AI GeneratedMadeline Klein takes a day off from her \"Outer Banks\" press tour to share a glimpse into her personal life. She discusses her fitness journey, her deep connection to Charleston, her long-term friendship with Lucas Gage, and her evolving relationship with living in Los Angeles, concluding the day with a visit to Hamburger Mary's.
Did anybody have any weird dreams last night?
I did.
What did you dream about?
I can't remember, but it was weird.
So, you know, the Outer Banks trailer just came out yesterday,
and I keep seeing comments, people being like,
the baby bump, the baby bump, and it's just me not sucking in.
I think I went to bed thinking about being pregnant.
Well, so in my dream I was pregnant, and I was also skiing.
I've got a day off from press for Outer Banks,
so this is me, Madeline Klein, off the clock with Vanity Fair.
Good morning, everyone.
Rise and shine.
It's gonna be a great day.
You ready?
Yeah.
How are you feeling?
How's it going?
I'm good.
I just, I have been having a hard time getting back into a routine of working out.
Yeah?
Yeah.
What's the issue?
Like, what seems to be lazy?
I've been sleeping a lot.
This is kind of like a kind of overview of what we're going to do today,
if you want to take a look at that.
Side clam.
Feels like there could be a better name for that.
Stepping away from Outer Banks is, I'm happy, I'm proud, I'm satisfied,
but I'm gonna miss it, and it is a little scary.
The time has flown by.
It's hard to comprehend that it was seven years.
Seven years has just gone by so quickly.
I grew up in Charleston, and Outer Banks brought me back to Charleston.
I'm grateful that I got to spend so much more time with my family,
and we had such a good time.
So, very lucky to have shot in Charleston.
And this is my, this is my soulmate.
He's here.
Train like Madeline Klein.
You okay?
No.
Killing me right now.
I love you.
I love you, bye.
It's my best friend, Lucas Gage.
Lucas and I met 10 years ago on an indie film.
We would always, like, check in with each other,
but we didn't become friends for, you know, another, like, seven years after that.
And then we were like, wait a minute, why are we wasting so much time?
The goal is ass.
And also, I haven't, I feel like I lost some weight, but
I feel like I lost a lot of strength, so I just want to feel strong again.
Good job.
Boom, athlete.
We were actually just talking about this.
I used to kickbox, rode horseback, ballet.
Um, I was also, like, kind of a gym rat.
So I was always in the gym weightlifting.
I was very active.
I started dancing when I was 10.
I wasn't, like, a fantastic dancer, but it was still fun.
And I chose to focus on ballet.
It's too much pressure, too much pressure.
And then I did one very, very small, like, local horse show.
And I did get a first place ribbon.
But I decided it's still too much pressure, and I preferred to do things.
I'm not, I would not say I'm a very competitive person.
It was too much pressure, so you decided to become a Hollywood actress?
Okay, now you're clocking my sh**.
Oh, this is the yummiest soda ever.
I don't know why, but I, like, love these.
Always have your protein after a workout.
Hi, can I please get a turmeric crush smoothie?
And also this.
I'm not trying to.
No.
Hi, how are you?
Um, can I please get, um, some celery and apple salad?
Small, please.
And then can I also please get the, um, the chef's special peach salad?
It's perfect.
That's perfect, thank you.
How are you?
I paid for this, uh, for back there.
Oh, and my flowers.
Thank you.
If I could design my own heirloom smoothie.
Hmm.
I don't like pineapple.
Fun fact.
Don't like pineapple.
So I'd probably do, like,
maybe, like, a mango.
No, maybe a peach.
A peaches and cream.
Let's get it done.
I want a smoothie.
Give me a smoothie.
I've lived in LA now for 10 years.
Well, just about, almost.
I'm coming up on my 10-year anniversary.
And I, when I first moved here, I hated it.
I did not understand it at all.
And then I think once I found my friends and started working,
then it kind of opened itself up to me a bit.
And I found my people.
Now I can't imagine living anywhere else.
I feel like when I'm shooting, I miss so much.
Like, I miss birthdays and I miss the hangs and the parties.
So I really, really love a day like this.
Zach, you're popping my Hamburger Mary's cherry.
Oh my god, I know.
I cannot believe you've never been here.
I know.
It's going to be so much fun.
I want to go to bingo.
Hi.
This is a role called Thursday, the Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood.
And we are just about to start the show.
And we're getting prepped.
I'm putting on my blue eyeliner to make my eyes pop out there so they can see me.
We're going to entertain everybody.
We got some celebrations.
We got birthdays.
We have anniversaries.
Even some divorces.
But we're going to make everybody happy.
Feel loved and wanted.
Like we always do.
Surprise!
Bitches!
Oh my god.
I'm so starstruck right now.
I should have taken a beta blocker.
Jasmine and I are the biggest fans of horror movies.
So I know what you did last summer.
Oh, Danica.
Yes.
We talked about doing the skit with both of us doing stuff together.
Oh, what would you do?
We don't know, girl.
Oh, she'll talk about that all the time.
You know, it's so funny too because I didn't know.
Like, I did my own stunt.
I had to learn how to flip over the side of the boat.
But watching it back in the theaters, the way I fell over like a rag doll.
Were you flipped into the actual water?
Oh, no, no, no.
Like on stage.
They had me in a harness, but they were like, no.
She went over.
Yeah.
No.
They came for you out to see you in a real way.
No, no, no.
In a very fake way.
Yes, yes, right.
No, no, no.
But it's giving Natalie Wood with that boat.
You could do the bio, the biopic.
I could.
I can't escape boats.
Right.
I also feel like you guys are wearing the kind of matching set.
No, we're kind of coyote ugly, no?
Yeah, you're the coyote, I'm the ugly.
Jenny, turn the mic up.
Yes, yes, yes.
Hamburger Bears, are you ready?
We have so many RuPaul's Drag Race superstars in the show tonight.
And if you don't know what that is, you live under a rock.
We will be with you momentarily.
DJ, play me something sexy, baby.
But I want to raise up a toast to you for being an amazing entertainer, an amazing actress.
You are taking over Hollywood in such a beautiful way with a great attitude.
And thank you for being a f***ing ally and coming to this show and just supporting drag
and supporting the LGBTQ plus business and culture and community.
And we're really, really grateful.
Y'all, I'm going to make some noise for this beautiful diva.
Hey, cheers.
Thank you.
Cheers, my love.
And you got pretty feet, bitch.
I'm sorry.
