Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis podcast episode explores the journey to profitability in Forex trading, emphasizing that success is less about the perfect strategy and more about emotional mastery and risk management. The panel discusses the necessity of treating trading as a professional business, overcoming the psychological traps of winning and losing streaks, and the importance of disciplined process over immediate financial gain.
We have three dimensions of making money.
But the bottom line is that my dreams are so big that only Forex seems to fit.
I had no other choice. I withdrew from university. I had no other business.
So for me, it was either Forex or Forex.
The Mind of a Trader podcast, where we outthink the market.
If you're in a trade right now, take a pause. If you haven't analyzed the markets, don't move.
This might be what you need. This is the Mind of a Trader podcast.
Where we cut through the noise, focus on execution, and break down the mindset behind every single move.
Of course, this is where real traders sharpen their edge.
I am your host, presenter Ali, and this is where discipline meets strategy.
It's been a while since I last had a roundtable discussion with profitable traders.
And today I've decided to do one so that we can talk to many of you who are always following us.
And I truly appreciate each and every one of you who are always tuning in, leaving comments, and subscribing to our podcast.
And from my far left, perhaps we can start with the introduction so you all know who we are.
Professor, please introduce yourself. Thank you.
My name is Prof, and I've been in the business for the past seven years.
I'm glad to be here. OK.
My name is Odipo Kevin. I have been a trader for the last [time period].
Now this is the fifth year. Yes.
I am also the head of training at NFTH, a school we co-founded with presenter Ali.
And I'm also always in the background of podcasts.
He's always behind the scenes of everything we're doing here at the Mind of a Trader.
I'm sure that if you're a trader, one day someone might call you and tell you they're Odipo. That's him.
Yeah. Guys, my name is Zito FX.
And by the grace of God, I have also been in this field since 2018.
This is my ninth year. And I have some advice for you.
And that is why we are here today. Amazing. It seems I'm the only one with less than five years of experience.
We have nine. We have seven and nine.
Seven, five, and nine. That's amazing. So, guys, you're about to experience nine.
Let's just say, at most, at least five years of trading experience from the people I have actually brought on board.
And these are people whose track records I have verified.
And I can tell you all for a fact that they are profitable traders.
So I want us to begin this conversation from a standpoint of profitability.
At what point do you know that I am now a profitable trader?
I'll take that from Odipo. As a trader who's, you know, trading, there are days you're making money.
There are days when you're not making money. And that is absolutely normal.
At what point in your journey do you realize that you are now a profitable trader?
Okay, that's a good question, especially for someone like me who interacts with many mentees and learners.
The point at which I start seeing, including myself, that someone is beginning to become profitable is when your losing trades are fewer in number compared to...
No, when your winners are larger than your losers.
If you've been doing that for some time, then your journey to profitability is gaining momentum.
So in short, if your wins exceed your losses over time, that is called profitability.
Otherwise, if you keep losing more and more and continue depositing while losing, it means you're still not profitable and there are still things you need to work on.
Yes, but when you see your winning trades starting to grow more than your losing ones, you're becoming profitable.
Do you have anything else to add on that?
Yes, I can also add that a person can reach the point of becoming a profitable trader when they have mastered these three key areas of trading.
Having a strategy that you have been consistently applying over a period of time without deviating from it.
Number two, you have a proper, well-structured risk management system that you have been consistently adhering to for a period of time.
And number three, you've trained your mind, which is the hardest part of the business.
At that point, it means you are no longer affected by victories, you are no longer affected by defeats.
Just as you operate at a state we call emotional neutrality, where you've grasped that the forex market is a pool of probabilities.
So this pool is such that everything that happens is random.
So I think, based on larger samples.
So your profitability—perhaps a truly profitable trader will tell you, maybe only after thousands of trades executed repeatedly over a longer period using a particular model.
That means you're executing fewer than five trades per day, yet you've consistently followed this approach for the past six months without deviating from your plan, adhering to the same risk management strategy.
And your mind has also reached a point where losses and wins no longer affect you.
That is extremely critical.
Yes, I do agree with that.
I just kind of feel like I experience it differently.
And of course, even with many traders we trade with in our community, it is on the books—that is what it would say.
But now, looking at us from a biological perspective, we are emotional beings.
We are born with emotions.
We cannot operate in isolation, nor can we isolate our emotions from ourselves.
We cannot work like robots.
There would be days when you wouldn't care about this trade, because in any case, it might hit the stop loss or take profit.
But how do you work on it as someone who is naturally emotional?
You're simply born with these emotions naturally.
You can never act like a robot.
How do you get to that point?
You know, it's easier to tell someone, see, put your emotions aside when you're trading.
It's just like telling someone, be disciplined.
But you're not telling them, exactly how do you become disciplined?
I don't know anyone who can tell us how to do it now; how do you make sure you set emotions aside?
