This video showcases a series of blind auditions from *The Voice*, featuring a diverse array of talents ranging from soulful ballads and high-energy pop to poignant rap. The contestants share personal stories of resilience and triumph, earning high praise and competitive offers from coaches Richard, Ronan, Kate, and Melanie C as they vie to build their teams.
This is why it's great that I get to watch the performances.
And I need her.
And when the sun gets down.
And nobody else's around.
Then it's sad inside.
My baby, just leave me.
I'm just tired.
Talking about I need you.
I need you in the morning.
I need you in the evening.
Oh, I have to get somebody
Everybody needs somebody to sing
And I need you, you, you
In the morning, baby
When the sun goes down
All right.
Wow.
Congratulations.
Welcome to The Voice.
You've got a four-chair turn.
Well done.
Thank you, thank you.
I appreciate that.
Oh, my God, that was just what I needed to hear
and didn't even know it.
That was, what an amazing burst of energy.
What's your name?
What's your story?
I'm Cherry Green.
I'm from Ipswich, and I'm 24.
Cool.
So, Ipswich.
Yeah, Ipswich, yeah.
I'm a brizzy girl, so that's right down the road.
Oh, yeah, I see that.
Yeah, come here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think you absolutely nailed that.
It was a really interesting vocal,
and I think not a perfect vocal,
but you've got your own thing.
You were not trying to imitate anyone else.
You've got your own style,
and I think that's what I really responded to.
You were just living and breathing that song and that energy.
I don't have anyone remotely like you on my team,
so you would stand alone in your category.
I think we would have so much fun together.
Please join Team Kate.
I appreciate that.
I have to tell you, something took me over in that performance.
I actually don't remember pressing the buzzer.
I don't remember making the choices.
It's like they were happening for me,
and then I turned around,
and then I realized I was standing up.
I don't know what it was.
There's something about you, your energy,
that really compels me to want to be involved.
I just think that joy that you brought to me in that moment
was so infectious.
That's something really, really magical.
I don't just want a voice like yours on my team.
I need it.
I appreciate that.
That was nice.
Thank you so much.
You know what?
I love that you take risks.
You know, a very, very different look visually
with the clothes that you're wearing.
I always dress differently, and I got singled out for it.
Not always in a positive way.
You look at Harry Styles.
You know, Harry's brave.
He takes risks.
David Bowie was brave.
He took risks.
Set themselves apart from everyone else.
You've got that same vibe about you.
I love that.
I think you're a Goldust, man.
You're cool.
You're really cool.
I appreciate that.
That's real.
I appreciate that.
Yeah.
It's obvious that I would love to have you on Team Ronan,
Cherry, so come on over here.
Thank you, man.
Thank you so much.
Cherry, first 30 seconds, I was like,
oh, this might be an older guy,
because there was something so seasoned in your delivery
and there was a rawness that sounded like experience to me.
At your age, you already have this gift in your voice,
and I've been lucky enough to work with some of the greatest
singers who've ever lived.
Really?
Like who?
Anyone in particular?
Anyone?
I mean, Luther Vandross.
I mean, where's the jar?
Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand.
Thank you very much.
Luther Vandross.
Thank you.
Okay.
I don't even need to test you.
I know you can sing anything, and it's going to be compelling,
and that's the word, compelling.
You are a compelling performer.
You're a compelling artist, and I need you on my team.
I would love to work with you.
Okay, Cherry.
It's all yours.
Damn, I was just kind of happy for someone to turn a chair.
I don't know how to pick.
I'm off to go with Richard.
What a pleasure.
What an honor.
Thank you, man.
You're so good.
I can't wait for us to work together.
Cherry, Cherry, Cherry.
I used to dream times like this when having doubts,
thinking I should start again and go a safer route.
With the chance I took, we had to make it count.
If it's not sports where I'm from, you don't make it out.
And that's the reason why the young's stuck in the trap.
