This video demonstrates a professional 10-minute makeup routine tailored for the workplace, with specific techniques for hooded eyes and under-eye bags. The creator focuses on a lightweight, polished aesthetic and provides four distinct style variations—Creative, Meeting, Zoom, and Friday—to help viewers adapt their look to different professional scenarios and lighting conditions.
If you want to look fresh and pull together before work without spending your entire
morning in front of the mirror, this quick and easy 10 minutes makeup routine is for you.
I also have under-eye bags and hooded eyes, so if you struggle with either of those,
I'll show you a few little tricks that makes a huge difference, especially early in the morning.
And this video is sponsored, so thank you so much for supporting today's video, and let's begin.
You already know the brand, and you've seen me wear these pieces in so many of my videos,
and even on my birthdays, so I'm not going to give you another long introduction.
Instead, I'll show you how I mix and style the jewelry for different workday looks.
I also have the necklaces here.
They're both incredibly beautiful, sophisticated, and timeless.
Perfect for any occasion.
So now let's get into the makeup.
Skin prep.
Early in the morning, the first thing I want to fix is the puffiness around my eyes and
hooded lids.
I'm starting with the Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Eye Cream.
It feels lightweight, but it gives this delicate area the hydration it needs before makeup.
And if you don't have time for a workout in the morning, try a quick facial massage instead.
After washing my face, I apply the eye cream and use the cool pads or my fingers
just to massage around my eyes just about 10 times.
For my face, I'm using also the Refi Glow and Sculpt Face Serum Primer with Niacinamide.
And I love this product because the texture is so light and watery,
and it can do just more than one job during a busy morning.
I use it for a quick sculpting massage and then leave it on just as my makeup primer.
That's it.
And the massage helps my cheekbones and jawline look more defined,
while the serum creates a smooth, natural base for foundation.
I especially like it for long days.
It doesn't make my skin look oily or overly wet, but it just isn't completely matte either.
Once it sets, it looks like healthy, natural skin.
That's it.
No extra glow.
And it also sits beautifully under foundation without peeling or creating dry patches.
Next is lip balm.
It's an absolute must for everyday makeup.
I'm applying this Kiss Lip Butter generously now,
so my lips have time to soften while I finish the rest of my face.
It isn't sticky and it doesn't leave that heavy, overly glossy balm look.
Now let's move on to foundation.
Serum-like finish with these subtle pink light reflective particles
that create a beautiful soft focus effect.
Instead of pumping the foundation directly onto my face,
I place a small amount on the back of my hand first.
This gives me much more control and prevents the base from becoming heavy or patchy.
I'm applying it with a synthetic brush.
I start along the jawline using small tapping and dabbing motions,
then work upward in little rows, almost like a soft zigzag.
Like a snake game, if you know, you know.
So I don't need a lot of coverage.
A thick layer can look very heavy under strong office lighting,
which is why I usually recommend lightweight serum-like foundations for work.
Before applying eye makeup, always remove any excess oil or skincare from your eyelids.
Actually, oil breaks down makeup, so if I leave too much skincare on my lid,
my eyeshadow will crease throughout the day, even if I used eye primer.
Apply on a very thin layer.
Don't worry if it looks a little white at first, and definitely don't use too much.
A thick, creamy layer won't dry properly and may start creasing.
I cover the entire eyelid up to the brow bone,
and then I take the tiniest amount under my eyes
and across those hollow triangles besides the nose,
especially around the areas where my T-zone gets oily.
For me, a tiny amount of eye primer can work beautifully under the eyes
instead of a heavy concealer here.
For my brows, I'm using the Benefit Mitofine Brow Pen.
Using very light pressure, I draw short hair-like strokes only where I have gaps.
At the front of the brow, I use even less pressure,
because I don't want a solid block of color here.
And then I use the Benefit Brow Gel.
The longer bristles are great for dense brow hairs.
I use the shorter bristles around the front,
because I have so many little baby hairs there,
and I just need to press them in the right direction.
