The Scandal Set To Rock The Trump Presidency - September 2026 Astrology

There's a fascinating pattern in US history. Whenever Saturn has made a hard aspect with the Sun in the United States natal chart, scandal has engulfed the American presidency. It happened with Watergate, it happened with Monica Lewinsky, it happened with non-existent weapons of mass destruction, and it's Donald Trump's turn to face one now. I think this bill will come due sometime between now and the spring next year, but next month, September 2026, may well be the month when the shape of this scandal becomes clear, and it could well have to do with Melania Trump and a certain Jeffrey Epstein. We'll get into all of this in this September forecast episode. For that, let's take a look back at recent events and the astrology that signified them. I'm your host, Dan Waits. August brought the second of this year's two eclipse seasons, a solar eclipse in Leo on August the 12th and a lunar eclipse in Pisces on August the 28th. This is an interesting time to see eclipses in Leo because these times are strongly resonant of Aquarius, Leo's opposing sign. Where Leo is the sign of singular and central figures, Aquarius is about the place of the individual within the collective. It's also the sign of utopian schemes to remake the world, including those based on technology. Needless to say, we're seeing extremely rapid technological change right now, and I'm thinking here of the increasingly controversial AI rollout, of course. With eclipses moving into Leo and Jupiter in that sign as well, we're being asked collectively to negotiate between our creative, authentic selves and the implications of this new technology. A case in point, on July the 21st, just ahead of the eclipse, Substack announced a partnership with an AI detection tool called Pangram, which estimates how much of a given piece was written by AI. It's become hugely controversial. Some writers who use AI say they're being caught up in a witch hunt. Others who don't use it fear a false positive could ruin their reputations. Feelings around AI are getting mighty strong, with a good number of people taking an uncompromising position and demanding that writers declare whether or not they're using it. All this feels very much like the Leo Aquarius axis. We're trying to figure out what authenticity looks like in the AI age and what it implies for creativity. But the level of polarisation here makes me think something else is at work. Here's a quick excerpt from my recent video, The Great Split is Here and It's Time to Choose. If I'm right about the astrology of the moment, then splits and bifurcations should intensify in the coming years. As we've seen, Uranus is in Gemini until its transition out begins in 2032, and Pluto and Neptune are making sextiles until 2032 as well, and they also have a Gemini agenda in part. I suspect that's going to mean that we're all put under more and more pressure to take sides. Efforts are going to be made to sweep us up into great camps and pit us against each other. I think the Leo eclipse heightened that dynamic. It fell close to two knowledge planets, Mercury and Jupiter, also in Leo, and it seems to have been strongly felt in domains related to knowledge production and wisdom. Two big stories in August spoke to this. The first arrived within the astrological community itself around the veteran astrologer Stephen Forrest, a solar figure in this field. On a podcast episode about shadow work recorded with his business partner Ricky Williams, Forrest used a racial slur. He apologised, but the criticism widened from there to other remarks he'd made in the same conversation. And in the UK, the Cambridge sociologist Jason Arday faced a barrage of allegations that he plagiarised parts of his doctoral thesis and exaggerated aspects of his own life story. He resigned on August the 5th and was found dead on August the 14th, aged 41. Police said the death was unexpected, but not suspicious. I don't want to get into the ins and outs of either of these episodes. What I want to note is how both turned into a kind of war between two sides who seemingly could not or would not compromise because they held fundamentally different values. In both cases we saw claims that you simply had to take one particular stance or you were one of the bad guys. I think both these cases reflect the ideologically divided nature of the times and we'll have to get used to it because I think it's going to be a recurring theme, not just this year but through to the middle of the 2030s as I explained in that earlier video. That Leo eclipse also brought the death of a celebrity actress and former child star Hayden Panettiere who died on August the 16th aged just 36. Leo is the sign of celebrity and the inner child. Finally I think the Leo eclipse will have big implications for Russia and Ukraine as I explained in my previous live stream. It's too early to judge whether I'm right about that because eclipses