Elsner, Chambers, O'Cleary, King, Korver, Redding, Doss, Pierce, Allen, Lett.
10 women across 50 years of disc golf who have conquered the world championships more than once.
Now, Evelina Salonen has a chance to etch her name alongside the greatest to ever play.
Can she hang on as the skies open up over the toboggan?
It's the final day here at the 2026 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships
presented by First Form. Up to the fairway of that same hole, Handley.
Beautiful birdie on one and a bullseye birdie on two. Tap in there. Now Katrina.
The skies have opened up and she has pinned it as well. Olivia Chinstead putting on the
green of two. Got it. And I say that she's from Finland. She lives in Finland.
Chinstead, a Swedish name.
Showed off a very robust skill set with the forehand backhand putting.
Evelina, flippy destroyer up the hill.
And Evelina's distance has already propelled herself into a nine stroke lead.
It's really going to play a great factor for her to chip away distance out here in these
rainy conditions. And just a little bullet with a glideless putter straight up to the pin.
And that's a bullseye birdie. Now Rebecca Dahn. Circle two look for birdie. Give it to her.
Look at this. She is our world champion putter in 2026.
Still in the rain, all sorts of conditions. Rebecca Dahn.
Again, I love that she's kind of kept her same putt from the shallow circle two.
The only difference is her weight just falls gently forward afterwards.
There's not this giant hop. There's not this over-exaggerated step.
And same thing here with Silva. What a putt. Backed it up.
Our lead card came to play today.
Evelina from the standstill. And she's going for it.
Wow. A standstill in the rain.
And just outside the bullseye for an eagle.
Kept finding this little section right here.
We talked about it in the other two rounds out of toboggan.
She actually found the hazard. Still logged the birdie.
This time stayed clean on the drive.
She doesn't know any other style of throw.
She's keeping what's keeping her in the lead right now. Not backing off.
Now Yulia. Tier five.
She can't even drive a car, Des.
She can drive this hole. She has continually driven this hole.
Perfect. Sheer perfection.
That is going to be your sweet shot of the day.
Brought to you by Garrett J. Verburg.
Licorice & Moore. Supporters of disc golf.
What a shot.
That deserves a sweet treat right there.
It is so difficult. I found playing in the rain.
It was really difficult for me.
But then I know other people who are complete mutters.
And they can just persevere and play some of their best golf.
That is a mutter drive right there.
Right at that 250 mark.
Her second shot hits the bullseye again.
Wood chips.
Another mindless birdie.
Silva.
Did I mention Silva was going to go practice the sidearm this offseason?
I think a lot of players are seeing how good she is from the standstill.
Missy for birdie.
And that's a great putt. That is solid.
Outside the circle. Birdie putt by Missy.
We're going to go up to Katrina Allen.
On nine.
Masterful.
Collin Hanley.
This is her par look on the ninth.
Got it from 60.
She's three down in the day.
She's solo fifth place.
Evelina.
And another one. Just angles.
And the one angle is so important.
It actually appeared that she had a little slip on that tee pad.
But because she's throwing a one angle power shot,
did not affect the angle of the disc.
Not only.
She says, well, good for you, riders.
Below is an NPO.
This is mine.
Yeah. What are you talking about?
Wait for it.
This is my tournament.
Are you kidding me?
Olivia.
You can hit the Y tree.
You get a putt.
There's the Y tree.
And there's the putt.
You know what I've noticed about Chinstead?
She's truly a balanced player.
Forehand versus backhand.
Really good power from both sides.
And now up to the tee of 11.
Wow.
14 folks.
14.
And there was a time when she would.
In these positions.
Play extremely conservative.
Lay up.
Extremely short putts.
This has got to be a freeing feeling for her.
She's actually untapping a new level.
Having those extra strokes.
And playing like this is going to just help her.
Tap into something that Evelina might not even had experienced.
If she didn't have the strokes going on.
Now, Missy, a long look for birdie.
Okay.
Yes.
She had the highest rated round for world.
The world championships.
But once again, an international player of Kristen.
Got in her way in 2023.
Another one for Dawn.
Evelina in the basket.
Her fifth birdie in a row.
Eight down through 11.
Oh, with Addison.
I was on the call at the ledge stone.
When she piped hole one for the birdie.
First person to do an opening shot.
And Evelina.
The daunting 266.
Closest she's been.
She has unlocked a new level today.
On championship Sunday.
And you said 266.
How far does this actually play?
It is way up there.