Reason why I lost my cousin and he ain't coming back.
He's so good.
Changed my life with the art of rap.
I'm the one that's going to bridge the gap.
Build it up from the ground like construction.
Through a disruption, from nothing.
Sacrificing, working on reductions.
Now we making moves, they all making assumptions.
Yeah, I've come a long way.
Pushing through that cold weather, made it through the storm.
I took a risk, now we all gain.
I'm shooting shots and hitting targets at long range.
I used to dream of times like this when I was in the rain.
Said I've come a long way.
Stuck in the dark brown, so I had to switch lanes.
Said I've come a long way.
Ever since from the start, I still remain the same.
Said I've come a long way.
Yeah, all my life, it was goodbye.
Yeah, all my life, work hard, sacrifice.
Yeah, all my life.
Yeah, all my life, hard sacrifice.
Yeah, all my life.
So good.
Thank you so much.
That was so good.
I love that.
The energy you just brought.
The whole room just erupted.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
What's your name?
Where are you from?
Tell me everything.
So I'll go by the name of Young Miller.
I'm from Darwin and I'm 22 years old.
Young Miller, welcome to The Voice, man.
Thank you.
Tell us about yourself and how you got to the stage.
Yeah, well, just like every place.
There's good.
There's bad.
There's dark.
There's rainbows.
And I just happened to grow up in the darker side of things.
And coming out of that, I've been a support worker, a mentor.
And I'm just speaking through my music now and helping them all back home.
This is why I'm on this stage here.
This isn't about me.
This is about my family, my people back home to show hope that they can do it too.
Yes.
The lyrics feel very poignant.
Did you write this track?
I don't think I've heard this track before.
This is my brother's song and he's standing there in the white shirt, man.
Come on.
Nice.
Your brother wrote this song?
My brother wrote this song.
And are you a performer as well?
Yeah, yes.
Do you need some company up there?
Let's get it.
Let's get it, boy.
Let's get it.
Let's get it, let's get it.
I feel like I shouldn't even be up here, bro.
But no, straight up, just like Young Miller said, these lyrics not only resonate to us,
but this is therapeutic for everybody going down the same cycle.
We do what we do to get them out of that.
And we stay humble because it always resonates.
We resonate with everyone in this trap and we're making those changes.
Yes.
Let's go again.
Come on, let's hear it again.
I can't even think straight.
Come on, come on, come on.
This is my favourite moment on the show so far.
Alright, let's run it.
Yes.
This is world class.
When I come to your concert, like, rap is something we see on the voice a little bit.
We don't see it enough and we don't see it at this level ever.
Well, brother.
This is so unique, so brilliant.
A lot of guys will go and girls will go, no, I'm not going on the voice stage.
It's not who I am.
It's not what I'm about.
But it's about your voice on the voice and you're using it, man.
And I got changed just like you.
Come on, come on, come on.
Got it.
You got to come over here to Team Ronan.
I get you.
I know who you are.
Come on.
Let's go.
I need you on my team.
Thank you, Young Miller.
Thank you.
Dude.
Let me say this.
We're all going to remember where we were when we first heard Young Miller.
We're all going to remember.
You know, I'm from Chicago, Illinois, in the States.
And I'll never forget the first time I heard Kanye's voice
and the first time I heard Eminem's voice.
It transcended the genre.
It transcended rap.
It was like it's the sound of that voice.
And you have that kind of voice.
Oh, thank you so much.
I want to hear more songs your brother wrote.
Yes, sir.
We can make that happen.
Because you guys, you guys, this moment is the beginning of a magnificent career.
That's good, I thought.
Thank you so much.
Congratulations.
We talk a lot about wanting to believe the singers that come onto this stage.
I haven't believed anyone as much as I believed that performance.
Yeah, yeah.
Amen.
I love how feisty that was, how political that was.
I mean, the word I'm thinking of is deadly.
It was deadly.
I know that there is a scene in Australia already.
