Mesa police officers shoot, kill armed man

Police are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred last night near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road in Mesa. Officers responded to reports of a man threatening others with a firearm. After the suspect refused to surrender and was spotted with a gun, police opened fire, killing him. No officers were injured, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
