WEEK IN MY LIFE (45 mins) 🏡 getting back into my routine & NEW OFFICE TOUR!

Good morning, y'all. Happy Monday. This is going to be such a good week. It's currently like 6 a.m., maybe like 6.20, 6.30. I just woke up. We're gonna stitch. I wish we could stitch by the fire. And we just got back from Nantucket on Saturday night. I just rotted yesterday because I'm so tired. And then we are back to it today. I'm actually really excited because this week I don't have that much going on. So I'm hoping I can get a ton of house stuff, house projects, you know, trigger warning, God forbid, plan for fall. I already have planned some. My decor made some orders yesterday. The holidays are coming. It's all coming together. Now that I've left Nantucket, I have to go. I'm not doing 105 days anymore. I'm done, I'm done. And whether or not it is 105 outside, none of my business. It won't be in this house, okay? I already, guys, look at this. You guys are gonna die, actually. I went through all my Martha Stewart Living fall and winter stuff. And I was marking it. I need to do the rest of it today. I just started to look. So I'll be looking this week. I really wanna pull a lot of inspo from here. It's just so fun. And obviously, like, it gets you off your phone. But I'm excited. Anyway, time to go to the needlepoint chair. I've been working on this project. I only started this a week ago and I've actually gotten so much done because I've been doing a lot of decorative stitches. On Nantucket, I spent so much time working on this. And she's everything to me. She's everything, love her. Back in my little grandma corner. I did not feel like coming home at all. Nantucket is the only place. Wait, where did I have my coffee? Over there, ****. Like I was saying, I did not feel like coming home at all. Nantucket is the only place in the world that I never wanna come home from. Everywhere else, I'm like, all right, I love my house more than anything. My favorite places in the world go Nantucket and then my house, you know? But we had the best time. I'm just like, last year on the trip, I had just met Charlie and I wasn't ready to come home and that's how you know I was in love. Got some stitching done. I need to get ready for my workout. Oh my gosh, ow. This brush, it's from, I don't know how to pronounce that brand, it is a little bit painful but I feel like it's one of those brushes that's like drags the oil down from the top of your head to the bottom so your hair doesn't get as greasy, you know what I mean? Like the bristles are definitely tough. Like it definitely isn't, it's painful sometimes. Okay, I actually, I'm still like in the midst of the final of unpacking. I pretty much am done here. I have what I'm wearing for my workout. Last night, I went through and I planned some outfits for the week which is just the best thing to always have outfits ready to go in here because then I don't have to think about it and then I actually wear cute outfits versus like bad ones because I'm being lazy which would be, you know, most of the time. I'm going to shower at the gym because I have a finance meeting after and I'm gonna be in a bit of a rush. So, I'm just packing up my stuff. I haven't had this perfume in a couple of weeks. This Fleur stuff, it looks like I'm not wearing pants. I swear that I am, okay. Wow, we're at the point in Texas where it's so hot that every day, I'm like I need the biggest t-shirt that is not touching my body. I need to pull my hair back and then we're good, I think. All right, guys, I'm making dinner now. We've been craving this lemon chicken bake dish that I've been making. It is so good. My current favorite dinner, well, first off, my current favorite cookbook, I think I talked about this with you guys but I got it for Charlie because he loves Mediterranean food and it's like high protein, healthy and like very Charlie, whatever. But I'm here to tell you, it is one of the best cookbooks I've ever used. Every single thing that we have made from this is just unbelievable. It's so good. So two of my favorite things, the one dish lemony chicken bake. It's a very simple lemony chicken bake. I actually might switch a couple things this time just to see. Another thing I really, really love, let me show you guys. I was just saying to Charlie, I have to stop waking up and drinking coffee first thing and also the amount of coffee I drink, I know, is really bad. But I just feel like throughout the day, my brain fog is so bad. I'm just tired. I just, I'm unwell. Okay. Oh wait, this is, wait, no. But the roasted eggplant looks really good. It's a different eggplant dish. I'm gonna find it for you guys because it's so good. I made it for some friends when they came over and they were like, this is amazing. And then I made it for my mom and my aunt. This is so good. It's ricotta stuffed eggplant rolls. Don't sleep on these. I love ricotta. I love ricotta too. But I love eggplant. It's unreal. We have squash. They were out of eggplant. So this is what I'm thinking tonight. I'm not like that excited for it because I was really craving the eggplant. But it'll be good. Roasted acorn squash. I just really don't feel like making that right now. It looks like really easy though. So. We've done it before. Oh ----, you're gonna talk to me. This is how real I am, guys. You can't even tell that I'm filming, you know? So I made like the marinade or whatever you might call it. It's a bunch of mustard, dill, freshly squeezed lemon, shallots, Dijon