HOT Stone Ribs & Crispy Potatoes | Primitive Cooking in the Forest

Deep in the wild Irish landscape by a flowing forest stream, we cooked the ultimate outdoor feast through sunshine and rain.

We started by searing giant pork ribs over a natural hot river stone to lock in all the flavor. Next, we wrapped the ribs in parchment paper and foil, burying them deep beneath glowing campfire ashes to slow-bake until fall-apart tender. To finish, we brought the juicy ribs back onto the sizzling hot stone, glazing them in rich sauce alongside thin-sliced, golden crispy potatoes fried directly over open fire.
