Nick Shirley Sues California Over 'Stop Nick Shirley Act'

I'm officially suing the state of California. On August 22nd, Gavin Newsom signed into law what is known as the Stop Nick Shirley Act. The official title of this bill is AB 2624. Now this law will prohibit what an individual or a journalist will be able to film and publish when it comes to immigration support service providers. Now in a world where we all want more transparency and not less, it is more critical than ever that we do not just sit back and do nothing. That is why I am filing this lawsuit against the state of California. Because why would they create a law that pushes for less transparency when all we want is more transparency especially when it comes to our tax dollars being defrauded? And why specifically make immigration support service providers a protected class inside of California? Well the truth is they use these immigration support service providers to commit fraud and push their agendas inside of California. That is why they had to create this new law. And I'm going to read from this bill. It specifically says a program participant or an individual entity or organization authorized to act on their behalf may make a written demand to a person, business, or association to not publicly post or publicly display, disclose, or distribute on the internet the personal information or image of the program participant. They are literally saying you cannot film immigration support services and if you do and we give you a written demand you cannot publicly post that video on the internet. And if you do publish the video you may receive a four thousand dollar fine. Now it's extremely important for you guys to understand why this bill was created, who created it, and the timeline as to when it was created and how it will affect citizen journalists like myself and everyday citizens who are concerned about what is happening inside their community as oftentimes these politicians use these immigration support service providers to commit the fraud. As you all most likely know on December 26 I published a video exposing widespread fraud inside of the Somali community inside of Minnesota where they had daycares, layering centers where there's actually no kids enrolled into any of these daycares where they are receiving millions upon millions of dollars and there's absolutely no one there. That then exposed fraud all across all 50 states, specifically in the states that receive the most amount of money for these social benefit programs like daycares, hospices, or just Medicaid in general. Now inside this bill it specifically says immigration support service providers included but not limited to and lists off a whole list of these things including legal services and even says health care. And it also says these immigration support service providers can also be non-profits as well. These politicians funnel millions upon millions of dollars to these non-profits and in fact the co-sponsor of this bill is CHRLA which is an immigration support service provider who has received over 80 million dollars of your tax dollars for their organization who provide legal services for illegal migrants here inside of the United States. All right so what actually is this new law AB 2624 known as the Stop Nick Sherlock? Well it was created because these people inside these immigration support service providers have allegedly faced doxing, courthouse targeting, online harassment, anti-immigrant vigilante threats, and coordinated campaigns and death threats. And it says right here inside this bill that it says it happened in 2025 and it will continue because of the current administration's anti-immigration attitude and policy. So they're now saying that these individuals who work inside these immigration support service providers need to be protected and that their personal image or personal information cannot be shared online or out in public. And when it says personal information it literally says included but not limited to their name, signature, social security number, physical characteristics, or description. So literally if you go out and you film an immigration support service provider for instance let's say I go film a hospice and let's take this guy for example so in Van Nuys California one-third of Americans on hospice were going there to die. I go and film this hospice and this man right here says hey Nick you cannot publish this video I'm actually part of this program and gives me a written demand I therefore cannot publish the video. Now that fraud was very much real but if that guy gives me a written demand I cannot publish that video and if I do I then get a four thousand dollar fine potentially a civil fine which is absolutely absurd. So that's one of these examples of this bill but this bill was made to protect people who work for immigration support service providers and it is so vague that it says literally included but not limited to gives a whole entire list at the very bottom it says health care. So that would include hospices and even leering centers as well. So that is the premise of this bill. Now who was this bill created by? This is where it gets super interesting. This bill was created by a southerly woman Mia Bonta. Mia Bonta is the wife to the attorney general Rob Bonta so meanwhile you have the attorney general who's supposed to prosecute the fraud meanwhile his wife is creating new laws to protect these alleged fraudsters. Absolutely crazy. I mean you literally couldn't even write this script up if you had dreamt of it in a favorite game that's how crazy it is. So we got to think about when this