mustard. And then I need to actually put like the sausage chicken and do all that stuff. But it's so good. I also got, which I'm really excited for, two, actually three new, four new books. First thing, Erica Wilson's Stitching because we just did our pop-up there and I was really like, I'm excited to like actually read this. And then I have this on board because I'm prepping for hosting during football season and I figured this would be good inspo for boards for games. I got this salt, fat, acid, heat book, which is just like a must for cooking. And I feel like I needed to have gone through this like years ago. It has basically everything you could ever possibly need and just like basics and all the things. And it actually like matches my outfit really well today. And then last but not least, I finally got Martha Stewart's Organizing. I really wanted to get this book because it has a calendar in it. I'll have all this linked for you guys. But it has a calendar in it for like everything you should be doing in your house every single month, which is so nice. And it's kind of just like a house manual in a way similar to the Martha way or the Martha's manual in ways. But I really like this. It's all obviously just about organizing, but it's like organizing every aspect of your life. So I'm excited for these to do a little nice deep dive. Good morning. It's the best part of my day when I wake up and I need a point. I don't know if I showed you guys my progress yesterday, but I finished like the trees, but it kind of looks like Boom Chigga Boom Boom or whatever Pow Wow, whatever that book is. So I don't love that I might end up covering the bark. Like if I would've just done it here, it's fine, and covered it, maybe I'll just do that and get rid of that and just keep it on the bottom and then add more green here. Because I don't like it when the bark goes up because do you see what I mean right there? I might just cover that a little bit. I finished like the house over here. I need to just go through. I don't know what I'm gonna do because like for the hydrangeas, I would like need to do French knots to make them like look like flowers. But are they gonna look so off center doing all these French knots down here? Like is that gonna look insane? But then I'm like, look, I could also, if I wanted to balance it, I could add hydrangeas here so there'd be a little something here. Or of course I could basket weave it. But I'm just thinking like from a decorative stitch perspective, maybe I'll just switch some things up. But love this. I've decided that I'm gonna learn how to finish my own pillows. My grandma, who's actually coming over today, she finishes all my pillows and I'm very, very, very, very lucky because it is such a hard thing to do. Not only is it hard, but it's also very expensive and the wait times are like kind of unreal. And up until this point, she has finished all my pillows for me. She was a professional seamstress like her entire life. My mom and my grandma had a drapery company and then a bedding company together and she was a seamstress. So very lucky because she's quite literally a professional at what she does. It's not like I just have a grandma who's a hobbyist doing this. She is a professional. With that being said, my sister Alexis and I were talking and she's like, we really just need to learn this from her. We need to. We are taking it for granted and I've done quilts and stuff with her. I have a sewing machine, but I didn't get hooked like I did with Needlepoint and I really just wanna go into it and like at least know how to finish pillows because if I could finish a project and have the pillow finished within a week, like that is a life skill I'll use for the rest of my life. So anyway, next month we are gonna go over to her house and her sewing room and learn, but I need to have a like canvas ready to finish and like I don't know if it'll be possible for me to do that one. I also have another one that I could just do and make it easier. I don't know, I haven't like figured it out exactly. Also, the garden's looking good. We need to plan the fall garden this week. Just decide on some things that we want to do. Also, we need to go to the farmer's market on Saturday and pick up some plants, but I feel like actually while we're at it, I went to bed at like nine last night, I think. I have been down a documentary rabbit hole. I was gonna say like you have never seen before. I do this every couple of months, but even like when we were on Antec and guys, I was like, why am I in such a weird mood like the second week? And I was like, I can't get out of this weird mood. I was like, well, yeah, maybe because you spent the whole week watching like true crime documentaries. Like I watched like five. Like it was just out of control. I also don't really watch things. So I think because we were on a trip, I was like watching stuff and oh my gosh, but like I just, I've been watching, I've been like back down like 9-11 stuff, like which obviously 9-11 isn't like true crime. That's just like a historical like documentary and stuff, but I'm watching a lot of the survivors and their stories. And of course, like, it was just like horrific. I did watch one of a man, I forget. I would, they would just like pop up on my YouTube, but he was like an ex-firefighter and he actually was like flying out to Toronto that day. And then his flight got canceled, obviously, because everything was grounded. And then he comes back and