bird won three NBA championships, two finals MVP awards, and three regular-season
MVP honors during his career. Larry legend is known for his unwavering confidence and ability
to back it up, averaging 24.3 points per game, 10 rebounds per game, and 6.3 assists per game
over his 13-year career in Boston. 7. Satch Sanders – 13 Seasons
Only two players in NBA history have more rings than Satch Sanders.
His Boston teammates Sam Jones and Bill Russell, along with fellow Celtic giants John Havlicek,
Casey Jones, and Tom Heinsohn, Sanders owns two fistfuls of rings with an amazing 8.
This only goes to show how powerful Boston was in the late 50s and early 60s,
and Sanders played an important role from his debut in 1960 to his retirement in 1973.
Although the 6'6 forward isn't as well known as some other Celtic greats,
his contributions on both ends of the floor were crucial, and no one can doubt his devotion to the
team. 6. Bill Russell – 13 Seasons
Bill Russell, who has more rings than fingers and thumbs, is the one who is laughing with more rings
than fingers and thumbs. Bill Russell was without a doubt one of the most dominant players in NBA
history, having won an NBA record 11 rings in 13 seasons. From the late 1950s through the late 60s,
he was the focal center of the famed Celtics dynasty, becoming a force thanks to his exceptional
rebounding and shot-blocking capabilities. He wasn't known for his scoring, but he still put
up 15 points per game and 22.5 rebounds per game throughout the course of his career.
With such a fantastic career, it's easy to see why the city of Boston worships him.
5. Jerry West – 14 Seasons
Jerry West may symbolize the NBA as a whole with his silhouette as a logo,
but he is a Laker through and through. West, the Lakers' second-round choice in 1960,
spent 14 seasons with the team and went on to become an L. His clutch shots, superb defensive
play, and ability to do it all made him a legend. In 1972, he won an NBA championship and was named
Finals MVP, although this was for the 1969 Finals, making him the only player from the losing team
to win the honor. Following his illustrious Lakers career, he became the team's head coach
before moving up to general manager before the 82-83 season. The Lakers won six more championships
during his tenure, and West was named Executive of the Year 1995.
4. Hal Greer – 15 Seasons
When people think of the 1960s Philadelphia 76ers, they usually think of Wilt Chamberlain,
but Hal Greer was also a key member of the team, and he was there when the team was known as the
Syracuse Nationals. In the 1966-67 NBA Eastern Conference Finals, Greer and Chamberlain famously
defeated the Boston Celtics, snapping Boston's eight-year winning streak. Greer would go on to
average 27.7 points per game in the postseason, helping the 76ers overcome the Warriors in the
championship. In 1982, the franchise legend was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
3. Dirk Nowitzki – 17 Seasons
Dirk has spent 17 seasons in Dallas, and he appears to be set to stay for a few more years
if he continues to impress. Dirk will be desperate to add another ring to his collection before
hanging up his boots, so the Mavs have showed their determination by surrounding him with talent
this season. Dirk has won championship to his credit, 2011, but his 17-year career has not been
without its challenges. This makes his commitment even more astounding, as he might easily have left
by now, but he is beloved by the supporters, and it's difficult to envision him with another team.
Unsurprisingly, the German 7-footer holds the team record for most key categories,
and he's also leapfrogged many players this season to move into 7th place on the NBA's
all-time scoring list. 2. Tim Duncan – 18 Seasons
Tim Duncan has been the face of the Spurs for 18 years, which is remarkable given the amount
of Spurs players on this list. He filled the void left by David Robinson's retirement and the
emergence of Ginobili and Parker, and it was during this time that he demonstrated his superiority.
Duncan has been one of the most steady players in the game over the last 18 seasons,
with his numbers rarely fluctuating. Among his many personal achievements, the talented power
forward has five NBA titles, three NBA Finals MVP trophies, and two regular season MVP awards.
He is, however, all about winning, as seen by his willingness to take a 50 percent pay
reduction in 2012 to keep the club together. It's been a terrific and inspiring career to
witness, and it's far from done, as you always get the idea that the Spurs can win if they stay fit.
Duncan epitomizes the Spurs' unselfish, hard-working style and will go down as
one of the all-time great big men. 1. John Stockton – 19 Seasons
John Stockton of the Utah Jazz is not only one of the best point guards in NBA history,
but he is also one of the most loyal players of all time. Stockton, unlike the most of the
others on this list, has never won an NBA championship, which makes his dedication
even more astounding. In 1997 and 1998, he and the Jazz reached the NBA Finals,
but Jordan and the Bulls defeated them both times. Stockton and power forward Carl Malone
established perhaps the greatest NBA combo of all time, causing all kinds of issues for defenses
as they expertly executed the pick and roll. Stockton is a fan and coach favorite since he
is the all-time leader in assists by a significant margin. Stockton never won an NBA championship,
but he mesmerized fans, inspired other players to follow in his footsteps,
and provided the Jazz, as well as the NBA, with 19 remarkable seasons.
With that, we'd like to conclude our video. Let us know in the comments down below,