Telling someone to set their emotions aside is easy.
But now the how part.
I don't know.
Professor, can you take that?
Yeah.
Basically, what we're trying to say is how can you manage your emotions?
So for me, what I did was specify it in a certain instrument.
Then I established my rules and specific goals.
So when I reach my goal, I'm done.
So when I take my stop loss, I'm done.
Because every person has what we call capacity.
And each and every one of us has a different capacity.
There is an amount I am willing to lose, and there is a certain amount I am not willing to lose.
So, based on my capacity, I will understand that I will range from this to this.
There's a certain amount that, if I lose, I can't sleep.
So I work within my capabilities and at the level I am at this moment.
Moreover, to add to what was said earlier, the first point is that emotions can be controlled.
And to control emotions, you have to identify where I get emotional.
That is where it begins.
If your problem is possibly closing small profits, you first recognize that this is my problem.
If my issue is adjusting the stop loss, identify the problem.
It is easier to deal with a problem that you have identified.
than a problem that you have not deliberately chosen to recognize in the first place.
Perhaps in my early stages, I used to find that whenever I hit a stop loss,
I tend to get back into the market right away.
When I hit my stop loss, I immediately engage in revenge trading because I want to recover my money.
So I had to write that problem down and now I'm working on it with a deliberate decision.
Every morning as a trader, I always do what we call affirmations.
That I will write down and tell myself, Zito, I am going to follow my rules.
Because you cannot trade without a plan.
So I am going to follow my rules.
What are my problems?
My problem at that time was, I still do it to this day.
For nine years now, I have had to do my affirmations every day.
I will not adjust the stop loss.
I tell myself and I write it down.
I will evaluate myself at the end of the day.
Sometimes at the initial stages, you have promised yourself that you will not adjust the stop loss.
But eventually you find yourself adjusting it.
But the more you do it, the next day I'll tell myself,
Yesterday I told myself this and I repeated it.
Tomorrow I will do my best not to repeat it.
So in the morning when I am writing my affirmations,
I said yesterday that I was tempted, and I was tempted to do this again.
But today I promised myself I wouldn't do it.
How am I going to do that?
Whenever I trigger a stop loss, I will step away from the charts for 10 to 15 minutes.
before returning to the screens.
Again, it is a pure and deliberate decision to train yourself.
Amazing. I think one thing that has worked for me
would be what he has said.
Just look at what you're willing to lose.
Because you will always find yourself
every time you overreach,
You're always on the empty five.
But every time you don't,
It's as if you've even forgotten that you set a trend.
Actually, I wanted to address it from the root cause of the emotion.
You see, if you address the root cause,
You shall have solved the entire effect.
So the main underlying cause of people experiencing unnecessary emotions in the market,
It directly depends on the amount of money you are risking per trade.
If you risk more than you can afford to lose,
Technically, you will be checking your empty five every five seconds.
to find out how it is doing.
Why? Because you've accomplished more than you could possibly achieve.
So what you need to do is
You need to risk a very small amount.
that you can afford to lose.
Yes, if you risk, for example, 0.5% as you do,
I always tell people that Ali
He is one of the most conservative traders I know.
If you risk, for example, 0.5% of your account,
I can assure you,
You can go on a losing streak.
But you won't have emotions interfering.
But if you start risking 5%, 20%,
in the second trade,
You are already 10%
approaching 20% in your account,
Emotions start to take over.
So the major root cause of the emotional rollercoaster in trading is the inherent uncertainty and unpredictability of market movements, combined with the psychological impact of real-time gains and losses, which trigger strong emotional responses such as fear, greed, and anxiety, often leading to impulsive decisions that undermine disciplined trading strategies.
is over-risking.
That is number one.
Number two is trading under financial distress.
If you know you are trading
yet you have bills to pay,
You're bringing rent money.
You're introducing school fees into the market,
You're bringing the money for your children's maintenance,
Just know that now you're playing with fire.
Because you will have to be checking
the empty 5 after every 5 seconds
to check whether you have not lost your money.
So to me,
The only solution to that is
if you want to operate from
It's called MacDougal's; the call is in the zone.
If you are trading in the zone,
It means that you are trading.
when you can afford to lose
And then you focus on the long term.
For example, I always advocate for
30 trading days
with at least 10 trades
that you have not changed.
If you approach it from that perspective,
You will have fewer emotions.
So fix on the amount you want to risk,
Let it be so small and then
Do not bring money that is truly intended
for critical operations of your daily life
And then focus on the long term.
If you operate that way,
Trading becomes just like any other business.
A stop loss becomes an expense.
That is how we attempt to address emotions.
Otherwise, emotions you cannot address
if you don't approach it from that angle.
When it comes to
the emotional side
of the market,
Apart from that, perhaps another emotion
that we have not addressed
feeling good after a victory
stake
Also, all those things
do affect us.
