Today we're making a super easy dinner beef bulgogi using ground beef. The kids are back
in school so that means we need dinner ideas that are quick and easy and can possibly be
packed up the next day for lunch. Today we're making beef bulgogi but we're using ground beef
since it's easy and versatile. This is a piece of bread and I use it to keep my brown sugar soft.
I just use the butt piece since nobody really likes to eat it. I haven't had any issues with
mold or anything like that and I replace the bread out every week whenever I get a new loaf.
You also need some mirin, soy sauce, and some plum syrup. My oil is nice and hot. I'm going to add
my onions. I'm going to cook this for one to two minutes. After one minute we're going to add in
some garlic. Then we're going to add in our ground beef. Once our beef is about 30% cooked we're
going to add in our sauce. We're going to give this a little mix before we leave it to cook
untouched for a couple minutes. I left this to cook untouched for a couple minutes now I'm going
to stir it. We're going to repeat this process until all of our liquid or most of our liquid
is evaporated. I like to keep mine a little saucy for the kids. This is good enough for me. I'm going
to turn off my heat right about now. I would top this off with some chopped green onions but I'm
not trying to pick it out of my kid's bowl. I'm going to serve my bulgogi over some rice, cucumbers,
chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and that's it. Bon appetit.
The kids are going to love this.
