Mexican restaurant owner charged with money laundering

Juan Romo Padilla, the 58-year-old owner of La Posada in Southwest Detroit, has been accused by federal authorities of funneling over $140 million in drug proceeds to major Mexican cartels through his restaurant. He faces up to 20 years in prison for each of the four counts charged.