You know, we have Briggs and AB Original, Baker Boy.
You're next.
Young Miller's next.
Thank you so much.
Just to share my story on this stage is a blessing in its own.
Yeah, come on.
All right.
So, Young Miller, I have so much respect for my coaches.
And they have so much to give.
But I absolutely have to have you.
I don't want any threats.
I'm going to do this to start with.
Me?
I'm so flattered.
It's savage, but I ain't taking the chance.
Wow.
Okay.
And then, before you make your decision,
one more little trick up my sleeve.
And this is just to prove how much I want you.
I don't wear any jewelry.
I don't have any glitter.
I do.
But I do have this.
This is unbelievable.
On that trip, Milsy.
Hey.
All right, we've got to go Milsy all the way.
For all those times you stood for me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
Around you
I'll be forever thankful, baby
You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
Light in the dark
Shining your love into my life
You really shone
Through the lies
You were the truth
There's no better place
Than having you
Lifting me up
Because you loved me
Tell me your story.
Where are you from?
Hello, my name is Jeremy Heitman.
I'm 26.
I live in Mount Barker, South Australia.
But I'm originally from the Philippines.
You are a little pocket rocket.
You're just this tiny little package
in this massive voice.
You were feeling it every moment.
I felt like you were delivering that song to your family.
Is that what you were thinking about?
I'm singing that, yes, for my family.
But especially for my dad,
who flew from the Philippines days ago
to come here.
I don't know if you know this,
but that song was written by Diane Warren
for her father.
It's not a love song.
I mean, it's a love song,
but it's not a romantic love song.
Diane wrote that about her dad
who had just passed away,
and it was a tribute to her father,
so it makes total sense.
And it's beautiful that your dad's here today
to witness this.
Celine Dion is a tough call,
but I was blown away by that.
I have a feeling that you would have
a really natural home on Team Kate.
You have a magnificent instrument.
That belt was extraordinary.
So high, and then flipping up,
and it was crystalline.
It was pure.
I would love to work with you.
Please join Team Kate.
You can't go wrong.
Oh, Jeremiah, what an amazing performance.
It really brought tears to my eyes.
There was so much love and emotion.
You were just, like, sending the way,
but we could all feel it.
Before you started, like, your little one,
probably your youngest,
was kind of, you know, chattering away.
And for you to keep your composure in that moment,
again, you know, being a mum who's a performer,
so to have had the discipline to stay composed
in that moment, I mean, you know,
hands up for you.
That was brilliant.
Thank you, Melanie.
I would love to find out what we could do together.
Such an honour.
Taking on Celine, it's kind of a no-no.
Just don't do it, we say.
But you smashed it.
And there were some just moments of pure brilliance.
Now, I've got a lot of female vocalists on my team,
and I kind of told myself
I wasn't going to turn for another female vocalist.
But I had to turn.
I had to turn for you.
You're that good.
The right place for you is here on Team Ronan.
Come on over.
Come on.
I don't know if you know this,
but I've gotten to work with Celine Dion.
Where's your name dropped, y'all?
When I won the Grammy 2004, I guess,
it was for Song of the Year,
and it was for a song called Dance With My Father.
And I wrote it with Luther Vandross,
who had had a stroke.
Two, two, two.
Celine Luther.
Oh, it was a big one.
Thank you.
And Luther Vandross had just had the stroke
that ultimately took him from us.
And so I got a call saying,
Celine Dion would really love to sing that song at the Grammys.
Would you play piano for her?
So Celine and I did that song together.
I think I'm your guy,
because I want to be your coach
on the stages you're going to be singing on
two years from now, three years from now.
But first, let's win The Voice,
and we can do it together.
Thank you.
Thank you, Richard.
It's up to you.
You got four coaches.
We compete with that.
This is where it gets stressful.
I feel so honored.
I have just been dreaming for this moment of my life,
and I can't believe that all of you four have turned.
And I know that all of you have a lot to contribute to me.
