Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe 2027 Hyundai Insta Lounge is a premium trim of a micro compact EV (known as the Casper Electric in Korea). It focuses on enhancing the user experience through upgraded aesthetics and interior comfort rather than performance, offering a versatile, \"mini lounge\" feel for city commuting and short trips.
If I were to pick one and one and only car from Hyundai that everyone is satisfied with,
and I am talking about the owners who actually got the car and are driving the car,
it will be this 2027 Hyundai Insta Lounge trim that has not yet been introduced to the rest of
the market except this Korea. Just so you know, it is called Casper Electric here in Korea. If you
see different names on the outside with a badge, that is what it is. If you want to know everything
about the exterior and interior about this Insta Lounge, I already have the video of that on the
channel. Please feel free to check it out. Oh my god, it is 37 degrees Celsius today. For those of
you guys watching the video for the first time and meeting this Insta Lounge for the first time,
I know you guys are going to ask me, what's the difference? Is this car necessarily an upgrade
of the very first Insta we got? It's a yes and no. There are a few things that are exclusively
to this lounge trim such as different exterior design with a gray pinstripe on the outside,
this brand new color that Insta never got, my favorite 17-inch wheel design. It is the good old
shield type of wheels that we've been getting and seeing with the EVs to utilize the best performance
when it comes to the efficiency. However, it really suits this Insta Lounge very well,
especially more so with this mint color, don't you think? I also got that feedback on my previous
video, so I know I'm not alone. Let's get the numbers out the way it is identical with the
first Insta. Just so you know, Insta Lounge comes with 49 kilowatt hours of battery, which yields
295 kilometers of range, which is converted into 183 miles. Insta Lounge also allows the car to
charge 10% to 80% in 30 minutes. So this lounge model is more about the experience you get inside
out of the car rather than the driving part. So what you get with this lounge trim, meaning you
don't have to add include more extra options, are the front full folding seats are now standard.
I have the second row passenger seat fully folded, and I loved it ever since I drove the first
Insta. Insta is the only car that actually allows you to have this 90 degree folding passenger and
the driver's seat. So number one, you can relax in the second row seat, have your legs stretched
out, and the second row seat even now also slides and reclines, which is amazing for this Insta
because it is a full electric compact EV as we all know. So you can utilize this car to the maximum
as your mobile office or whenever you're charging or just taking a break inside the car, you can do
so with your legs completely stretched out from the second row seat. I've done it myself, not just
this time, but one before the first Insta too. I loved every moment of it, and I know you guys are
going to love it too. It doesn't matter how tall you are, everyone is going to fit inside this Insta
with the first row seat folded down. So make a good use of this. The car also does come with V2L vehicle
to load located underneath of the center console of the first row. And on top of that, the luggage
board is now included. It's no more option. Insta lounge now gets the new grill and bumper design,
full LED lighting now standard, metallic cladding and roof rack, and there are more to interior.
It comes with the two-tone color natural leather seat, which is rare in the segment, and the knit
headliner, which is softer and less utilitarian feel. There's also premium speakers that is made
of Kevlar cone shaped, making the car feel closer to being a mini lounge than a budget EV, hence the
trim name. Pricing on this car, $25,900. And of course, these numbers will vary depending on the market.
There's a lot of things to consider, such as government subsidy, credits and so forth. So make
sure you check with your local dealership. And there is another special trim Insta, if you will,
which is Insta cross. It has that rugged design and color, different cladding and the roof rack.
Of course, I have videos of that on the channel already. You can think of Insta cross to be more of
off-road going theme concept of a vehicle. I say this because, well, we know that you won't really
be taking your Insta to a true off-roading, but Insta cross focuses more on the design aspect
of it. While this Insta lounge focuses more on the comfort side. The efficiency I am reading currently
5.9 kilometers per kilowatt hour that I drove for the past 78 kilometers. And as you can see from
the outside temperature and weather outside, I've been running the air conditioning 24 seven
whenever I was inside the car and charging my shooting gear as always. So do keep that in mind.
Oh, as you can see, there is the wireless charging pad and you can see the light indicator there.
And that is the V2L that I told you about located all the way underneath here and the shelf.
Insta was actually the very first car from Hyundai Motor Group to get this shelf. Well, to be precise,
it is Casper, which is the donor car of this Insta, which is the internal combustion engine
version of this very Insta. I know it's not sold outside of Korea, but you see that car quite a lot.
