Hopefully we don't see that option anymore because it's hard to stop for sure. But
I mean our kids took a big step forward today. They competed. Obviously we'd like a different
result. I think obviously that two-score turnaround was tough. You know, they score,
we give them ball, the ball right back, they score again. And like that's how football is,
right? That's usually what we do to other people. So they're well coached. Their kids are tough.
You know, we just got to keep improving. Three or four big-time first downs on there where we
had him third down and we just couldn't get a stop. And number 20 is a heck of a back. I'm
sure he's going to go play college football somewhere. Like there was multiple times where
we had him wrapped up and he still got, he still found a way to get a first down three or four more
yards. Yeah. I got tons of respect for Coach Ewing at Monterey Trail. He's been doing it there I think
maybe a year or two longer than I've been here. And I've listened to him talk clinics and I just
think that he does things the right way. And I know that his kids are a reflection of what he
does. So, you know, we, every year, if you look at the seed seedings, they're like a five or six
seed and we're a seven or eight seed. So if we want that type of credibility, we have to beat
this team, you know? So coach has got to do a better job getting them ready. I got to do a
better job of getting them ready. But I mean, the margin was pretty slim. I feel like tonight he
could have gone either way there for a while. We got into some rhythms where we're moving the ball
pretty well and we realized, hey, we can still throw the ball against anybody. And, you know,
what they gave us was exactly what we expected. We have some injuries. We have like one of our
defensive ends is out. Our center was out. So we showed some maturity in terms of like next guy
step up and next guy play well. Owen was battling cramps all night. Elias, I think, was a little
banged up from the first quarter. So, I mean, we showed a little bit of grit. I just like to see
it be more consistent.