You are all amazing.
But I'm going to choose Richard.
Yes!
Of course you are.
You're so hot.
You're so awesome.
Oh, this is a hard song.
She's giving natural performance.
Very strong voice.
Yes, so good.
I get it.
What is your name?
Tell me your story.
Where are you from?
My name is Renee Nakari.
I'm 24 years old.
I'm a Pilates instructor,
and I'm from Doreen, Victoria.
Wow.
Renee, welcome to The Voice.
Thank you.
You are in.
Give us the backstory of your musical journey.
Growing up with music my whole life,
and then a few years ago,
unfortunately, I had to get vocal surgery,
which was really terrifying.
Did you get nodes on your vocal cords?
Yeah, I got vocal nodules.
They had to operate on both vocal cords,
and I was absolutely terrified
that I'd never be able to sing.
And then I relearned how to sing,
and now I cannot believe
that I'm here after all of that.
I feel a little bit foolish
not turning around for you,
because you're just right up my street.
You sound like a pop star,
you look like a pop star,
but it's strategic for me.
This year, we only get eight spots on our teams,
and I've got two pop girls,
but I thought the performance was brilliant.
It's incredible that you've come back.
It sounds like even stronger than you were before, so...
Thank you so much.
Congratulations on that.
One of the things that I now clearly can see about you,
but that I sensed during the performance
was a sense of confidence.
You're a diva, clearly.
A superstar.
Thank you.
I've worked with, like, the divas of the divas,
and I believe that with my experience and my ears,
I can help you sound even more like a superstar.
I'm definitely the guy to get you there.
So come to Team Richard.
I like her so much, actually.
I really like her.
When it comes to being a pop star,
I've been doing it for a while,
so I kind of get it.
Is Gaga kind of who you look up to the most?
Is that...
Oh, 100%.
Since I was a kid, it was Gaga, Gaga, Gaga.
Gaga for Gaga.
I love what you did.
You didn't mimic her,
but I can see that you're channelling her.
And I see what you've got.
There's lots of great voices out there,
but you are creatively courageous.
It gives you an edge.
It's what you do with that edge.
And you come to Team Ronan,
and I will show you what to do with that edge.
Come on, then.
See, the interesting thing about Lady Gaga
is that she's pop, but she's also music theatre.
She's also drama.
Drama, yeah.
And that's very much my background.
Drama.
You're always creating drama here.
All the time.
I would absolutely love to, like,
dial up those theatrical elements in your performance
and take that to the next level.
Yeah.
So, please, come to me.
It's not easy being a coach.
And when it comes to pitching,
you've really got to go all out.
You've got to think outside the box.
And I've asked some friends to help out on this one.
So, when you're ready.
They spelled it wrong.
Here you go.
See?
Vote for Team Ronan.
He likes to write his name on things.
I want to point out, I want to point out
that he coached them to do that.
And they did it wrong.
You have to choose now.
You guys are all amazing.
But...
I have to go with Ronan because pop song.
Yes!
Thank you so much.
Thank you, family.
Yes!
Thank you.
Well done.
Step there.
See ya.
Looks like we're making up for lost time
Would you just spell it out for me
I'm bossing over on all night
It's like a type of alchemy
Introduce me to your best friend
I love it.
I love his voice.
Nice tone.
Really good tone.
Your satellite ain't even that far
I kinda wonder where you are already
No, I can't leave it alone
You're on my mind
Already gave you the time and the place
Don't be shy
Just come be the man I need
Tell me you got something to give out
I kinda like it when you call me wonderful
Whatever the type of talk it is
Come on then
I gotta know you're meant to
Be the man I need
Oh
Talk to me
Oh, talk to me
But you know I can't leave it alone
You're on my mind
Hello.
Wow.
Hey.
I loved that.
That was just so charming and you were absolutely adorable.
Thank you very much.
Look at that smile.
What's your name?
My name's Fox Stapleton.
