Hello, little friends! Welcome to Baby First Playtime!
Today, our ears are going on a very special adventure.
We'll visit a busy farm, meet some animal friends,
and discover the different sounds they make.
Our adventure begins with a song.
Let's listen to Old MacDonald Had a Farm.
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
And on his farm he had some chicks, E-I-E-I-O
With a chick chick here and a chick chick there
Here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick chick
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
And on his farm he had some cows, E-I-E-I-O
With a moo moo here and a moo moo there
Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
E-I-E-I-O
And on his farm he had a horse, E-I-E-I-O
With a neigh neigh here and a neigh neigh there
Here a neigh, there a neigh, everywhere a neigh neigh
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
And on his farm he had a mule, E-I-E-I-O
With a hee haw here and a hee haw there
Here a hee, there a haw, everywhere a hee haw
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
That was fun!
Old MacDonald's farm was filled with animals
and every animal had its own special sound
Did you sing along?
Maybe you barked, quacked, or mooed with the animals
Which animal sound do you remember?
Now Harry and Larry are visiting a farm too
Let's listen carefully and find out who needs their help
One sunny morning, Harry the bunny visited a little farm
He wore a bright helper badge on his shirt
Harry smiled
Today I'm going to be an animal helper
Larry flew down and landed beside him
Helper, said Larry
Harry looked around
But who needs our help?
Just then they heard a sound near the farm gate
Harry stopped
He tilted his head
What was that?
Larry blinked
They listened again
Harry's ears perked up
It's coming from the gate!
Gate, said Larry
They walked closer, slowly, listening carefully
Now the sound was clearer
Harry smiled
I think that's a dog
Dog, said Larry
At the gate they found a friendly dog wagging his tail
The dog looked happy and strong
He didn't need help
But he kept glancing toward the pond
Harry wondered why
Then, as they stood there, they heard another sound
Harry paused
He looked around
What was that?
Larry tilted his head
Harry's eyes widened a little
It's coming from the water!
Water, said Larry
They followed the sound slowly
Now they could see a duck swimming in little circles
Harry smiled
I think that's a duck
Duck, said Larry
The duck flapped her wings and looked toward the big red barn
Harry noticed
Maybe something else is over there
They walked toward the barn
Then they heard a deep sound
Harry stopped
He looked left
Nothing
He looked right
Still nothing
Harry looked up
A big brown cow was standing right in front of him
Harry laughed
There you are!
Cow, said Larry
The cow calmly chewed her hay
She didn't need help either
But then her ears twitched
She had heard something too
Harry and Larry became very quiet
At first they heard only the wind
Then, very softly, Harry froze
What was that?
Larry whispered
Harry's eyes softened
It's small
Very small
Small, said Larry
They followed the tiny sound behind the barn
There, beside a basket of hay, was a small yellow chick
The chick looked left
Then right
Harry sat down gently
I think this little chick is looking for her family
Larry looked around
Mama?
Harry nodded
We need to listen carefully
So they stood very still
They listened again
But no mother hen
The chick peeped again
Harry thought
Maybe we need to listen from higher up
Larry flew to the top of the fence
He turned his head slowly
Then, suddenly, Harry looked up
Larry called again
From the other side of the barn, a gentle sound answered
Harry smiled
That's her!
Hen, said Larry
Harry walked slowly beside the chick
Larry flew above them
They followed the clucking sound around the barn
The mother hen was waiting near the chicken coop
The chick ran forward
The mother hen opened her wings
The chick snuggled safely beside her
Harry smiled warmly
We found her by listening carefully
Larry flapped happily
Listening!
The dog barked at the gate
The duck quacked at the pond
The cow mooed near the barn
And the little chick gave one last happy peep
Every animal had its own special sound
And Harry and Larry had learned that if you listen carefully
You can find who needs help
What a lovely farm adventure!
Harry and Larry listened to every sound
And followed each clue carefully
That's how they helped the little chick find its mama
They discovered that every animal has its own special sound
Sometimes, listening carefully can help us solve a problem
Can you make your favorite animal sound?
Now, let's move like the animals with the animal dance!
Do the animal dance, do the animal dance
Jump, jump like a frog
You can do it if you try
Fly, fly, flap your arms
Like a bird up in the sky
Now, walk sideways like a crab
Looking for some food to grab
Do the animal, do the animal dance
What a fun animal dance!
We moved, danced, and played like so many different animals
Which animal did you like moving like?
Maybe you stomped like a big animal
Or flapped your arms like a bird
Now, our bodies can take a little rest
But our ears have another job to do
Bonnie Bear is about to hear some new animal sounds
Each sound will give her a clue
Can you help Bonnie guess which animals are nearby?
Let's listen carefully and find out!
Listen to the sounds as they fill the air
Bonnie's magic brush will take us there
Oh dear Bonnie Bear, let's all play
The listening game every day
Listen to the sounds as they fill the air
Pictures come alive, can you see them there?
Oh dear Bonnie Bear, let's all play
The listening game every day
Listen to the sounds
Listen to the sounds and play
Bonnie Bear!
My name is Bonnie
Hello Bonnie, do you want to play the listening game?
Mm-hmm, I do, I do
My magic paintbrush is ready too
Okay then, let's play
Did you hear that sound?
Let's listen to it again
What could it be, Bonnie?
That's a goat
That's right, Bonnie, a goat
Okay, now I'm going to play another sound for you
Oh, did you hear that?
Let's listen to it again
What could it be?
I know, that's a donkey
That's right, Bonnie, a donkey
Okay, now I'm going to play another sound, get ready
Did you hear that sound?
Let's listen to it again
So, what could it be?
I know, that's a goose
A goose, that's right
Bonnie, let's listen to the sounds again
A goat
Donkey
So, Bonnie, can you guess where you can hear those sounds?
I can, I can
Those are sounds you hear at a petting zoo
That's right, Bonnie, a petting zoo
Bonnie listened very carefully
She heard a goat
A donkey
And a goose
Did you recognize any of those sounds?
Let's finish with a song about one more animal
A very special dog named Bingo
There was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name-o
B-I-N-G-O
There was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name-o
I-N-G-O
There was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name-o
N-G-O

O-O-O
And Bingo was his name-o
There was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name-o
And Bingo was his name-o
Today we sang, listened, learned, and played together.
We met some wonderful animals and heard the special sounds they make.
What animal sound do you remember?
Can you make that sound one more time?
Thank you for joining Baby First Playtime.