bill was created and the sequence of events that took place in order for this bill to be created. So everyone knows about December 26 when I exposed the smaller fraud inside of Minnesota. That then puts all 50 states on alert and everyone says well Nick the fraud's big in Minnesota but it's probably even bigger in California. So I start looking into the fraud inside of California start running all the numbers and I find out that California for instance has had a 100 billion dollar increase in their Medicaid program called Medi-Cal while their enrollment has only gone up by one percent. So I say well this fraud has to be really big. So I go to California and I announced that I was in California on January 31st and I post on x saying I've arrived and prior to that word had already gotten out that I was looking into the fraud as the Somalis at some of these fraudulent daycares inside of San Diego started posting the videos of me outside asking hey where are you guys kids at if you guys are running these daycares and they were running these daycares out of homes inside of San Diego which is a bit strange and obviously there's no kids inside of the daycare. And so then on February 2nd Gavin Newsom stated that the San Diego Somali community fell under siege following the rival right-wing provocateurs who seek to replicate the fraud allegation that sparked unrest in Minnesota. Well I didn't plan for those daycares to be Somalian they just so happened to be Somalian. And then on February 5th Rob Bonta held a news conference saying that the fraud allegations in California are reckless false outrageous and ridiculous. I then published a video exposing potential voter fraud that was taking place inside California and decided to wait on exposing the daycares and the hospices because the threats on my life had gotten pretty high at that moment. Well in the meantime me and Bonta on February 20th then goes in and creates AB 2624 the Stop Nick Shirley Act. And then in March I go ahead and drop the fraud bomb. I go and expose all the daycares and the hospices. This is the sound of hospice money. And I make it so obvious for everyone to see as these fraudsters are fleeing out these hospices with inmates, cyber trucks and g-wagons and even maybacks as they're leaving these hospices. Well remember prior to that Rob Bonta said that it was reckless and that it was false and therefore they needed this Stop Nick Shirley Act AB 2624 to protect the fraud and stop people from exposing these locations inside of immigration support service providers. Only after that just a few days later Rob Bonta then goes ahead and prosecutes over 250 million dollars worth of hospice fraud. Gavin Newsom said the fraud didn't exist and then just a few days later he's trying to take credit for exposing the hospice fraud. Just so it turns out that since that video was posted over 500 of those hospices have been shut down and not a single one of them have opened back up because they were all fraudulent. That is why I'm filing this lawsuit to be able to go after and continue to expose these fraudsters. We need more transparency and not less. Now let's talk about the lawsuit. I'm filing this lawsuit inside the federal court of California to stop the enforcement of this law. The claim is straightforward. This statue violates the first amendment. I'm asking the court to protect my first amendment right. And now you all may be wondering Nick is there any monetary gain for you to file this lawsuit? Well actually there's none. We're not suing for a single dollar. We're suing simply on the fact that they're taking away your first amendment right with this new law. In fact I might spend months, I might spend years filing this lawsuit. For so long, think about it, for so long these corrupt politicians have been able to push and shove us around and receive no consequences for their actions. In fact when I did go and confront them about this bill all of these politicians ran away. But unfortunately it is not what the actual bill does. Thank you so much. It actually is. I don't think that bill has passed before my case. He's a co-author of it. Immigration based services are trying to make it harder for money to be disclosed. Thanks. Look they just run off. Look at that. Can you give us your opinion really quick on AB 2624? I think you're a psycho scam artist so please disclose how you think that. Look at how they just run away. These guys are fools. And now imagine if I were to sit down and say it's all right. We're gonna let them continue with this law even though it's gonna violate my first amendment right and my videos are gonna be harder to make and who knows what's gonna be able to get exposed when they start to put this law into effect on October 1st 2027. That's when this law becomes operative. But who knows what's gonna happen between now and then what they can and cannot do. And it's time for we the people to actually do something. This fraud never has had anything to do with the right or left. It had everything to do about your dollars being defrauded and now they want to prevent people like me from going out and searching for the truth about where our tax dollars are going. Quite literally they are then going to be able to give me a written demand. A piece of paper saying hey you cannot publish that video and if I do I will get a four thousand dollar fine. And if you do too you will also potentially get a four thousand dollar fine. That is the problem with this bill and why it violates the first amendment. It's time we all stand up get together right and left and say you cannot violate our first amendment right.