I'm 18 and I'm from Bondi, Sydney.
You're from Bondi.
You've got such a beautiful natural voice, you know.
There was nothing affected or over the top about that.
Honestly, I just thought it was really charming
and I'd love to hear you sing more.
My artist actually won The Voice last year.
I know, I know.
Really?
I wasn't aware.
And I'd love to take you there with me.
I'd love to go on a journey with you.
Thank you.
Hey Fox, I'm Richard.
Hello.
There was something so conversational about that performance
and that's something you can't teach.
I have a lot of experience as a producer
and as a songwriter for other people
where I could give you...
I'm not name dropping yet.
I was going to say, like who?
Not yet.
But if I did, you wouldn't believe it.
You're exactly the kind of voice that I would love to work with
and help you with the parts of your voice as a singer
that could be stronger.
Knowing that the one thing you don't need help with
is being truthful and honest in the way you sing.
Yes, Kate won last year.
If I hear that one more freaking time...
But guess what?
This is anybody's game.
So I've come to Team Richard and let's go.
Thank you very much.
So Fox, it was a lovely performance.
I did really, really enjoy it.
But for some reason, I just couldn't make that 10.
But I did really enjoy it.
I love your tone.
And I know one of these guys,
whoever you decide, they're going to do great things with you.
Thank you very much.
Hey, Fox.
You've got a great look, man.
You've got an awesome tone.
Thank you.
I'm sorry I didn't turn.
You've got two incredible coaches down there that have turned for you.
The choice is yours.
What do you want to do?
Thank you both very much for turning around.
It's an absolute privilege to even be here
and be singing in front of all of you.
I watched Kate in Rabbids.
What?
Back when I was really, really young.
So I'm going to have to go with Kate.
Oh, my God.
I'll be right here when your world starts to fall.
It's all right.
Your tears will dry.
You'll soon be free to fly.
Wow.
Of a place where nothing's harder than it seems.
And there's no smoke in sight.
Like you're all desperate.
Just trust the voice within.
The teams are getting fuller.
Otherwise, I reckon that would have been a four chair turn.
Well, welcome to The Voice.
What's your name?
My name is Cleo.
I'm 26 and I'm from Annandale, Sydney.
Hi, Cleo.
All right, so tell us your story.
Why are you here?
What brought you here?
I'm here because I think it's time to sing in front of people.
I've never done this before in my life.
This is absolutely crazy for me.
So out of my comfort zone, I am a doggy daycare attendant.
This is not what I do.
I sing to little puppies all day.
And, you know, they don't say anything to me.
So I'm going, I must be doing all right.
I'm just really excited.
Well, let me tell you that my not turning for you is no reflection on your talent.
You have a beautiful voice.
We only get eight singers on our team this year.
I'm just looking for a very specific kind of thing.
But you clearly have three amazing but difficult options.
I don't mean you have a difficult choice.
You have difficult options.
They're very difficult people.
But congratulations and well done.
Thank you so much, Richard.
Oh, I would love to work with Cleo, but I'm glad she's going through.
She deserves it.
Look, that was such a beautiful musical performance.
You're a really naturally gifted singer.
Thank you.
If you were to join Team Kate, and I'd love you to,
I actually won The Voice last year with my artistry.
I have experience in taking an artist and shepherding them through this process
all the way through to the end.
And I see something really, really special in you.
Join Team Kate.
Okay, let me check this list off.
Likes dogs.
Yeah.
Good.
Looks like a star.
Yeah.
Good.
That.
Yeah.
Sounds like a star.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Got tattoos.
Yeah.
I mean, it's all good.
We're honored to have you.
Thank you.
Honestly, we're very lucky.
You should be very proud of yourself.
I'm in shock.
Honestly, just walking out on that stage,
every time we stand up, it's adrenaline.
Puts you on edge.
It's what you do with that edge.
And you come to Team Ronan, and I will show you what to do with that edge.