You will find that
It's not necessarily fear and greed.
but sometimes you win and you are
so happy that
It affects the next trade.
Is there a way you can
Handle that?
I think it's overconfidence.
that comes in especially if you hit some
winning streak. You begin to develop
that overconfidence in the market.
Of course there is excitement. The human brain
is not wired to lose.
We are wired to always be aiming
to win. That's why you see
trading is one of the
emotionally intense
a kind of career. So when we
win, it spikes the dopamine
in the brain, and therefore we begin
to get excited and from that excitement
We get off the track.
So you're talking about
How do we focus on that?
How do you control that?
You've been on a
20 days, 10, 15, 5 days
winning streak and you do
I don't want it to
have an effect on your next trade.
Stick to your plans. Let
Winners will be a celebration of the day.
If I make a 10-profit like today
I was telling you it took 10 hours.
trade
I got excited at that moment
and we got into the story and I forgot
about it because now I'm focused on tomorrow.
Because today might be exciting
Tomorrow I take stop losses. It doesn't
I need to influence the people around me.
So stick to your plan, and if it is
celebration, celebrate today. Tomorrow move
On because this is just like any other business.
If you get a client in other businesses
You're excited, and then you aim for the next.
client. Maybe to add on that
one of the dangerous
things in forex
is on a winning streak.
A winning streak is more dangerous
than even a losing streak because winning
streak as you have mentioned, sir
your brain releases what we call
dopamine. Dopamine creates
expectation. Sometimes we become discouraged
when we lose because we had
an expectation. Guys, when you are
expecting to get something and missing it
You will always feel bad. It's not because
you have hit the loss, but now after having
first win, second win, third win
by the time you reach the fourth trade
as much as you are following the plan you have
What has already been generated? An expectation.
What will an expectation tell you?
The next trade
This feeling feels good. I want to
See more of this happening to me.
So immediately the next
trade fails, you will feel like
Something negative has happened to you.
What I did personally to Ali, apart from
now having the affirmations, which is very key
knowing, and you tell yourself that I am not
affected by wins or losses. I think in
probabilities and in larger samples because that is
What I did in forex
Something's funny. I decided to open
An account called Cent Account.
I opened a 2,000-cent
account. So to me, that's like 2,000
dollars and I was risking
40 shillings
Those who know it's 0.4 dollars
making 0.8 dollars.
So literally if you tell
Here I am in Kenya; if I lose 40
How much do I feel anything?
Pressured to adjust top loss? I will not.
feel anything. And if I win 80
Will I feel any excitement?
No. I literally did that for two months.
By the time I was reaching the third month, I was
not attached to the outcome
anymore because what literally
affects a lot of traders is that
Most traders trade their account balance.
As your seeds are. They don't trade the market.
There is a difference between trading your account balance
and trading the market. So you
have to train yourself with an amount the way you
Trade your seed. The amount you lose is one you don't feel.
anything. So you have to start with
Take an account like a cent account. When
You are using a cent account, so you will not be affected at any given time.
point because you know very well if I'm making
Forty shillings cannot pay my rent.
It cannot pay my bill. So I will accept the probability.
to play out when I win
The way we're talking about wins.
How will it help me when I win 80 shillings?
Me? It's easy for me to handle.
My emotions when winning
and losses don't affect me at
All. And it's something to be trained. Once you do
That's for, I did it for the first month
but as I was approaching the second month, I realized
that even if you gave me ten million right now
One million dollars, I will still
apply the same set of
It's a skill. You have learned it using this.
a small amount that you don't have an attachment
to it. Over time, it becomes
something that is already built in
You. So it becomes so easy for you.
to manoeuvre in the market without being
attached again to either wins or losses
because now your mind has trapped this idea
This thing is long-term.
I think in larger samples. Imagine I've been
doing this for the past month, the last
Two months ago, I took 50 trades and I have
25 wins, 25 losses. So I'm not
affected at any given moment. In other words, it's
looking at
trading from a compounding perspective
Like, say you
do not look at today's trade, you
Look at how many trades I have
won in the last three months
over the trades that I've
lost. That's why I think many people
would say that
One good trade does not make you a good trader.
trader. One bad trade does not make you a failure.
A bad trader. Now let's talk about something else.
that many beginners always
Ask me every time.
We have many people who
You guys have been in the industry for
a minute now.
They ask me
any worse?
Easier? You know, like right now
I'm in my
Ninth year
7th year, 5th year
Does it get any better where someone says
Guys, don't worry
Does it get any
Easier? That's just very simple.
Question. Does it ever get any easier? Because
I think for my first year
It was a roller coaster.
