The Double Life of Scott Peterson: The Alternate Theories — Ep. 3 | MK Confidential

“MK Confidential” follows a lead that the jury never fully hears. In the late morning of December 24, 2002, a neighbor spots three men and a van across the street from the Petersons, that don't look like they belong there. Laci Peterson is last seen twenty minutes later.

Megyn tracks down the witnesses one by one: a mailman who says the Petersons' gate was open and their dog, which barks at him every single day, stays silent. Six people who say they saw a pregnant woman walking a golden retriever that same morning, after Scott had already left for the marina. Plus, a hypnotized witness, a burglary across the street, a van found burned nearby, and interview tapes marked for destruction before the trial even begins.

None of it proves that Laci was around that morning. But it raises the question about what the jury was ever allowed to consider.
