'Backing myself really helped me get that win' - Madison Keys nervous but happy after opening round victory

It's always tough playing someone young and up and coming and they're going after their shots and it's so hard to play a first round of a Grand Slam. I'm so nervous and just wanting to do so well so really happy that I was able to kind of fight through that and get the win today. I don't think I was controlling my nerves but yeah it's just it's it's tough it's always a first match and I think at the end just kind of relying on making a lot of balls and just kind of backing myself really helped me get that win. Yes and no it's always funny to kind of see I think I'm still a teenager so looking across the net and seeing a teenager doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me but it's always such an honor to be on Arthur Ashe and to be out here all these years later is incredible.