I would spend 15
hours a day in the chat
sleep the remaining hours, get up and do
the same and
I don't do that anymore, but I
Don't feel like it does
any easier. There are always
new things you are learning
You are still refining your strategies.
you are always, unless you
Have a very simple system
that works for you and you decide
Now this is the system I'm going to use.
like Mzito
the one you showed us in our previous video
Yeah, but
Does it ever get any easier emotionally?
I know financially it
will eventually, but just
for the
for the psychology part
Does it ever get any easier?
Let me start.
I don't think it gets easier.
what happens is when you get into
In trading, you have a lot of expectations.
and the expectation is what
is what is going to
be tamed
eventually over the years because
When I got in, I didn't know that
At this time in the fifth year, I will not be having a Lamborghini.
so
when that reality check sets in
You start accepting your reality
and then you realize that forex is just like
Any other business
that if I join I have to
know the ins and outs
You start getting comfortable, so it is that.
comfort that people think that
It's easy, no, it's that you've
Accepted the reality, you've known
You are now
You know the business, how it works
So you stop using social media
the pressure you thought
What is trading, in the true sense?
They are not trading, so I think generally
is that you come to understand
and accept the reality of trading
so that way you start seeing it
as easy but not necessarily
just like any other business, it has the
ups and downs
Let's talk about something else.
when you
Start trading, I think
You've highlighted it a little bit.
you realize that there are
aspects of trading that many people
do believe they are true until you
get into the industry, can you guys talk about
some of the things like you guys believed
really existed in the industry
until you got
into it and you're like oh this is not
even a thing in this industry
personally
one of the things that I was convinced of
the person who introduced me to the game
One day we were working with a guy.
along Kenya Tavern and this guy
showed me an account
he had deposited with Temple FX
$200 at that time he had 20,000
Kenyan shillings
so when I saw his account, he had taken
Two mini trades, and all of them were blues.
so from 20,000 this guy is at
80,000 Kenyan shillings profit
so I was convinced that it is
So easy to make money, this guy had
20,000 few minutes just we are
Maybe 100 meters
This guy has already made over
$600 on top
I believed I was convinced that
when I get into this space I will
Open an account for my mother
for my siblings and stark poverty
completely because if it's this easy
I don't want to
See this poverty again, because if it's this easy
That is one of the things that motivated me.
but when I realized I had never known that
This game is always the
the other side of the market
when you have wins, you can also have
The loss occurs with a probability that is always 50-50.
the market can either buy or
I used to believe that
Profitable traders are those who take too many trades.
and most people even now are convinced by
when they see people on social media
are showing early when you post one trade you have
Post and it is a win—you may have won.
$500 and another person
Post a trade 20 trades
or 30 trades and the same results
Do you know that most people tend to believe
this person who has taken too many trades
forgetting that these too many trades are
Big risk even if it's 0.01
100 trades, you are trading one full lot
But me, I've just taken one trade of 0.05
You are receiving the same amount.
So one of the things that I really really
believed is that when I get
into this market and I'm taking too many trades
At the same time, I'm going to buy a car very easily.
and I was following
South African young men, and they were telling us
early that time that
If you are in my trading group
and you are taking a lot size of 0.01
Please leave us alone; we are here to change lives.
and we are here to make people better
so trade 0.1 lot and
Above, we never knew what it was.
so that is one of the things that really really
ate deep in me when I got into
The market where I deposited my $40
before I realized
It went up to around $180.
I traded a lot size of 0.5
I don't forget that day when I did a large amount of
Half a guy once I did half a
The market went well; I saw around
$300–$400, so I went
to close, you see, at that point we are
Close with the profit off, so I had to hold.
There was waiting to close, so I was seeing it go.
Hi, I said let me wait for $600.
You know, I was still holding on until it came down.
to 0.0
briefly, you are saying that
You thought the market was easy.
That is one of the things I thought.
Very easy
For me, I thought that
Strategy was everything.
So I went in six months.
I was waking up in the morning.
By six I was in town.
so I did that for
Six good months
I was coming to class
Yeah, I was coming for
classes to learn a new strategy
to learn a new strategy
So by now we were conducting backtesting.
I did backtesting for
Five good years ago
for each and every pair
so I thought that now with
I am good at this skill.
because in the market there is
something that unfolds during a backtest
You always end up finding that you win.
I went back home.
I sold my piece of land.
I came unfunded
Now the market showed me something.
I placed one lot
in the amount of $100
That was it.
I didn't know how to calculate the lot.
by that time
With one lot, I didn't know that
One lot means $10 per pip
So right away I took that trade.
It was GPPSD.
The market moved 8 pips.
away from my site
I was buying when the market went 8 pips down.
my account was
negative 80 dollars
in the blink of an eye
By the time I realized that I had placed lot 1
It came back.
And I closed lot 2 for $20.
I was very happy at that time.