Oh, it's probably like 366 tops.
Because we haven't seen anybody get to that position.
In all of the rounds out here.
And we head to the tee of 13.
And like you said, Des.
Yes, the two is there.
This is a satisfying shot for the pros to throw.
It's a fun shot for the pros to throw.
Along with the challenge.
You can also throw this turning backhand.
Dialed in.
Evelina's had a dominating performance.
And she steps up and has the best one yet.
In her last round.
Really nice shot of the pin down there.
Here's Silva.
Little standstill putter.
Fans wanted it.
Easy birdie.
Look ahead.
Haulin' up the hill on 14.
And pin high.
Haulin' a little bit obstructed here.
Straddle putt.
Birdie.
And that's going to happen.
She will get to 20.
Finally.
Just a really strong shot up the hill there.
She was a multi-sport athlete in school.
She just graduated.
She played soccer, volleyball, track and field.
The bug sticks with you and never leaves you.
So I'm glad she played those sports.
But I think she's having a little bit of success in this game.
That is the beauty.
We talk about it a lot.
Disc golf is a lifetime sport.
It's a lifetime activity.
Welcome back to the Evelina Salonen show.
Here she is on the tee of 15.
She's working on eight birdies in a row.
And a 17-shot lead over second place.
Crushed one around the corner.
Have not seen a disc get that far around the corner on the par 5.
Sarnin.
I wanted to say it was a perfect read in the air.
But you never can really like tell.
But yeah, you can tell.
Missy.
Yeah.
Just incredible to see.
Here's Evelina trying to work on nine birdies in a row.
And there's a chance.
Why not?
So smooth.
Never even a doubt.
Welcome back.
There are three holes remaining here on Championship Sunday.
And how dominant can Evelina finish this tournament off?
Well, there's another chance for a birdie to go 10 in a row
and set the new course record.
Missy.
Hands another outside the circle.
She's now firmly in second place.
That's going to be your barbershop close shave replay.
I mean, you could say she just went over the rim there.
But that was hard on the bottom pole.
Evelina, why not make it 10 in a row?
Do it, Evelina.
Why not?
And then beat it with this putt here.
Run them out.
She keeps playing like this.
Disc golf is in trouble.
Well, Evelina, a young 26, going to celebrate her 27th birthday in three, four days.
What a way to celebrate.
Did not get the eagle on 17.
And Rebecca Don, that is her third shot.
She's putting for birdie.
She's holding on to that podium spot.
The rain is coming down.
Missy up the hill.
Her third shot.
It is a familiar but also unfamiliar finish for Missy.
Can't even call this a battle.
This is a massacre from Solanen.
And Evelina driver up the hill way up there.
She's done it.
She's now the 11th woman ever to win a second world championship.
Presenting sponsor.
First form.
Your 2026 PGA professional disc golf world champion and two time world champion.
Evelina Salonen.
14 under par.
She is truly a one of one.
And now a two time world champion.
She's with Nate Perkins on the green.
Take it away, Nate.
Evelina, two years ago, you became the first person from Finland to win a world
title.
And now today, after one of the most dominant performances of all time,
you are bringing a second title back home to Suomi.
How proud are you of this accomplishment?
Yeah, of course.
So proud.
And yeah, just happy.
And it was so stressful week.
So I'm happy that now it's over.
You had nine strokes going into this final round.
And yet you played aggressive.
You played with such intensity and such focus.
Guys, Evelina just shot the highest rated world of all time.
Give it up.
How did you do it?
How were you able to stay so hungry out there and shoot a 14 under par?
Yeah, I don't know what happened today.
But I was so scared to like, I woke up three hours before my alarm.
And I was like, they're going to play so well today.
So I have to focus.
And it's not over before last hole.
So I was so focused.
And I just wanted this so bad.
There was a time when you could not hide from the criticism that people chose to throw at you.
And yet you persevered.
How were you able to persevere?
And what do you have to say to all the people that lost faith in you?
Yeah, it has been a long way from those.
And it's like sometimes still in my head.
And like how I played last year's Worlds, like it was disaster.
So I think like, I have to thank all my family and friends who have been believing me.
Because there have been times like when I wanted to give up.
But they have been pushing me.
And yeah.
All right, guys.
One more time with one of the most dominant performances of all time.
Evelina Solanen is your two time champion.
All the years of doubt, all the years of wanting to give up.
All gone.
One of the greatest modern players that we have ever seen.
Hi, I'm Evelina Solanen.
