How are you sir? I'm doing great and yourself? I'm doing very good. So we finally have somewhat
of a conclusion to the Tupac murder saga. Keefy D was just found guilty. What's your take on this?
Did you ever think that you know this day would come? I kind of thought it was going to remain
unsolved forever. Well I've prayed for this day. I was in Las Vegas that night at the fight,
the Tyson fight. You were? Yep when Tupac was was shot and I was with my father,
Reverend Jesse Jackson, went over to the hospital and saw him in pretty bad shape. No way! Yeah so
I grew up, that's my era, and I really enjoyed seeing Mr. Shakur and but I'm grateful for that.
It's been delayed but not denied any longer and but fortunately the assailant, the murderer,
confessed himself. So I can't say the police work was outstanding. He should have been locked up a
long time ago. Yeah it took a long time. Why do you think it took this long and how do we prevent
you know the criminal justice system for taking this long in future cases? Well he confessed
himself. He put it in a book. Right. So had we used proper police investigative technique
and believed the witnesses, they would have cracked the case sooner. So they should have
cracked it over 25 years ago. I mean Mr. Shakur deserved justice then and so it's a long pattern.
We look at Biggie Smalls and others and so too often times young African-American men aren't
given the full weight of justice to resolve these to be the assailants we brought to justice.
We're looking at Nolan Wells today. So let's use the weight of government to solve these crimes
even if it's young black African-American men. Do you think if Tupac was white it would have
been solved years ago? I can't say that but certainly could have put the effort in.
Interesting. Okay well thank you so much. This has finally been served. Yes sir and I'm honoured
for that. Cheers mate. I didn't know you were there that night. Yeah it was an incredible night.
Yeah I was a big Mike Tyson fan. You went into the hospital room with Tupac? Yeah with my father,
Reverend Jesse Jackson. You saw him there lying on the hospital bed? Unfortunately yes.
What an incredible part of American history you were part of. Have a good day sir. Yeah see you
later mate.