I bet you probably saw it out the window throughout the test drive today.
And that is Kia Ray EV, which is also sold in Korea only. Probably one and only competition
to this Insta. I also have a video on that too. So check it out. On this tiny micro
EV car, you can see it has BVM, blind spot view monitor, which activates whenever you turn
on the turn signal. Therefore, it eliminates the blind spot, as you can see, which is something that
I always highly encourage for you to include. Because if you prevent one single accident from
that, you get your money back. Yep, the average just went up to six kilometers now. I know the
car can do so much better than that if you use this as a commuter car, grocery getter,
and mostly drive in cities, which is probably what this Insta was meant to be. Let's move on
to what I really wanted to cover in this video. The real world experience and stories directly
from the very Insta owners that I saw and you can find on the comment section. This Insta
single-handedly changed the perception and usability versatility of a micro compact EV
that we've never have seen experienced before. I am on my way to return this car and I have driven
the car for the past 250 kilometers, 6.7 kilometers per kilowatt hour. Before I wrap up the video,
there are a few things I want to mention, pros and cons of this Insta, if you will. So number one,
the speakers. I actually do feel a great improvement over the speaker, but I know it really
really depends heavily on personal preference and taste when it comes to speakers. So I'm not going
to make a huge remark on that, but however it certainly does live up to standards. And don't
forget, the Insta is the micro and tiniest electric vehicle you can get from Hyundai. And both of the
seats on the first row folding 90 degrees definitely adds to the versatility, as well as you can get
very creative with experiences that you've never gotten inside the car with other cars yet. Going
at fast speed, going together with other cars on the street, not an issue whatsoever. Cars got a
little bit of performance too. Look at the corner up ahead. If you just properly do the weight
transfer and shifts, despite that small width of tire this Insta has, it gives you the performance
you need. It delivers. Just look at this car to get into the corner. It's also really fun to drive
if you just properly drive the vehicle and knowing your limits. Fun little little car. However,
there certainly is the downside with Insta, but I think it is mostly just limited to the physical
aspects of the car being a compact EV. You probably noticed right here, there's not so
much of space for your leg, especially if you are a big size person. I'm not that big of a guy to be
honest. I am 176 centimeters tall, weight 85 kilograms, but you can see my legs are touching
rubbing against this pad right here. And there's not a dedicated footrest, if you will. I mean, I do
feel it here, but it's not as large and as of a size that I would expect a footrest to be. Let me
just quickly show it to you here. So that is the size of that thing. Maybe the trunk, the boot size
is not necessarily the size of a boot you expect a car to have. But once again, that derives from
the physical size of Insta. You just can't do anything about a small car having small everything.
But again, it will exceed your expectation. Do keep that in mind if you have not met Insta in person.
So that is it for this video. If you think I haven't gone over much of details about this car,
that's because I've many videos on the channel already. So feel free to check it out. Ever since
its launch and introduction to the micro EV category, this Insta has been on fire. The
wait on this car, I believe is approximately 15 months here in Korea, because there's only one
factory that is making this Insta here in Korea. And about 60 to 70 percent of them produced
are reserved to be export models, I believe. Every single owner that I have met and came across
said nothing but praise about this car. I don't think I've seen a single person who left a comment
to share their dissatisfaction. I mean, if you have one, drop in the comment below and be my first guest.
I have no grudge against that. I don't necessarily love this Insta, but it's just statistics and
numbers I've got thus far running the channel. So that really is it for today. I'll see you
in the next one. Bye-bye. Yep, another downside actually you just witnessed. A lot of cars would
actually cut you off because of the physical size of the car. Because there is just so much room
in your lane. So there is, I don't know, plenty of room for other cars to squeeze into your lane.
I guess I could say that you could also squeeze into others, but I don't like doing that. Because
of Insta being a small car, the range of the alert you see on the left-hand side right there, right?
The warning showing you there's a car in your blind spot. This actually feels somewhat different
from other regular sedans. Rather shorter in terms of the range and width of alerting and
notifying the vehicle in your blind spot compared to other Hyundai Motor Group cars that I have
driven. Again, there is that VVM to back you up. It's not that much of an issue, but I am
addressing it just because.