For the eyes, I'm using the Natasha Denona Anita Nuda Shadow Palette.
You can create so many different looks with it.
The mirror is huge, the quality is beautiful,
and the shimmer shades just feel buttery instead of dry.
So first, I smooth out the eye primer with my fingertip,
then I press a little matte shadow across the entire lid.
We need to set the primer evenly,
so every other color blends smoothly and doesn't become patchy.
Next, I take a fluffy brush and pick up a slightly deeper peachy shade.
And I place it directly in the outer corner where I want to shape the eye.
Because my eyes are hooded, I apply the color slightly above my natural crease,
while my eyes are open, that's important.
And if I place everything inside the fold,
the shadow will disappear as soon as I relax my face.
Then I switch back to my previous blending brush with a light beige shade
and blend everything from side to side.
It's such an easy technique for busy mornings.
For the final definition, I take the deepest shade from the palette on the small sharp brush
and press it directly along the up lash line.
I'm not creating dramatic wing,
and just a soft blended line that makes the lashes look fuller
and gives the eye more structure without looking heavy.
And this saves so much time in the morning.
Let's add a little sparkle to the center of the lids,
just to connect it to the shine of the jewelry.
And I don't want anything too yellow or too golden,
I want that cooler diamond-like sparkle.
So I'm choosing a silver shade.
And look at how beautiful that is, amazing.
For mascara, I'm using Armani Lift Mascara in Black.
I concentrate the first coat at the roots
and then pull the mascara upward through the lashes.
This gives the eyes clean lift and definition
without making a daytime look feel overloaded.
With hooded eyes, I like directing the outer lashes slightly outward.
It continues the shape we created with the eyeshadows
and gives the eyes a subtle lifting effect.
On blush, I'm keeping the technique very simple.
I'm using the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush Stick in Cherry shade,
and the color looks very strong in the stick,
so I start with a small amount and build it slowly.
I pick up the product with a brush and tap it onto the cheeks.
Lately, I've been loving this kind of technique like a painter.
Triangle placement instead of pulling the brush all the way toward the temples.
The creamy finish gives my cheeks enough natural light
that I don't need any additional highlighter for this quick routine.
And you can save time here.
If I'm in a serious rush,
I'll even tap a little of the blush onto my lips and leave it there.
Then after my coffee, I can add a gloss or whatever lip product I want.
But today, I want to show you this amazing lipstick.
I'm applying the Guerlain Kiss Kiss Honey Infused Lipstick
in this gorgeous gold case.
I know everyone asks about this case,
it can be difficult to find now because it was a special piece,
but try searching for gold lipstick chain case.
I love all the little details, the bead, the golden logo, the chain.
The lipstick bullet itself is very slim, sharp and precise,
so it's incredibly easy to outline the lips without using a separate lip liner.
Just look at that.
The color is beautiful rose with a soft peachy warmth.
It's perfect as we move into fall
and can finally start wearing those pumpkin spice inspired shades again.
I'm applying generously so you can see the full pigment.
The finish is a comfortable soft matte and the lipstick inside is refillable,
so you can keep the case and simply replace the shade.
And this is exactly the kind of lipstick I love for a long workday.
It looks polished, but it can fade naturally after coffee or lunch and still looks beautiful.
If you prefer glossy lips, you can add the oil.
Do you remember when I told you I wouldn't open a new one
until I had completely finished my old one?
That's exactly the same gloss, just in a different shade.
So, well, here's the proof.
My old Guerlain gloss is completely empty, so now I can finally open the new one.
I concentrate it in the center first and then spread it across the rest of my lips.
And now the makeup is finished and jewelry is always my final step
because it sits so close to the face.
Look two.
For a more creative office look, let's add what I called color theory.
Let's add the muted olive.
And actually, you can use plump as well.
They both can work exactly like brown.
But be careful.
They still feel wearable and sophisticated.
They just make the eyes more interesting.
We talked about this so many times.
So I'm using a soft olive pencil around the lash line
and blend the edges until the color becomes smoky.