But now I didn't know that
It is not strategy that makes you profitable.
but now it is
Actually, your psychology
Wow, amazing story
Okay
So you asked that
some of the
One thing maybe you used to believe
is really a thing in trading
and then you really later
learned that
There are several things I believed from the very beginning.
that people are
flashing their lives
Online, they are trading.
Oh, an interesting perspective.
Those people are not trading.
You will hang.
around traders
You will realize
1 in 10 traders
You could be the only trader.
People aren't trading out here.
Disclaimer
I'm not mentioning names, but people aren't trading.
out here
Actually, let me tell them
Ali and I hang around.
All these people you see online
Most of them are flashing.
but this is the result
We leave that place thinking, are we the only people?
producing products
all the time when we leave with Ali
after meeting these traders
we ask ourselves
Are we the only ones trading?
what the hell
So that is one thing.
that I used to believe that they
They are traders, but they are not traders.
The next thing I used to believe is
that most people simply have
The capital problem that most people have
You have a strategy.
You have risk management issues.
You have psychology to fix
so if you sit there thinking that you are
It's very profitable; it's only capital that you are.
lacking, please go and
Double-check that, because that's something I used to believe.
In another thing is
I really
underestimated how long
This thing can take
because the expectation
was so high and so is
The disappointment I didn't know
that this thing could take me a year
before I could start seeing some small
results
And forex will break you.
I will push you to your absolute limit.
and then eventually if you stick
Of course it will pay, but it doesn't.
mean that if you have 4 years of
Now you are a trader
Fools also grow old.
That is another disclaimer
Yes, yes, yes
That is quite interesting.
and I love the fact that you brought
about the flashy
aspect of life, and I mean
I have nothing against it and
I do believe that there are people who
Don't show that side, and they still trade.
There are people who completely do not
show their personal lives but
They also trade.
and I want to understand
a point
if that's what attracted you guys
to trading
once you realize that it is not
The truth: why didn't you guys leave?
Why didn't you leave?
one of the things that
really made me stay put
Is that it?
For me, I had no choice.
I dropped out of university.
So for me, it was either forex or forex.
Everyone was learning together.
We decided to look for jobs.
They realized they had degrees.
Let me look for work.
but now for me and a cousin of mine called
We had no choice.
I remember we went to the house and googled.
I have even fasted for 21 days to ask God
Is this real?
I googled whether people really make money in forex
because we were blowing
You have money in the morning, and by evening you've lost everything.
And this is where I'm going to buy a car.
Is this possible?
but what kept me in the game now is after googling
Do people really make money in forex?
I saw, yes
Now I was referred to Mark Douglas.
Adam Koo
When I researched Adam Koo, I realized
Adam Koo is talking more about psychology.
Mark Douglas is talking more about psychology.
They are saying to take fewer than three trades per day.
as a beginner
Risk what you are willing to lose.
At least your risks will be small.
That time I was doing 20 trades
I realized this is the problem
I am overtrading.
I am closing with small profits
Train yourself to hold on to profits.
Let your wins be bigger
When you win, win big.
When you lose, lose small
There is also one thing I have learned.
those small lot sizes
or when you risk more
Small sizes tend to grow a count faster.
than large sizes
And I have started practicing it now
It took me another six months due to emotional mastery.
until I reached a certain point
where I am neutral
the question you asked at the beginning
when you grow to a point where losses no longer affect you
It's true, get to a point where real forex is boring.
You are no longer trading to see profit or loss.
in a day, once it reaches profit or loss
You don't mind it anymore either
You are focusing on larger samples.
You've done it so many times.
Until now, when you do something for a long time
It becomes a habit.
It is automatically becoming part of you.
That is one of the things.
I had no choice.
I know there are people online today
either forex or forex
Find the right way.
There was no other option.
It was only forex, and it was supposed to work for me.
the reason why I stayed
You had a job.
You used to be a teacher.
Did you go back to work?
First of all, I don't want to
throw jabs at teachers
but the truth is
My dreams were so much bigger.
than what that profession could offer me
so anyone who is
teaching and their dreams
It's okay if they fit within teaching.
Keep going.
For me, my dreams were much bigger.
then when I was on campus
I began to realize that there is money
online
One of the ways was through forex.
So while I was on campus
I had already started figuring it out
How to make more money than I wanted
So technically, I stayed around.
because the money
Forex is promising me
I haven't even reached a quarter of what I want.
or even a third
So the future is bright
in forex than anywhere else
and then if I remember correctly, in Kenya
Unemployment is a crisis.
So there is no option.
but to be in forex
but the general thing is that my dreams
are too large to be handled by forex
Can you help me out?
That is a very good question.
For me, I figured it out
I did my research.
ways to get rich
You know that there are very few ways to get rich.
You either become a thief
a politician
That one I'm not very good at.
or now
Even as a thief, you're not good at it.
or now
Now try going with a scheme.
so when I first started
and I made my first profit
Then I knew this was the way to go.
