How to Create Architecture Diagrams with GitHub's Top Trending Agent Skill (Archify) !

You may be using different methods to create architecture diagram for your code base. But in this video I'm going to show you a newly launched skill which is going to change how you create your architecture diagram. And once you install this particular skill it's going to create your architecture diagram something like this. As you can see the architecture diagram is going to be very interactive. You can navigate from one step to another step. And this skill name is Archify and this particular GitHub repo is already trending. It has already got a tag of repository of the day and it is going to help you to create architecture diagram using plain English. And this is going to work across different agentic framework like cursor cloud code codecs and others. And the main advantage of this particular skill is it is going to convert your code base or system description into a polished and interactive system map. And this comes with all these features. So if you want to just get started with this then you can just copy this command. And you can open your command prompt. And here you just have to paste this and hit enter. Now as soon as you hit enter it is going to install this skill on your local system. So these particular agents are already going to be supported by this because this is going to get installed into dot agents skills. And if you want to install it for anything specific then you can also navigate over there using your arrow button. And here I'm selecting cloud code and I'm just going to say proceed with installation. Yes. And it is going to install over here. So as you can see it is going to get installed into dot agents skills. Archify. It means whatever agentic idea we have which supports this kind of folder pattern for the skill installation can invoke this particular skill. So in this case even if I go to my GitHub copilot and I open my chat and I go and search for Archify then I should be able to get it because GitHub copilot is something which supports this kind of folder pattern for the skill installation. But if you want to do it for cloud then this particular skill should be in dot cloud skills. So one half what you can do is if you're not able to get the required skills installed into your dot cloud automatically then you can go to this dot agents folder. You can go to this skills. Under this skills you will see this Archify skill. I'm just going to copy this and then I'm just going to go to my folder and I'm just going to go under dot cloud under dot cloud. Also I'm going to have this skills folder and under this skill folder I can just paste this and now I have this Archify in dot cloud skills as well. Now in this case if I open my cloud code and if I search for Archify then I should be able to get here as well. Now. So we do have this skill installed which can be invoked through your products GitHub copilot or cloud. I'm using cloud over here. You can use any of the agentic ID to invoke this particular skill. And now there are multiple ways in which you can utilize this particular skill. So if you already have a code base in your folder then also you can invoke this skills and ask is to create an architecture diagram or if you don't have any code base as such you just want to create an architecture diagram and that also you can just go ahead and invoke it using prompt. So in this case I don't have any kind of code base as such. So I'm just going to go ahead and ask create an architecture diagram on how LLM works internally and I will just submit it. So it took around four minutes just to create all this diagram. But as you can see it has just created this kind of HTML which I can download it and I can open it. So I'm just going to go ahead and open this file here or I can just go to Explorer and open the HTML file which has been generated and this is going to be the end to end flow. So as you can see like it has created this interactive diagram for me and there are multiple things in this particular diagram. So first thing you can see like at the top you are getting all this bar and then at the bottom you see some details about this particular diagram and at the top you can see there are themes so I can toggle theme to dark and from here I can also select single flow classic blueprint design or I can go for the editorial. So there are multiple options coming over here as well. So I can go to the classic for now and if I want to present it then it can just focus on this particular diagram and I can exit it from here. At the last you can see there are multiple option to export this particular diagram into different format as well. So for now let's go to light theme and at the bottom you see here we do have multiple options. So if I want to zoom it out I can also zoom it out from here and then you can see there is an option of path and I can select a start node. So I can just click on this user node and then it will just start telling me OK like you have to choose a destination from user prompt so I can just select the next token and then you can see like this part has been highlighted. So there is an option of map as well. This is a full map. I can just click on something specific then you can see the map is also going to get focused over there and you can also click on lens and it is going to help you to compare different system rules. So here you can see there are different legend backend database and external. So I can just select backend and all the backend section is going to get highlighted. And if I just select external all the external system is going to get highlighted. If you want to just navigate it manually then also you can just click on the user prompt and you can talk about it. All other things are going to get carried out when you are highlighting a specific box it will just highlight all the arrows which is coming into this box and which are coming out of this box. So if you are going to create any architecture diagram like this then it is definitely going to help you in any kind of demo or the things which you would like to present. So if you want to explore more about this specific skill then you can see there are different options. One is like you can go and look into the galleries like how these diagrams are being created. There are different diagram for different kind of scenarios. If you want to play something out then you can also just click on this and it is just going to play this specific chapter whole chapter for you. Another option is just click on this choose the right diagram here. Actually you can just describe your situation and it is going to recommend something. So how does it work. So what you can do is let's say if I click on this system overview. So as soon as I click on system overview recipe it is going to give me this kind of prompt which I can copy it and just pass it to any of my agents where I'm using RQ5 skill and it is going to help me to create that kind of diagram. So you can also get that idea from here because it supports five kind of diagram as you have seen on the GitHub repo. So architecture, workflow, sequence, dataflow and lifecycle.
