805 Mermaids catch early morning surf near Pismo Beach

I'm Lindsay Sparks and I found out about the group through my friend Sue. I know her from the beach volleyball world and she told me about the Mermaids and immediately I just told her I was coming. And so now I'm here. It's my first day. I surf a bit and I grew up boogie boarding but this is the first time I've gone out to boogie board on purpose in a while. I only know Sue but they're all just a bunch of glowing humans and so fun to be around so I don't really know their names but it's just probably the coolest social group I've ever seen. I just moved to Avila back in May and I was told about this group from Angela and my life's forever changed. It's freedom, it's joy, it's being a 10-year-old again, it's meeting other simpatico ladies and honestly it's just forever grateful for being introduced to this 805 Mermaids. This is actually a smaller group today. Sometimes there's close to 30 and I think what keeps us together is we're kind of like-minded. We just want to have fun. We want to forget about the cares in the world for an hour or two during the week and it's just really good fun. It just feels so good. It's rejuvenating and I feel like a little kid. Oh my god, I found my tribe!
