India strengthens its presence in the Indian Ocean

India has commissioned the INS Nipun, an indigenously built Nistar-class diving support vessel, to bolster its underwater warfare and rescue capabilities. As the Indian Ocean becomes increasingly contested by China and Pakistan, the INS Nipun enhances India's ability to conduct deep-sea interventions, rescue submariners, and maintain seabed surveillance to ensure maritime security.