the next day he just like shows up at the firehouse and he couldn't get ahold of any of his friends. And then he ends up like volunteering and doing all this stuff. And he was just telling like stories that were like beautiful, like unifying stories. But anyway, I think I'm gonna need to like throw my hat in a little bit or give up the ducks for a second. Cause like, I do think it's a little bit out of control. Oh my God, guys. Just realized we have the perfect little setup here. I wonder what the difference is of like, well, oh, let's keep that thing on. Okay, so I'm also gonna listen to my audio book. I started the Calamity Club. I don't know if I've talked about that with you guys yet, but my God, this is seriously, I'm a grandma. If my face looks like a grandma, like grandma. Okay, first off, I think I'm like 8% of the way through that book. And I think it is like the best written book ever. I already know it's gonna be my top like five of all time. I just feel very strongly about that. But I'm trying to get through this audio book because I was kind of getting confused between the two before I like really dive into that. But anyway, I'm listening to the Martha's Vineyard Beach and Book Club. I only have four hours left. It's very good. It's like historical fiction on Martha's Vineyard. It's now time to get ready. I perfectly cleaned hair and I put all this oil in it yesterday. Why I did that, no idea. Okay, I think that this is what I'm gonna wear today. I got these new jeans from Mother. I've wanted them for so long and my friend Alexa had them. And they restocked when we were on Nantucket and she's like, Kenzie, those jeans you want are back. And I'm like, oh my God, Mother denim guys, it is so good. I only have, I got two other pairs from them. Like one's like a high-waisted that you'd wear with a heel. So I don't wear them as much. But whenever I do, they are the most flattering jeans I've ever worn. And these are just, oh my God, they were an investment. And the fact that they were out of stock for so long and I still wanted them. I finally was like, okay, I'm going to buy them because for so long I was like, no, no, no, no, no. And like, look, I live in Texas. I literally go to rodeos. Like I live for Fort Worth. Like these jeans just had to be mine. They are so cute. So we're gonna put a little outfit together. Okay, I just got ready very quickly. And here is what I'm wearing. This is our tank top guys. There's nothing like these are tank tops. I also feel like these are so high-waisted and I just like don't feel high. I don't really wear super high-waisted stuff anymore. But they're really flattering, especially if I had a boot on, like they're perfect. But it's August, so I cannot wear boots in jeans. I will die. These flats, I think they're so fun from Madewell. I got them on pre-order and I waited forever for them and so worth it. They're like the perfect shade for the jeans. Anyway, just love these little long chomp bag. Need to pack up like my office bag. I've actually been using something that I can't share yet. It's not an office bag, but I've been using it for like everything. So I'll grab that. But anyway, this is my outfit. Just got back from a meeting with my CPA and I'm setting up a bunch of needlepoint projects just to go through because I need to do some fabric shopping. I need to make some finishing decisions and everything's just looking fabulous. So let me show you guys. I'm gonna have Charlie film this so that I can give you guys a good visual. Okay, well first up from 4th of July weekend, I still have these two, which looking back, I kinda hate how I did this one. It does look like a kindergartner did it, but it's kinda cute. I also can do a great job of finishing. So the cording's gonna have to cover and it already looks like a kindergartner made this. So who cares, you know? But anyway, I'm gonna cover it with cording, make it a cute little ornament and the grandma dolly is going to be similar. I didn't do an amazing job with these finishings. I did most of them for bed also. They're just not matched up correctly. But it looks way better. Like this one's gonna look good because once I go in with cording, this one's actually gonna look fabulous. This is the grandma dolly. The very first one we ever did for our dolly of the month series. We have a couple more dollies, actually a lot of dollies here. These are all friend of mine canvases because I'm obviously obsessed. So this one is from our Dallas tour stop, the I love drinking and eating and shopping one. I'm color swapping it to the Milan frog color, the green. It's my favorite green color. I don't ever really know what color, like the names of the colors that I'm working with. I switch it up a ton. Like I would rather pull from my stash than buy a bunch of like new threads and stuff. But this frog color, I bought it in bulk. Well, it's not that I would rather do that. I'm just trying to do that. Let me correct myself, you know? Anyway, this I purchased when I was at the new needlepoint shop in downtown McKinney, which I'm gonna go back to this week. And it is just perfect. I got a bunch of different colors for a pillow that's actually on its way to me. So you guys will see it. And it's just like a really fun stripe fold, kind of like jewel tones-esque-ish. Actually, not really. But anyways, love that. And it's gonna be like a really light buttery yellow. So I'm thinking if this isn't a fabric, I think this is the perfect fabric for