Wow, interesting.
Now another key thing that many people talk about
and I would love for you all to address it
but we will do it briefly
I will briefly address it.
because of Mzito
Mzito has a man named Mazito.
Yeah, but
Let's just do it briefly.
due to time
If forex is working for you guys
This is a question many people ask.
Why are you selling the dream to us?
Can't you just trade in peace and leave us alone?
I will answer it
Briefly and directly.
If it weren't for Adam Ku
offering free online trainings
Maybe today I won't be profitable.
So many people are being scammed.
because they fall into the wrong hands
There must be people.
Who will come forward and show others?
The way, and that is the truth.
Some of us are profitable today.
because we landed on people who are doing it
right, and that's why you can't
outdo
the sense that there are people who are
also created to do that in this field
and to assist most of those who are
losing track of the game
So that's perhaps what I can say about it.
see in Kenya
forex is
when forex is picking up compared to others
countries, so there are people who
will create awareness
now it doesn't hurt to create awareness because if it were not for
this awareness I wouldn't have
known forex and I wouldn't
have known people who do it so that
We can have our own group of forex traders.
because this thing needs a community
Otherwise, if you're alone, you'll cry alone.
Yes, so.
The reason why maybe I still proclaim the gospel
though not that much because we have a
school with Ali and we don't even advertise
It's here in the podcast
Yeah, so
the goal is to create awareness for
others to join as well, and most importantly
for people who ask why you also sell now
mentoring, for example, the
The question is whether you people want to learn.
How do you cook, you guys?
Go and look for chefs.
if you want to fly
planes people go to pilots
If you want to be a teacher, you go to
teaching school if we don't create
awareness so that we are known among people who are
interested means that we are not
Going to provide the same avenue as a career
to these people who are interested
so if you want to be a trader you go to
a foreign exchange trader and how can you recognize them
only if we spread
the message wow and there's
Another important thing I did
I think in my previous video I said
that when you
I want you
can never watch 5 or even
100 videos on
Boxing, okay
and you go to fight
the number one champion
you cannot read two books at once
how to perform surgery or
two YouTube videos watch and then you
Go and perform a surgery, then.
It's the same with trading.
you just treat it with the
respect according to the respect it deserves
It's not a career, it's not like that.
anything else that you just
Watch a video because I see many people
saying that why are you charging us
and we have free YouTube videos
I mean if it had been that
Easy for everyone
Yes, there are also
surgeons doing videos showing
How to perform surgery and you
cannot just watch them and then go perform
surgery, so I think
Your point is clear now.
There's one comment that I saw on my
TikTok that said
Actually, on our live
Today on TikTok it says
when you hear
Link in bio run
Let's address this.
why do traders
say
Link in bio
Let me approach it from the beginning.
perspective on why there is
Link in bio
First of all, link in the bio
Let me dismiss.
This notion link in the bio
is nothing wrong because
First of all, nobody is forced to click those.
Links are the first thing
but then the reason why we put it there is because
There are duplicate scams.
of accounts that we people
own so if we don't
Providing you with the links
in the bio and you want to associate
yourself with the product that we use
for example the broker we use
like in this case, Zealand's here
if you want to associate yourself with
Zealand's what if you get a clone
version of Zealand
somewhere else and then
You say presenter Ali and Dipo
are championing Zealand, which is a scam
people, so the link in the bio
Is that it gives you the correct URL
to click so that you can associate
with the products or anything
that we use, for example, we use software
For backtesting, yes
we will place a link there so that
You can have the right platform.
I don't know, it's just that people don't realize how much
so many of these websites have been
cloned outside here with the pay bills
and other things that receive money
So we put a link in the bios for people.
only for people who are
interested in
associated with our product
not critics
For critics, you can just go and search.
online and still use our product
if you have the ability to decide which one is
a fake website from a good website
Wow, interesting.
now
traders make money mainly by buying low and selling high
through influencing brokers
That is a comment.
that people would make
For people who would say no, Mzito does not trade.
He just makes money.
from being a
IB or acting as an introducing broker
Maybe what's your take?
Do traders really make more money?
than IBs
traders and
Is there anything wrong with that?
So Aliya will say this
and our followers should also listen to this
We have three dimensions.
making money in forex
You can become a forex influencer.
so influencers
Most people will see the link in bio, link in bio.
because when you trade through their links
There's some commission they receive through the broker.
We call it IB, introducing broker.
So we have influencers.
in the foreign exchange market
They are really making money through forex, but it's forex.
influencing, we also have forex
Trainers I used to be a trainer
there was a year when I was there
In 2019 I was training people and myself.
