Shawn Ryan travels to SIG SAUER headquarters in New Hampshire for a firsthand look at what goes into building some of the most advanced firearms in the world. From the manufacturing floor to SIG’s R&D and testing facilities, Shawn gets an inside look at the engineering, precision, and attention to detail behind their firearms and ammunition before putting several of their weapons systems to the test himself.

The experience continues at the SIG SAUER Academy, where Shawn visits their roughly 140-acre training and testing facility, runs through vehicle-based shooting scenarios, tests new firearms and ammunition, and gets a closer look at some of SIG’s latest capabilities.

This trip gave us an entirely new perspective on just how much detail goes into the manufacturing, engineering, testing, and development of these systems. But one of the biggest takeaways was the culture. Many of the people Shawn met have been with SIG for years, the company promotes from within, and there was an obvious sense of pride in the work being done. As Shawn put it, SIG is a “class act.”