stay in effect for many months if not years. But it's often telling to look at events right at the time of an eclipse because they can serve as omens of what's coming. On August the 13th the day after the eclipse it was reported that Ukraine had offered Russia a halt to attacks on civilian shipping in the Black Sea where the disruption is raising fears about global food supply. In other words Ukraine proposed a truce. Russia didn't accept it to be clear but let's see what happens over the coming months because I suspect we'll see a significant shift in this conflict between now and spring 2027. I also said last month that the lunar eclipse at the end of August would be bad for Volodymyr Zelensky the Ukrainian president and pressure is indeed piling up on him. On August the 18th Mikhailo Fedorov the popular defense minister that Zelensky fired in July called publicly for wartime elections. This was the most direct challenge to Zelensky's authority since the invasion began. The next day Zelensky dismissed his deputy chief of staff Irina Mudra as anti-corruption investigators raided premises linked to her office. Zelensky is under a ton of astrological pressure right now and I'm not quite sure how much longer he can last honestly. All right let's get into this month's forecast. September opens with a square between Mars and Saturn which is an aspect that started making its presence felt at the end of August that could already be manifesting by the time you watch this. What's the essence of a hard aspect between Mars and Saturn? Well it's the unstoppable force meaning the immovable object. Hot fiery Mars wants to race ahead and act cold Saturn wants to put the brakes on. So what we tend to see at Mars Saturn hard aspects are situations of great pressure. You can find yourself working very hard and getting nowhere. Bear that in mind if you're feeling frustrated around this time. The exact square perfects on September the 1st and the frustration should start to dissipate after that. But the square is also a key moment in the synodic cycle of Mars and Saturn which runs roughly two years from conjunction to conjunction. To know what this square will bring we look at what was happening at the last conjunction of the planets. Exact on April the 19th of 2026. And a couple of things come to mind. On April the 8th the U.S. agreed to a ceasefire with Iran tied to reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Days later a U.S. delegation led by J.D. Vance failed to reach a peace deal in Islamabad. Trump said no agreement could be reached on Iran's nuclear program and announced a blockade on Iranian shipping. On April the 21st with the conjunction almost exact he extended the ceasefire indefinitely but the naval blockade stayed. A blockade is very Mars Saturn. It's a block to action. At the same time crisis erupted in the energy markets. Refineries and oil facilities were going up in flames around the world just as supply was squeezed by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Right now the Strait is effectively shut with traffic at around 20 percent of the pre-war average. The question is what will the Mars Saturn square bring? Well it's hard to imagine it brings any kind of deal between the U.S. and Iran. I'd expect further blocking and pressure on Iran and possibly events that squeeze the energy industry and gas prices even further. But there's something else this square is going to bring and it's a lot more salacious. Let's rewind to April the 9th, 10 days before the conjunction. Melania Trump made a surprise appearance at the White House and read a prepared statement about Jeffrey Epstein. She condemned what she called unfound and baseless lies and said she'd never been friends with Epstein or his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and that neither of them played any role in how she met Donald. The reaction was one of bafflement because hardly anybody was really talking about this at the time. Melania had apparently not told White House officials what she was going to say. Trump said he knew nothing about it in advance. The press had no idea what to make of it because it came at a moment when people had largely stopped talking about Melania's alleged connections to Epstein. What emerged afterwards is that hours before the statement a former Brazilian model named Amanda Ungaro had posted a series of threatening messages on X claiming 20 years of acquaintance with Melania and suggesting that she would expose what she supposedly knew. That timing raised the question of whether Ungaro's threats had prompted Melania's extraordinary intervention. Now if we look at the chart for April the 9th we have Mercury, Mars, Neptune and Saturn clustered within a few degrees of the Sun in Aries. I can only wonder if Melania felt under great pressure and Mars Saturn signature and took quick unilateral action, Aries, using speech, Mercury, in a way that produced confusion in the public sphere, Neptune. At