To return to that dramatic rescue of an e-bike rider in Delaware County.
Video just released today shows how bystanders jump in to help that rider who was struck
by a car and then run over.
This is incredible.
Take a look at the video.
It shows all the people working to pick up that car off of the woman.
They successfully got her out and got her to get some medical attention.
Action News reporter Becca Hendrickson is live in Prospect Park where this all happened.
Becca, the e-bike rider, remains in the hospital.
She does, Sarah and Brian, but she is in stable condition and miraculously she's expected
to be okay.
Partially because of how quickly everyone worked together.
It all happened right behind me.
That VW Beetle was trying to make a legal right turn onto 11th Avenue here from Lincoln
Avenue when the e-bike rider came speeding up the shoulder here and crashed into him.
That's when police say she became trapped underneath.
A 44-year-old woman was trapped under this classic Volkswagen Beetle after crashing into
it on her e-bike.
She screamed for help and help came running from all directions.
All I saw were the lady's legs out from underneath the car.
This was 9.40 a.m. Monday on 11th and Lincoln Avenue in Prospect Park.
Christy Vollmer called 911 as more workers and neighbors rushed over to the car.
Once I heard her scream help, I just ran outside and tried to lift up the car by myself and
then other neighbors came out.
When I saw my delivery driver, I was like, alright, he has muscles.
Picked up the Volkswagen Beetle on its side and drugged the woman out and I told her don't move.
Once freed, the woman was taken to Laguna Hospital with chest injuries.
No special equipment, no training.
They just come over and use brute force to lift these people off the victim.
Prospect Park police say this accident shows the dangers of e-bikes, which you don't need
a license or a helmet to operate in Pennsylvania.
How many more tragedies do we have to see before some type of action is taken?
While police are calling for more regulations around e-bikes.
You stepped in and you did what you had to do, so thank you.
The chief also went back to the scene to thank the helpers.
Thanks so much.
Who came together to save a life.
I wouldn't say a hero.
I just, you know, helped someone that was in need.
And that's what every single one of them said today, who we talked to, who came and helped
in this emergency situation.
They're all heroes who saved a life, again, that woman in stable condition in the hospital.

Yeah, an incredible story, an amazing outcome.
Becca, thank you.
