The Forgotten Valley | The Peach Blossom Spring Ambient Music

Beyond a narrow passage and a forest of peach blossoms lies a hidden world untouched by the troubles of ordinary life.
Inspired by The Peach Blossom Spring by the Eastern Jin writer Tao Yuanming, this long-form traditional Chinese ambient suite follows the journey from the familiar world into an isolated realm of peaceful villages, clear streams, flowering peach trees, quiet fields, and a life far removed from worldly concerns.
The music gradually moves from the wandering fisherman and the discovery of the hidden passage toward the serene beauty of the Peach Blossom Spring, creating a dreamlike journey between reality and an ideal world that may exist only beyond the reach of ordinary life.
Featuring guqin, guzheng, xiao, dizi, pipa, ruan, sheng, konghou, and xun, the music blends traditional Chinese instrumental colors with spacious, unhurried compositions and subtle natural atmosphere.
Inspired visually by Peach Blossom Spring by Qiu Ying, the album unfolds like an ancient handscroll, revealing the landscape little by little—from the narrow river passage and peach blossom forest to distant mountains, peaceful villages, and the mysterious world beyond.
