So nobody was ready for what came out of the sand south of Saqqara, when archaeologists opened a tomb built to the exact underground plan of a pharaoh's pyramid, inside a royal cemetery, sealed for four thousand four hundred years. The walls were still red. Still yellow, still green, still black. Everything about that room is wrong, and the strangest part is not the color. It is the person lying underneath it. He was never supposed to have any of it.