I was not trading, so I was making
my money through training, that's why nowadays
I offer free trainings because now I know
True forex, so there are those who are making their money
through forex training
and now the last category is forex
traders who are very few
and because now telling people the truth about forex
Aliya, you've seen people telling us when you tell people
The truth they will not accept, they want
something flashy for them to make money
So real forex traders are rarely seen.
so you are either an influencer
You are either a trainer or you are
either a real forex trader
So those are the three dimensions you want to make money from.
Okay, do you have anything to add?
Are you okay? Yes, yes, I have something.
that I
aspect I can say is
not wrong because we can make
money out of it
because they are selling it because
If I can't train you for free
then now if I am doing
as a business then
I have to earn because
When you go to the market
maybe when you go to do something at a
the business you earn from it, but now
They are not earning as much as they should.
but now you have
Decide for yourself what you want
Do you want to earn to become
money out of influence
Do you want to earn money out of
training or
do you want to become a trader so that
It's up to you to decide, but now
you have to decide what to do
Okay, maybe I can add something.
which, I think, is very crucial
I think I can say this
Your network is your network
in all aspects of life
for example
We were having a very
An interesting discussion the other day with
Eddie Butita, and he was telling me
if you wanted to reach Elon Musk
right now
You have 5 people and you are
I told you that you can only contact five people to reach him.
What would you do?
and I thought about it and I was like
Wow, that's crazy.
Then he asked me if you wanted to reach the president.
What would you do, and I thought about it
Maybe I could talk to him; he has
links to the State House, and then I could talk to the
The president, the one who showed me that
my network is literally
my network and then on top
About that, I'm going to add something else.
affiliate marketing
is an aspect of marketing
that has been around for over
30 years, okay
watch brands phone
brands
all the industries that
we know that are
In business, they have affiliate marketing.
whereby
you tell me about
this microphone
I'll buy it and you get
a commission for telling me about it
so I don't see why people
would think it is bad
aspect of business when it comes
to forex trading because it is just
The same thing when I'm selling
Perfumes, I'm telling you, Odipo sells perfumes.
and you go by using
My code and you make money
You don't see it as a problem.
then why would you see the same
as being a problem
In trading, perhaps to
Add you to that or cut off a limb
Is it true?
You have to build a community.
You need people to become that.
capacity, but what is the information
You're selling outside there
To bring people on board, what are you telling them?
If you're telling them to risk everything
You have sold your land, come risk
everything so that you can double your account
You know you're using a bad language, yes
Introducing people to a broker is good, yes.
Doing affiliate marketing is good, but
What are you doing to bring those?
people on board because if this person
will be your link, and at the end of the
The day you motivated him to sell the land
to come and invest in forex and eventually
lost everything that is not positive
so you can start by first becoming
A trader then becomes a trainer.
Then become the influencer you are
building a network in
the correct procedure but now the
The younger generation is doing it differently.
just someone who ended up becoming an influencer
He knows nothing about forex.
You say I'm making money in forex.
flipping demos flipping accounts maybe test accounts
from brokers and show you that they are making money
so you're getting into the business with the
Wrong intention, yeah
so the key point is that
Use the right words, use the right messaging.
to actually capture the crowd
Can I actually let me let me advise
traders who are struggling
to raise capital and you know what you are
telling the truth is
In Kenya, here there is no
soft loan that is received
that's out of your mind, first of all, unless
You get it from hair movers.
so if there is
No soft loan for you
and you know how to trade
but you are struggling with establishing
capital, so you're just in and
in and out with the capital
This is the advice: there are three ways.
of maybe approaching it number one
start influencing
for brokers
I'm being very honest if I've
Have you ever trained me and are you struggling?
with the capital
Look for me so that I can create for you
and I be linked with zealots
You start influencing there
if you are serious and you can attract, you can
You can advertise.
You will get something from people.
Small to fund your account now, I'm being very real.
the second option
is if you are so good and you have
Have been able to trade a small account
for the longest time, and we can
See your track record, you look for
Even if you don't look for me, you're just looking for
Anyone you can look for Mzito and tell him
Could you offer me an opportunity to
help you train people so that
You can earn something small.
that is still
in the same thing that people discredit
Oh, why are you guys
training people
Why are you doing IBs? Why are you doing the others?
things, so it's just extra
source of money so that we can
all aim towards having the
capital to trade it's not a
thing, and if you feel like it's a bad thing
Luckily for you, maybe you have money.
For us, that is where we started.
That is where we started.
so if you have
the ability to influence people you like
3K followers
or even have 20 people
You have 20 people over whom you have influence.
Look for me and I'm going to
Get you an IB link
I can assure you this is a great deal
for people you see making noise
No one makes noise if it is not sweet.
Of course
I think even in the entire industry
IB Business
one of the most
creative, so guys
We have been having an amazing conversation.
with profitable traders that
I have personally
Noted and known for a while
that they are in the business
trading and of course
We have MFGH.