All right.
That was such a beautiful performance.
Was it Christina Aguilera?
That's the one.
It's an oldie, but a goldie.
It is.
It's a beautiful song.
You've got another artist, another vocalist,
who is very brave to take on.
But I feel like you really made it your own.
Thank you.
Yeah.
And of course, you've got all the trills and all the gymnastics.
And that's incredible.
And it will be really interesting to see what else you can do.
Yeah, for sure.
I'm a dog mummy.
You're a dog mum?
Yeah.
I'm obsessed with dogs.
So we can totally connect on that.
The obsession, I understand.
Yeah.
Yes.
So I think you need to be in Team Melanie C.
I mean.
We have a lot in common.
Gosh, so many decisions.
Come on, Cleo.
Let's go.
Come on.
For all of you, I really do.
And I'm so grateful for this.
And I can't wait to speak to you outside of this
and get to know you guys.
I'm so excited.
But I think I'll go with Melanie.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so, so much.
Yes, go Mel.
Wonderful.
Thank you.
Oh, I'm so excited to see you.
Oh, I'm so excited to get to know you.
Of course.
Oh, someone needs to turn for this guy.
Oh, my God.
Oh, come on.
I'm so happy.
I'm so happy you got chairs turned.
Hey, man.
G'day.
How are you, dude?
Good, thank you.
How are you?
What's your name?
Where are you from?
I'm Finlay.
My name's Finlay Webb.
I'm from...
I'm 23, and I'm from Bathurst.
Bathurst, New South Wales, yeah.
Welcome to The Voice 2026, man.
Thank you, man.
Thank you so much.
Talk to me.
Tell me about your story.
That song kind of resonates with me a lot.
When I was younger, just before I was born,
I was diagnosed with a horrible heart condition.
So I've had three open-heart surgeries.
I was three days old during my first one.
And then my last one was just before I turned six.
So you really are a survivor.
I believe so, yeah.
Thank you.
Wow.
Is that your mom?
Is that your mom there?
That's my mom right there.
And my brothers and sister.
Hey, Mom.
Wow.
He's put you through it, hasn't he?
You have no idea.
I'm sorry.
You know, as a parent myself,
I can only imagine the stress that that put on your mom.
But to see your boy up here now,
on The Voice, you're on, you're in.
Wow.
Holy moly.
I mean, the song says it all, right?
You have a beautiful tone in your voice,
and you have emotion.
Your vulnerability is your superpower.
Thank you.
There was just two different parts going on.
There was the guitar, the music in the background,
and then there was this vocal on top of it.
And they were moving at two different universes altogether.
You need to stop singing the song,
and you need to start performing the song.
This is what I do.
This is what I do best.
And I do believe I am the right coach.
So you come to Team Ronan, please.
Thank you so much, Ronan.
Come on over here.
I disagree with Ronan only in that
the reason I turned for you was
because I'm attracted to honesty.
You were so in it that I was so intrigued.
You'd be in good hands with either of us, but...
But me more so.
It's crazy he just said that.
Thanks, Richard.
I'll leave it at that.
Finlay.
Hey, Finlay.
Hello.
Lovely to meet you and to hear you sing.
The reason I didn't turn.
We're getting to that point.
We've got lots of people in our team.
We're being really picky.
But I'm so happy that you're still here
because hearing about your personal journey
and being a mum, oh, my gosh.
This is just to prove to everybody, you know,
you have to fight for your dreams.
You have to go out there and do it
because you never know
what life's going to throw at you, right?
You fought to survive, you know,
and here you are living your dreams
and I have so much respect for you.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, well done.
The floor is yours.
You've got two coaches.
Up to you, Finlay.
Oh, man.
Come on.
I had no idea that any of you were going to turn.
So this is...
Go with your heart, that one.
OK, I think I'm going to go with Ronan.
Yeah!
Thank you so much.
Welcome to Team Ronan.
Oh, thanks, man.
