After 10 years of using iPhones, I’ve finally switched — and I’ve gone straight from the iPhone 17 Pro to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8.

I’ve been deep in the Apple ecosystem for years, but the Fold 8 finally gave me enough reasons to see what life on the other side is actually like.

In this video, I unbox the Galaxy Z Fold 8, set it up as my new everyday phone and share my first impressions coming from the iPhone 17 Pro. I’ll look at the folding design, huge inner display, multitasking, Android experience and some of the things I immediately gained and lost by leaving the iPhone behind.

This isn't just a quick review, either. I’m going to use the Fold 8 as my main phone and find out whether a long-term iPhone user can genuinely make the switch to Samsung.