MFGH
and we have
Professor, and of course we have
Odipo the trader has said
something very interesting if you feel like
You're really good, and you have a network.
people you can influence to trade
pitch out to him and create for you
A link where you'll earn money the same way
I earn money through the links I post.
in my description and I always put a
Disclaimer and let you all know once
Sign up for this once you start trading using them.
Links, I make money, and it's not a bad thing.
and if you feel like it's a bad thing
you don't have to click my link just
Go to zellandsmarkets.com and
Sign up—it's that easy if you
feel like you don't want me to make money from it
that actually let me give them
So if you know you're an influencer
You want to become an influencer
I am being very categorical here.
if you want to be an influencer and you
can influence three or four people
This is my number, make sure you look for it.
so that I can introduce you to
Zelland so that
you can also start earning a small amount, especially
if you have a few followers on TikTok
You look for me, we are going to add you to Zellands.
so that you can join these people
This is where most of us
We also get our money back to even deposit.
So look for me at 07
95
746
130
You put that number somewhere there.
You're looking for me, or if you don't want to look for me
Look for Ali, we will add you to Zellands
so that you can actually join us, people are supposed to
to be taken to Dubai
Very soon, so
so you could learn
yourself there, for example, we have
I think 10
of the people we work with
Who will we be going with?
to Dubai and I think Professor and
Mzito is part of the team that will be going.
Imagine guys going to Dubai
I mean
If you look at trading
as a business
Do not think
that making money is right
Being a bad thing, I think.
It's not
One of the best things now
Due to time, I think we're just going to
Cut it out, I'm gonna cut you guys.
Short, but I really enjoyed the conversation.
We have a lot, a lot, a lot.
of things that we can actually talk about
but just before we leave
I'd like us to talk to
Beginners, okay
We start from Professor's talk to anyone.
beginner who's watching this, maybe they're
feeling like wow it's been a
It's been two years, it's been three years.
I'm not profitable yet, you've been there for
Seven years. What is the greatest advice?
that you can ever give them
It is possible.
it is possible because
In this particular field, we are
We are on a journey, not running a marathon.
We are not running.
100 meters we are journeying
Then another thing I'll tell you that
Forex is actually a skill.
that you will go with it for the rest of your life
So I usually tell my students
that if perhaps the
The lifespan of a person here in Kenya is
Seventy years and every
skill even when you are in
Campus Odipo, you only took
Four years to master your skill—is it?
right now assuming that
Now you want to do this forex full-time
lifetime now you are in
In your early 20s, you are in your 30s.
now assuming the lifespan is
70 years
so if the lifespan
The person is 70 years old now.
You are in your early 30s.
You are the biggest.
fool in the world
Take 10 years
How many years do you have left?
you can still
make an impact with the 30 years that
It remains, so it is possible.
So with my 7 years, I can see progress.
so if you can start today
now
Picture the bigger picture
that it is a skill
I would say for beginners
Start right away
By starting right, is that
find the right people, don't just
jump from mentor to mentor
Don't start with the aim of making money
The process is the first thing.
start with the process after the process
Money follows the process.
once you understand what to do and you are
doing it the right way—that's why at MFG
We have plans before you trade.
Never trade without a plan
and never trade a plan that you haven't
practiced for at least 3 months and above
That's why I always tell you as a beginner
Start right, follow the right people
practice one plan continuously for
a period of at least three months to eighteen months
You realize that you have mastered the plan.
enough, and once you stick to the plan
No matter who you are, you will
Always be profitable
At MFG we always say
Out of plan, out of business
Thank you so much.
Okay, let me talk to beginners.
If you know you are a beginner
As Zito has said, you are supposed to
start right and for that reason
All I want you to do is choose.
Your mentor, just choose one person.
and then discard the rest
so if you choose to go with
Anyone you know, if you'd like to come to our school
We have NFTH, you will find
Me there or you will find Ali
so after you choose someone
Stick to that person and then
Avoid any unnecessary distraction.
until the goal
Why is that?
you came to Forex and if that
Why is big enough?
The how will sort itself out.
Wow, amazing, thank you so much, guys!
For coming, really appreciate you guys if you want
Let's have another round
table, just comment the word
round table or comment on the word Mzito
comment the word Odipu, comment the word Prof
if you want to see them
in our next round table
I truly appreciate you all for always being there
supporting the channel
interacting with the links I share
I'm going to write down their numbers.
In the description, I'm going to include their contacts.
In the description, you can contact them.
and of course do appreciate each
and everyone who's
made this successful, including
the entire team that has been led
by Suleiman and
one amazing
Joffrey, so thank you so much, guys, for watching
The Mind of a Trader, this is
Presenter Ali, and of course I'll see you guys
In the next one. The Mind of a
Trader podcast where we
outthink the market