that pillow. I really don't wanna use this for that. I wanna use this for something else also. Like I love Easter now. So I'm like, I really wanna use this for like spring pillows of some sort. I don't know exactly what it's gonna be. We have some things up our sleeves, so it'll probably be for one of those. But I think this and that is like perfect. And I'm gonna get this like light, light buttery yellow almost to go. That's my biggest hack, even though I'm not doing it with these. But a lot of the time, if I'm going into the pillow, I'll pick the fabric first, and then I pick the threads, depending on the fabric, because it's a lot easier to match your threads, do your fabric to a thread, do your threads to a fabric, than it is to match your fabric to threads. So anyway, this one has just like been in my stack of things I need to finish. It's gonna be a cute little door hanger, little ruffle. I've made a ton of these for the doll of the month. And this one will just go out to our backyard, to the garden. So it'll be up year round. And I think it's so cute. I do a little gingham background. I just do five by five squares. I match a gingham pattern, and then I just do like satin stitches across. It's really simple. It is a little bit confusing at first. Like I definitely make mistakes, but like it's very easy. You can definitely do it. I did it also on this birthday one, which I just need to finish the yellow or the orange here. And I was thinking ruffle for a door hanger as well for whenever it's someone's birthday. But then I'm like, should I do a pillow? But I'm leaning towards like the actual door hanger. This one, I just like went too dark on the gingham pattern and I can't get a darker red without it looking weird. So I'm gonna go lighter. And so it's gonna mess up the gingham pattern, but it's okay. This is gonna be the backing for that ornament. And it's just gonna be a cute little ornament. This one, I need to, oh, that's a cute, but I don't know. I don't really wanna mess with this. I probably just wanna pull. This one should be cute, but I also don't wanna mess with this. I don't know. I'll figure out the backing for this, but it's just gonna be an ornament. It's our Dallas dolly. Very cute. I'm gonna do a very, I already outlined it. I wish I would have known that I did that because I could have just stitched it when I was traveling. But she's really cute. Love her. This is my favorite dolly ever. I haven't finished her yet because I just went back and I got like stocked up on this. I need to give you guys the name of this thread because it's the perfect velvet for dolly. It's kind of hard when you're stitching chickens because like even when I was with Sheila Blue Canary recently on Nantucket, and she was like, I just don't know which one to do. I'm like, it's harder than you'd think, but I found the perfect color. Anyways, this is the Nantucket one, so there's hydrangeas. This is the basket background, and this is going to be an ornament. And I think I'm just gonna go back to like normal cording. The problem with the ruffles is that makes the ornaments a lot easier, but I'm just curious how it's gonna like look on a Christmas tree. This is gonna be insane. This one, I need to trace an overall and do a little sand background. I'm probably gonna use these for like backing, just typical Nantucket stuff, Nantucket collection. This one, I was debating doing a stand or not, but I think I'm just gonna do an ornament, finish it up, do a little border, and then I'll probably, I hate doing a regular, so I actually might send that to a finisher. I have one more thing at the finisher. I also have, I guess I should describe this for you guys because I'm planning on finishing it myself. I was gonna send it to a finisher, but like guys, it is so easy. It's literally just a rectangle. It doesn't even need blocking, and I just need to add a magnet to the other side. So that's another one I need to get stuff for. That's from our Harrison Club, and this would be the cording for that. Even though that's so ridiculous, I just have extra. I wanted to match it perfectly. Honestly, I know it's really ridiculous, but it's okay. Also, I don't know if I've shown you guys this pillow yet. Myga finished my Dolly Garden canvas, and she looks, oh no, one of my French knots got messed up. Does it just get pulled out or something? No, I think it just got pulled. I've gotta get creative. It is beautiful. The green gingham, I got this fabric on a spoon flower. This is my favorite canvas I think I've ever done. I just had the best time doing this. Looking back, could've saved a lot of time had I not basket-weaved all of the grass, but seriously, one of my favorites ever. I love the French knots on it. I just love everything about that, so there we go. I love a 10 by 10. That's the problem. I have so many 10 by 10s, and then the one that I'm working on right now is another 10 by 10, 18. That's my favorite thing to do. I've gotten a lot of detail and stuff done. I showed you guys that earlier today, but that, okay, this pillow, I wish we had this fabric left. This is another one I did, but this fabric with this pillow would've been perfect for an in-tuck-it, so I'm gonna ask my grandma if we have any more of it and just see, but that is that, and then I just have some extra fabric and things like that laying around. Anyway, that is that. I have my Needlepoint Colt tote bag, best project bag ever. I'm gonna go fabric shopping today, so I need