And you could use the exact same placement with plump, with burgundy.
Olive adds warmth and depth, while plump can make green eyes look especially bright.
But just be careful with very red-toned plump shades
if your eyes tend to become dry or irritated after a long day in front of the laptop.
You just don't want your makeup to make it look like you've been crying at work, right?
Because the eyes already have color, I'm keeping the cheeks and lips very soft.
And then I'm adding the cuff and as one beautiful statement around the ear,
so I don't need to add too many other details.
Look number three.
For an important meeting, I'm keeping the same fresh base, but adding more structure.
I'm also changing the earrings and creating a symmetrical combination
with Lou on one side and Sage on the other.
Lou feels clean and delicate, while Sage creates a tiny cluster of sparkle.
They aren't identical, but they just still feel connected.
And the easiest way to define the eyes for a meeting is with eyeliner, of course.
I'm using a black pencil to tightline and fill in the gaps right at the roots of my lashes.
This gives me definition without taking up valuable space on my visible lid.
Just to remind you, I have hooded lids and we can't use this mobile lid,
so I apply the pencil generously between the lashes,
then extend the outer corner into the clean lid shape.
And if you have hooded eyes, keep your eyes open
while deciding on the direction of the eyeliner.
Otherwise, the wing may look perfect when your eyes are closed
and completely disappear when you open them.
And I'm stretching the wings slightly.
Actually, the more saturated lip balances the black eyeliner
and makes the entire look feel sharper and more intentional.
So the skin is still natural, but the eyes and lips now have clear definition.
And this is the makeup version of I know exactly what I'm talking about.
And I love how the asymmetrical earrings make such a simple makeup look feel even more intentional.
Look 4
For a Zoom day, I would wear this beautiful small earring and with the eyes a necklace.
Together, they add definition around the face without distracting from the makeup.
For a video call, I don't necessarily add more foundation or heavy contour.
Instead, I create more contours through brightness and definition.
You don't need a dramatic lipstick here.
You only need enough contrast for the camera just to see your features, right?
And I also bring the blush slightly higher so my face doesn't look flat on the screen.
And then I use a pink tone brightening powder to create a smooth velvety finish.
On camera, this works almost like a filter.
Just trust me.
I apply it under the eyes just to remove unwanted shine
and visually soften the under eye bags.
So this is where you can really see the power of makeup.
And I also press a little brightening powder under beneath the cheekbone.
And finally, I add a little darker eyeshadow to the inner and outer corners of the eyes.
And this gives the eyes more shape and dimension.
Cameras love this kind of definition.
It looks detailed, interesting, and very charming on the screen.
For the final look,
I'm wearing ISA with a cuff.
The cuff creates the effect of complete diamond ear stuck.
First, I blot away any excess shine and add concealer only where the makeup has faded.
Then I press a generous layer of light shimmer onto the center of the lid.
We can go a little stronger now.
It's Friday.
So I deepen the outer lashes line and add more definition
to both the inner and outer corners.
And look at how much more dramatic and dimensional the eyes look already.
For the lips, I'm using a deeper muted red with a reddish brown undertone.
This lipstick palette is even slimmer than the first one.
So again, you can use it by itself without a lip liner.
One layer gives you a softener, wash off a color,
or you can build it up for a fuller coverage.
It has a comfortable soft matte finish that doesn't feel dry
or crack every time you eat, drink, or smile.
The reddish brown color is perfect for fall.
And I'm also tapping a tiny bit onto my cheeks as blush,
just to tighten the entire look together.
Dinner lighting is usually much softer than bright office lighting,
so you can add a little more color and definition without the makeup looking heavy.
And look at everything together now.
Just gorgeous.
I love that I still don't feel a thick layer of makeup on my face.
And that's it.
A full polished perk makeup look in about 10 minutes.
Plus 5 different ways to style and transform it
depending on the kind of workday you're having.
Which makeup version would you wear?
Would you recreate it exactly?
Or would you change something?
