Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video features a comprehensive walk-around and test drive of a rare 1966 Chrysler Super Stock Dodge Dart. One of only 50 produced, this lightweight, factory-built race car was designed for NHRA D-stock competition, boasting high performance and a minimalist interior to maximize its power-to-weight ratio.
That's right, Slick's Kame factory, one of 50 produced.
This is the only super stop vehicle produced by Chrysler in 1966.
273 cubic inches, four speed transmission, and 1433 in the quarter mile.
Today, we're going to give you guys a comprehensive walk around and a very spicy test drive to
let you decide if you want to put this bald eagle in your garage.
Let's talk about the overall condition of this super stock.
I would rate this one easily an eight and a half out of 10.
Extremely nice paint and body condition, just minor imperfections and minor wear on the
trim work.
Looking at the driver's side, it shows very well.
You have your Crager wheels and you have your Cheater Slicks out back, and we're truly
going to test those out later on.
Remember, they only made 50 of these, and to designate it, you're going to look at the
VIN number and it's going to say L023, and that's what signifies it being a super stock.
And underneath here, you're going to have Doug's exhaust.
This was custom built for the 50 units produced, and it looks fantastic and wait until you
hear it.
You could rev these motors out to 7,500 without damage, and we're going to show you that later
on today.
These darts were built to specifically compete in the D-stock class for NHRA.
So essentially, they come straight from the factory.
You get to go to your racetrack and you can compete against the other cars in the same
series.
273 cubic inches with a 4160 Holley carburetor that's specifically set for this engine.
All of your trim on the passenger side shows the same as the driver's side.
Opening up the door, you're going to see how nice that interior is.
The red carpet's very nice.
It's pretty plain Jane because race car.
Looking at the rear quarters, listen to that door close.
Wow.
Looking at the rear quarter, very nice condition.
Underneath here, nice and solid.
And then, by the way, for all you super stock guys, I want to know why there's a hole right
here.
Is that because they took certain pieces of trim off to make it more lightweight?
Let's test out the headlights.
Headlights and taillights operate.
We'll test out the windshield wipers when we go for a ride.
Horn works.
Ooh, that sounds good.
Front fascia is very nice.
It is original, so you're going to have minor imperfections.
Chrome condition is driver to show quality.
Looking at the trim up here, it is original.
You have the red, white, and blue for the front crest, and then you have a lot of small
details that Mopar was trying to do to be different from all of the other manufacturers.
Underneath here, nice and clean.
I want you guys to look at the underside shots.
You can see the frame.
It's not painted, and I love that.
Let's open up the hood.
Opening up the hood, you are greeted by an all original setup, so I want you to look
at the manifolds.
These are Doug manifolds.
You do have a four-barrel Holley carburetor on here, and everything is proper.
Runs and drives down the road.
The only thing we did do is we disconnected the heater core because I noticed that there
was a little bit of seepage coming in, so that's taken care of.
We do have the original lines in the trunk, and we're just telling you these things so
you know what's going on, but who the hell is going to drive this when it's winter?
No one, so don't worry about it, right?
No?
Yeah.
Okay.
All the metal looks good, and remember, this only weighs 2,900 pounds, super lightweight.
This was a competitor against the K-Code Mustang, so K-Code had 271 horsepower.
This has 275 horsepower.
This would run the quarter mile with that transmission and gear setup at 14.33.
The K-Code would be 14 to 15 seconds, so this was a little monster, and it has less displacement.
If you own a K-Code, you're very familiar with the rear end of this Dodge Dart because
it was blowing past you from stoplight to stoplight.
Underneath here, you're going to have an eight and three quarter, which I've talked about
earlier.
It is a 4.86 to one heavy-duty ring gear.
Tires are in good shape.
They are older, but we're going to test the heck out of them later on.
Underneath condition, fuel tank, very nice.
Your fuel tank straps are in good shape as well.
Then you do have a spare tire, like a hole there, but there's nothing there because it's
a super stock.
Opening up the trunk, very nice condition.
I'll do a shake test here, no rust or rattling.
All of the metal throughout shows well, and then I want you guys to look at the inside
of this trunk.
It is bare bones because that's exactly how it's supposed to be.
We do have a lot of additional components that are included with the sale.
They're going to be in the photo gallery, and then once again, there is no spare tire
because we're thinking about power to weight here.
Let's close it and jump inside.
Look at that.
Another Mustang left in the dust.
Interior for this one is extremely nice.
Headliner shows well.
It's not pulling on any of the sides.
Your dash condition shows well, showing 28,000 miles in the odometer.
You do have an aftermarket tack, oil pressure gauge right here, and by the way, when you
hear this thing start up, it sounds fantastic.
All your metal trim looks good.
The seats are upholstered nicely.
They feel good.
All the metal around it looks good, and you have a four-speed transmission.
Rear seats are in great shape.
You're not going to have anybody back there, but if you want to put a baby seat and have
some fun, it'll happen, but there's no seat belts, so bring a ratchet strap.
What else do you want me to say?
Oh, I'm going to turn the car on for you now.
Pull the choke out.
This is going to be fun.
So when you push the choke in, it'll drop down.
Yes.
Before we go for a test drive, I want to thank you guys for watching this video.

We can consign it.
We can also ship it.
Let's do it.
All right, we're taking the K-Code Killer out for the second time.
First time we had Joe Thatcher in here, and I didn't realize that the choke setting was
halfway choked, so we were getting a little bit of bogging.
This time, we've got it completely open.
Choke is set properly, and we're going to have a blast.
So speedometer does not operate.
Fuel gauge does.
Temperature does.
Charging system's working.
Our horn operates, and the wipers, I think, let's see here.
Wipers work.
I wouldn't drive this car in the rain.
It's too nice.
Shifts nicely.
Third gear.
It has a throaty sound for being a small block.
Fourth gear.
Probably going around 45 at around any 200 RPM based on the van.
That's usually what we cruise at.
Downshifting is easy.
Going to second.
And my favorite part is you can rev it out.
Ooh.
We've got a lot of fuel there.
Still warming up.
Let's see this third gear.
We're at 3,400 RPM.
But then it just picks up.
We'll test out the acceleration.
Brakes are even.
Listen to it.
Here we go.
That is not easy.
Not bad at all.
It likes the top end.
I'm shifting at like 5,800.
I know this goes to, I think it's almost 6,900, 7,000.
We enjoy doing these videos.
We hope you enjoy this content because I want to keep driving these muscle cars and specialty
cars and niche market cars for you.
We're going to roll this one in second.
We'll keep it in second gear.
Nice and smooth.
Headlights on.
We're going to go over two, actually one bump.
They fixed one bump.
So we're going to go over one bump.
You'll see how the suspension reacts.
There it is.
Nice bump.
Go into third.
We'll see you on the next video.
Have a great day.
Good luck buying this car.