this to bring all the fabrics in. I need to make a list, check it twice, and then I'll be good. My grandma should be here any second, so updates to come. Guys, look who's arrived in style. This one I just showed you guys. Unbelievable, and then look at what we have. See, it's really, what did I do there? Oh, it's just a fuzz. It's just a little fuzz on there. Yeah, I love this one. It's so crazy. It looks so good. So good. It is exactly what I wanted. I love that fabric. It's just so fun. Oh, it is, fun. Okay, guys, Myga and I just went fabric shopping. I couldn't film a ton of it because one of the major things we were shopping for is a project that's coming out soon, and we were just very focused in on that, but I did get a couple other fabrics for myself. I should've filmed this haul with her. I just wasn't thinking we were catching up. I hadn't seen her in a couple of months, but we are going shopping for Needlepoint stuff on Friday, so we need to get to that, but I found this fabric, and it just reminded me so much of Harrison and a little bit of our collab. I loved it, so I texted him, and I was like, I'm just gonna buy this for you and use it on whatever you want, one day or never at all, but isn't it so cute? I got it for one of the projects I was talking about just now, and then, sorry, I'm being actually so annoying. Secret project, everyone. Okay, it's actually just a drop, but you guys will see it in October. We've been working on it for so long, and Myga's finishing it for us so that we can show you guys. It's one of those things, this is the only hint I'll give, it's something that you guys need to see done to understand the division. Anyway, I'm gonna stop at my dad's really quickly. I want to tour this little place to see if we can, I'm really toying with the idea of a friend of mine office, a one-on-one forever. We will see. There's something, we'll see. I'm not gonna say anything just yet because I don't know if it's going to work out, and then, I'm going to meet up with my sister-in-law in 30 minutes, and that is that. We are off, everyone. Everyone's been complimenting my really cute jeans that I'm obsessed with from Mother. Seriously, thank God I got them, and I have to go. In the time that we last spoke, I have decided that we are getting the office. I do feel as though I'm going a bit crazy every single second in this house with the amount of friend of mine product and samples and stuff that we have going, and we just need a place that people can go as we're hiring and whatnot. It's much needed. It's a three-bedroom, which is cool. It's actually a house, but we're able to rent it as an office, and the location's great. It's going to be great, fabulous. It's a good interim, because I'm just worried with how much growth that we have. I'm scared of locking into a commercial lease, because those are longer than just residential, and they're allowing us to do that. Anyway, it is all working out, and I'll give you guys a tour and everything, either in this vlog or the next one. I don't know when we'll get back over there. So, anyway, we're going through the house of things that we're going to go over. This is a friend of mine closet. I actually can't show you most of this stuff, because there's a lot of samples and stuff that are unreleased in here, but we're going to do that. I'll probably end up turning this office in my house into some sort of hobby office, because I already have my needlepoint closet. I want, I don't know, I really just want a friend of mine to release wallpaper, because that is why I've been putting off replacing all my wallpaper, and I really need just new wallpaper. It needs to happen, and I want to redo this room. It does feel too baby boy nursery, and we just need to move past this. This, we need to move past. I've also redone this room so many times, because it's so dark in here, that you just, it's cozy, but it's really dark, so it's really hard. I need to be in bright light, and natural light at all times. So, anyway, I'm really excited about this first office. It's going to be fabulous. So, we're just going to go through and figure this out. Also, the hosting closet, we just fixed it. So, I'll give you guys a little reminder what that thing looks like, because it's really just perfect and fab. Oh, and I need to put my whip, so stay tuned. Okay, so we're in the hosting closet, which is now fixed again. Three of the shelves fell, and that kind of just sent everything into disarray. Okay, they are Ikea shelves, and it's probably not the shelves' fault. It's probably the fact that I put like 20 boxes, or books on there, and you know, it's like a whole thing. So, anyway, you know what else is going to be so nice? Since we have so many extra cups, we can bring those to the office. Oh my God. Anyway, I've had these. I had way too many, like, happy birthday Charlie cups and stirrers made. Thank God I didn't do an age, because we will be reusing those this year. Anyway, the vision for this wall has always been that it was just going to be of things that I've hosted in this home, and then it kind of just became like, friend of mine photo shoot photos, outside of like this one, this one, and then the Martha picture. Does that go to the office, or does that go to stay in the hosting closet? I think hosting closet for now. We'll just get another one done for the office. Anyway, I'm going to move, like, these also I can just give to my dad. The photos for his house, because now I also, like, I