AI GeneratedMax discusses a frustrating qualifying session where a recurring rear axle issue hindered his performance. Despite a positive Free Practice 3 and being only a tenth of a second off P3, the technical glitch caused instability in curves and over bumps. He remains hopeful for a strong race result if the car is fully repaired.
Hey Max, well considering it seems like the car hasn't been that fun to drive so far this weekend,
you're only a tenth off P3, like what's the kind of overriding emotion after that tough qualy?
Well I think FP3 actually was quite decent for us, we made a really good step overnight,
but unfortunately going into qualifying immediately in my first lap I picked up again a
problem on the rear axle, which we have already a lot during the season, but it happens at different
phases of the weekend and now unfortunately it happened in qualifying, so you just jump around
a lot more, the car's not good on the curves anymore, the bumps, and it's just costing
performance on a track where it's of course super close. Feels like a bit of a lottery then,
you're not quite sure when you're going to pick up that problem. Oh yeah, it's a story of my year.
Any hope that you can rescue something at podium tomorrow, is that too much chance?
Well if we can fix it then yes, then I think the car will be in a better window
Is that enough for a podium? I don't know, but I mean I would like to race with a car that is 100%, that would be nice.