the time Mars and Saturn were about seven degrees from conjunction so I'm wondering whether we see a visible return to this story somehow at their square in late August or early September. The astrologer Alex Harper who was on this show in early August thinks this issue is going to blow up and he has a long live stream about this at his YouTube channel at Baleful Rays. I've come to think the same thing because what I found out is that whenever Saturn makes hard aspects to the Sun of the United States natal chart at 13 degrees of Cancer, scandals and crises of trust engulf the presidency. Think Watergate, think Monica Lewinsky, think non-existent weapons of mass destruction. This pattern works like clockwork and in the bonus section of this video available for members of the channel whether here on YouTube or at my website I lay out that research. Now Saturn makes three squares to the Sibley Sun in total. It made the first on June the 15th this year and on June the 1st with Saturn approaching that square, Ungaro went considerably further than she had before alleging in a recorded message that Melania had been working for Epstein and that this was how she met Donald Trump. I should be clear that these are allegations that are disputed by the first lady whose lawyers have said that they're fighting back against them. The reason I don't think this is over is that two more squares are coming and I'm confident that these aspects bring serious scandals to US presidents. The next Saturn square is exact on September the 6th, watch that time, and the third and final one arrives on March the 2nd 2027. When Mars and Saturn reach their square at the end of August we can expect the themes of April to be recapitulated. Now the Sun of the Sibley chart is at 13 Cancer and Jeffrey Epstein's ascendant-descendant axis sits at 12 Campergon and 12 Cancer so it's stimulated by this very same transit. At the end of August and into early September Mars at 13 Cancer squares Saturn at 13 Aries hitting both of those charts at once and we've already seen this Sibley Sun placement triggered recently. In mid-August Venus and Libra opposed Saturn and lit up both the Sibley Sun and Epstein's chart. Now on August the 19th the Department of Education posted this image for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix showing Trump in a Mario Kart style graphic. As many pointed out though the figure on the right looked rather a lot like Jeffrey Epstein which prompted a lot of mockery. So that aspect brought up the President's connections to Epstein. When Mars triggers Saturn by square we could well see a significant development on the same lines and with Mars sitting on the Sun of the U.S. chart it probably won't be something that pleases the U.S. President. Even if the square passes quietly I think some kind of scandal is likely to touch Trump between now and March 2027. Of course Trump is Teflon Don. He has survived countless revelations and disclosures that would have brought any other politician down. So whatever it is I would assume it would need to be quite big. By March I think it will be very clear what this thing is and the best guess on the table is that it relates to Melania and Epstein. We'll come back to this shortly because Venus's transit through Scorpio could take the story further. Once the Mars Saturn square perfects there's some very nice astrology in early September. Each month I find the best astrological elections of the month and I publish them for World Astrology Report members in the forum on my website and I found several nice elections in the first week of September that take advantage of Mercury and Virgo and Venus and Libra. Now the sky weather takes a turn around September the 10th when both Venus and Mercury change sign. Mercury leaves Virgo where it's both exalted and in domicile the Libra. That's not so bad for Mercury and it emerges from the sun's beams around the same time but Venus moves from its domicile of Libra into Scorpio the sign of its exile. That's a significant downgrade for Venus so relational matters won't proceed with as much ease from that point. Venus in Scorpio is interested in depth and in the fulfillment of strong but often hidden desires. It's an unconventional Venus one through which intensity and the satisfaction of our baser appetites find easier expression. The important thing about this ingress is that Venus will station retrograde at 8 degrees and 29 minutes of Scorpio on October the 3rd. In personal matters Venus retrogrades bring revisions, reviews, renegotiations and returns in the relational domain. Pop astrology textbook calls it the sex with your ex transit which isn't wrong but it's rarely that dramatic. What it does bring is the urge to review the terms of a current relationship or to re-examine and sometimes return to ones from the past. A while back I noticed that this retrograde will begin very close to the midheaven of Jeffrey Epstein's chart possibly suggesting a public