love these frames so much, but I also did, like, too big of frames, I will say, for this, and I've learned my lesson, so we're going to go tomorrow to get frames done for every other thing tonight. I'm going to lock in, and I'm going to make an album of every single event that I have hosted in this home, or like majority of them, and I'm going to go in, and I'm going to get a ton of frames made, and then we can redo this, like, gallery wall, which will be good. So this can go in the office. This can go in the office. It was a family card shoot, so it's almost like a family photo. So I'm almost, like, maybe I keep this for my house, because it's both sides of my divorced family, so I'm not really thinking that my parents are dying to have photos of each other at their home, so I'll probably just hold onto that one. I haven't even talked about that on the vlog yet, but those are available on our site and on Revolve. More from that shoot. Definitely the one with Sophie. I think this one I can probably keep for my house, because it's more of, like, a sweet thing. So this is going to go for my house. What are these for? The office? The thing is, they're just, like, too big of photos, so that's the part where it's, like, kind of annoying, but it's okay. And then Sophie will go, that one goes in the office, and these three we'll keep, because these are the only three that are actually from things that I've hosted in this house. But we're gonna go tomorrow, I think, to Hobby Lobby. That's where everyone says that they get their stuff framed way cheaper, so I just wanted to grab things that we could. These will go to the office, I think. But also, like, I don't know, maybe this, let's bring these all to the office. This is just a big photo that I don't really know where I wanna put it in my house. So let's bring all of them to the office for the time being. And then we'll keep these, and then eventually, by eventually, very soon, we're gonna have a new gallery wall of every party, dinner party thing that I've hosted over the years, and then I'm gonna go to my Google Calendar since, like, March of 23, or whenever I moved in here, and see everything I've hosted and get photos from it. Like, I'm in business, and this isn't something I've been putting off for so long. And it's time, so we're gonna do that tomorrow, but the hosting closet is looking much, much better. Thank God. Charlie just made the best burger bowls of all time. The recipe, or exactly how he does it, not really recipe, but the process, if you will, is up on my Instagram and TikTok. It's this, like, most simple thing ever, but I just, I swear, the way he makes it is just so much better, and anyone who comes over, like, my sister came over, and he made it for her one day, and she's been begging. She's like, no, I need to know exactly what he does. Like, I don't know how to describe it, guys. It's, like, exactly how he makes it. It's just, it's unbelievable. Like, if you guys are looking for really good, easy, like, healthy weeknight, weekday lunch or dinner, whatever it might be, I cannot recommend this enough. I crave this all the time. If you guys live in Dallas, and you've ever had Keller's, which is, like, this really, really famous Dallas, like, burger place that has the best burgers that you've ever had in your entire life, honest to God, this is better. Like, it's crazy, and I love Keller's, and, like, I am such a burger girl. I love a cheeseburger, and this is the best. So, anyway, I really recommend that you guys make it. Also, he's gonna be so excited if he sees people making them. Like, he's already like, I could do, like, my buffalo wrap, and, like, and his ice cream. Anyway, I have marked this off on my calendar because I need to sit down and write probably, I think I have 40 thank you notes just from the past, I think, like, month of thank you notes. I've been trying to be super, super intentional about writing thank you notes to, like, quite literally every single person that we work with, and I'm excited. So I need to sit down, do this. Come on in, come on in. Oh, I don't know what's happening there. Okay, so we have a little, like, duplex thing. My dad, like, basically is gonna be our next door neighbor, and this is now ours, which will be really nice because it's fun to, like, be with my dad every day. So we're gonna be renting this from him. I've been looking into office spaces and stuff over the past couple of months, and essentially there's, like, commercial leases, and then there's, like, normal, like, residential leases. Commercial leases, I don't know if you guys are even interested or care about this at all, are typically, like, five years plus. Sometimes you can do three, and with how much, like, the company's changed in the past year, I didn't want to do, one, I always kind of wanted to do a house, and two, I just didn't want to make a commitment and then, like, locked into a lease that, like, didn't work for us for, like, a year or whatever. So anyways, this is, like, our best case scenario into his renting this, and I was like, honestly, I'll do it. So anyway, here we are. This is, like, the main living space in here, which is probably just gonna be, like, our main communal workspace, and also as we expand the team, obviously we'll have more people. I have a good vision for certain designs and stuff. I do have, like, wallpaper that I want to do, but it hasn't been made yet, and, like, depending on how long we're here, like, there is room for us to expand here, and also depending on how long we're here, I'll probably be, like, making some, like, slight cosmetic changes, I think, so. Anyway, over here, this will be my office. It is perfect. So my desk, we're thinking, is gonna sit here. I've gotten a lot of inspo on Pinterest that I've had pending for, like, quite literally, like, eight years of what I want in an office, and then it's so much better in here than my office at home, because the office at home is so dark that it's just really depressing, and it's really small. It's, like, an awkward-sized room, so it's just, like, no one wants to work in there. Like, even Charlie doesn't work in there. Charlie works in front of mine, by the way. I don't know if I've even said that in a vlog. I think I have. I think it's, like, been pretty obvious, but anyway, he's been working in front of mine for a while now, so anyway. I want a little desk here, and a cute little chair, and then I'll do something here. Probably a bulletin board. There's a bathroom here, but, like, obviously that's kind of irrelevant. I'll have a little, like, clothing rack for apparel, and that is that, and then in here, we're obviously gonna, like, this is what I'm thinking now, but, like, we could completely change all this stuff. I don't know. So we really want this to feel like kind of a hobby room that you come in. Like, maybe we even, like, host people for events and stuff one day, because we have a backyard. Like, there's just, like, I don't know, there's options, but I want to get a really massive, massive cork board, bulletin board, and cover it with fabric. Now, what is a really rude awakening about becoming an adult is if you see all those in, like, school, and you're like, oh, my God, it's so cute, and then you realize that they're, like, so expensive. So I will be finding, I'll, like, a basic marketplace or something. I don't know where we're gonna get that, and then we'll do a little, like, Mahjong parlor corner here, where we'll hang our Mahjong bats, and then I'm gonna get, like, a big chest here that will have, like, extra product, extra samples, just, like, it'll be, like, really organized, and it's gonna be, like, tall and, like, kind of vintage looking. So this'll be kind of, like, the hobby room, but it'll also be good for, like, content for the brand and stuff, because I've been so slacking on social because we don't have anyone else who, like, runs it. So it's, like, an even, I'm just, we're just a small team. We don't have that. We literally have, like, four people who work here. So anyway, over here, that's another bathroom, irrelevant. Okay, this is the hallway. We do have a washer and dryer, which is actually really, really convenient to have at the office because when we get samples in for whether it be, like, tabletop or clothing or, like, future other products that we're working on, you want to obviously, like, wash them and see how they wear and everything. So it's really convenient to have here. And even if we end up doing events or just, like, need to clean stuff here, whatever, it'll be really nice. We also are gonna have a bathroom option because we do need a space for people if they're coming into town. This is the bed, so this is not anything else for us to use. This is our last room. This is normally bolted off. Anyway, this, I think we're gonna do a little daybed situation here because it is, it's not a wasted space, but, like, it's kind of perfect for, like, a daybed fit. And then I think, for the time being, we're gonna put, like, my old, like, couch and stuff in here and then we'll just, like, figure it out as it goes. I have a lot of, like, visions for, like, what I want to do with my Pinterest board. Then we also have, I haven't really looked at the closets in other rooms, but, like, we can put, like, old stuff in here. Not old stuff, but, like, stuff that I'm not, like, just gonna blame so we can kind of kick it out of the way. But I just feel like my brain has been, like, I've been, it just, like, has been, you know? So I think this is gonna, I think it's gonna make a big difference. Oh, look, we have an attic, too. Huh. I don't think we'll need to use that, but. Anyway, I do want, like, a little console here and then the shelves, the shelves that I saw on Pinterest that they're using are the same ones that I used for my book wall that they're, like, the tenant. I think it's, like, what, six inches, ten inches? I don't know, like, it's a bigger size. So we can have, like, books, like, design books here, which I have so many. So that'll be really easy. Cute little thing, a little, like, poof ottoman or something. I want lots of art. I've always, I don't think it's gonna work, but I've always wanted a round table with a tablecloth with books all around it and then a big plant in the middle. Now, is that the best use of our space? No, it's not. So will that be happening? TBD. I think it's gonna just depend on what we end up doing, but I think this is gonna be, one, this is what we need desperately, and two, it's just gonna be a life changer. So anyway, we decided this yesterday and it is now, let's see this. What is today's date? Sorry. We decided this yesterday and then we'll start, like, September 1st, but obviously I'm very lucky that it's my dad, so I think, I mean, we'll be gone, so we won't be, like, actually moving stuff in, but whenever I get back, like, we'll have stuff in here, which will be amazing, and I'm so happy and I'm so grateful, and this is just the best day ever, so. Do you wanna go to the backyard or no? Oh, yeah, so the backyard thing actually connects to my dad's backyard, so it was, we had family members who were living in here before, so that's why he didn't, like, completely shut all this stuff off. I mean, he did it between the houses, but not in, like, the backyard. So anyway, this isn't, like, done, but I actually showed this house in a vlog, probably, whenever I was living in Nashville, and he was, like, renovating it and stuff. At that time, he wasn't planning on moving there, but he's had, like, life changes and he's moving there, so anyway, I was showing that it was, like, a house that we were working on together, and then he really did it while I was in Nashville. I wasn't really here to, like, do any of the stuff, and he ended up moving there. We had more family move to Texas, so they ended up moving here. Anyway, there is this whole area outside, so in the fall, we can work out here, which would be so nice. I wish that this was, like, a garden, I was saying, because eventually, like, there is option for us to take over, like, the whole house, the rest of it, and we could have, like, a podcast studio, be like, Kinsella's and stuff, like, we don't need, like, a ton for Kinsella's and stuff, we would really just need, like, a podcast studio, but we could expand a friend of mine. It would be really cute. I just, I know that these are rocks, so it would be, like, hard, but it'd be cute if we had, like, a friend of mine garden, just thinking, and then there's more out here, and then he has, like, another thing over here that is what he uses over there as, like, a gym, and then there's, like, a patio seat area thing for him, and then there's, like, a fireplace. So, anyways, lots of room for growth, but I think that, like, the timing for everything really just worked out so perfectly, and I think it's gonna be amazing. So, I'm very excited. I'm gonna be doing a lot of, like, face-up marketplace shopping, like, that's pretty, that and wave hair, and we'll just see what we can do. Maybe I'll replace some of the lighting. It is the best thing ever. I want to start a new YouTube series. I've actually been thinking about it this week, called, like, The Crawl or something, where I do, like, I'll go places, and it's for all my fellow serial hobbyists, and it's, like, the best antique stores at certain places. Like, we go to Round Top, or I would do, like, all the needlepoint shops of Dallas, or all the needlepoint shops of New York City, and, like, all the antique shops of, like, Downtown McKinney, like, all that stuff. Anyways, if you guys would be interested, let me know. But, like, Downtown McKinney is seriously, I could do seven videos here. So, anyway, we are meeting my grandma, because, as you guys know, she is helping me with a lot of the friend of mine products that we need for, like, upcoming photo shoots and samples and all that stuff. We've got to grab some stuff. She's also going to be, like, go stitching for us with a bunch of stuff. So, we need to get fibers. We're going on a double date with her and her new husband, which will be really cute. I need to get fibers for some stuff. My niece had her first week of middle school, Sophie. Guys, I literally can't even talk about it. I have been distraught. I cannot believe it. I actually am sick to my stomach. So, Charlie and I are going to go take her for, like, ice cream and go squishy hunting. If you guys have had a child near you or around you around that age, you know about these squishies. Like, it is the craziest thing I've ever seen. But, anyway, we go to, like, Five Below, and I guess we go squishy hunting. I don't know. We're taking her there to celebrate her, like, first week of middle school. And then we're, like, seeing more family and stuff tonight. But, anyway, that's just what's happening now. I went to my workout this morning. I just forgot to vlog up until right this second. I can show you guys my outfit and my needle point. Oh, I'm also doing a little background stitch on this. I started in the car. My face has just been so puffy this week. I've also been eating sushi and, like, I don't know. It's just one of those weeks where I have, like, an ailment every day. We are off to the farmer's market. I actually need to put my eye patches on. We're off to the farmer's market. And then, we're gonna go to my nephew's soccer game. They're three years old. So, when this one- It's gonna be awesome. It's gonna be. He started last season. And this one is gonna be even funnier because they haven't had a practice yet before this game. So, it's just so entertaining to watch. So, we're going to that. And then, Charlie and I have a couple errands for him today. He doesn't know about yet. But, we do. And I wanna go to Hobby Lobby. I need to find the photos that they've been. We're gonna have a really fabulous Saturday. I still need to go to Hobby Lobby. I'm going there because that's where you get the cheaper framing and matting. Cannot just do frame bridge because it's so expensive for that entire wall. So, I need to do that for the hosting closet, hopefully. But, I do know that on a weekend, it's really bad. And recently, the frames apparently haven't been amazing there. So, we'll have to see. I'll keep you guys posted. We also have some slime activator stuff because that's what they were doing last night. And some squishies, which have been crazy. What are you doing, girl?