reckoning with a past relationship of his. By the way whether he's dead or not his chart still works. Now when Alex Harper came on the channel in early August he suggested this very retrograde would bring up the specific question of how Melania came to meet Donald Trump and her relationship with Epstein and I think he may well turn out to be right. At minimum it fits the astrology very closely. Now at the end of a retrograde Venus will station direct on November the 14th at 22 degrees and 51 minutes of Libra. She passed that degree on August the 31st entering her shadow phase. This is the point where the retrograde themes start being set up. So look at what came up for you around that date. Those events are your clues to what this retrograde will bring for you personally. August the 31st is also right on the Mars-Saturn square which is another reason I think the Epstein theme could surface around then. If it does that's confirmation that a bigger scandal is brewing. Alright let's change tack because something else is happening on September the 10th that's recently coincided with governments falling and wars breaking out of their bounds. On September the 10th Uranus stations retrograde. For roughly a week either side we can expect a heightening of Uranian influence. Uranus is the planet of sudden reversals and breakthroughs. It's fast acting bringing shocks and surprises and disrupting static or sclerotic systems. It starts protests and brings down governments. It's currently an early Gemini and it will be stationing at five degrees and 41 minutes of that sign. You've got placements within a couple of degrees of conjunction, square or opposition to that degree you'll probably feel it. Now this is only the second time Uranus has stationed retrograde in Gemini since it entered the sign in 2025. The first came on September the 6th 2025 so let's look back there for clues. London is traditionally associated with Gemini. I'm not sure why though I find it interesting that today London is really two cities in one. It's the capital of the UK and the capital city of London. The so-called square mile is the financial district and it has its own laws and its own system of governance. Early September 2025 was chaotic for London. There was a government reshuffle after Angela Rayner was forced to resign. There were some 890 arrests at rallies supporting Palestine action. There was a mass walkout of public transport services. Peter Mandelson was sacked as US ambassador of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and there was a massive anti-migration rally called Unite the So keep an eye on London at this time. Things could get chaotic once again. Another way of identifying which region a transit will hit is the geodetic map which lays the 12 signs over the globe with zero Aries at the prime meridian. The region associated with Gemini covers most of South and Central Asia. That area was a hotspot at the 2025 station. The Gen Z revolution in Nepal broke out right then after the government banned social media. A devastating earthquake in Afghanistan killed around 2,200 people and eastern Punjab in Pakistan saw its worst flooding on record with almost 2 million people evacuated. Uranus was conjunct Sedna at the time. Sedna is a body named for an Inuit ocean goddess. Governments fell apart in the UK, France and Japan and in several of the world's wars we saw attacks that in uranian fashion broke precedent and opens dangerous new phases. Israel struck the Hamas negotiating team in Qatar. Russia hit the cabinet of ministers building in Kiev, something it hadn't done before. Poland shot down a Russian drone the first time a NATO member had fired on a Russian target in this conflict and in the US Charlie Kirk was assassinated. That should give you a flavor of the kinds of things a Uranus retrograde station can bring. Something else to bear in mind is as of August the 11th my software tells me that Pluto is out of bounds as it was at last year's Uranus station. It stays out of bounds until early December. Pluto is the planet of power, particularly hidden power, so expect hidden power to start flexing its muscles in this part of the year. I expect significantly more governments facing serious unrest over the next three months and this Uranus station could be where some of those storylines flare up. Let's see what happens. All right we've already crammed a lot into this forecast and we haven't even reached the month's lunations so let's take a look at the first of them, a new moon in Virgo. On September the 11th, which is a date with obvious historical resonance, we get a new moon at 18 degrees of Virgo. This is the seeding of new storylines in the sign of the maiden who sorts wheat and chaff and so it's a sign of the harvest, the technician, the worker, the discerning and discriminating mind. On the surface this lunation looks like it will bring a fairly pure expression of Virgo since the only close major aspect is a weak sextile to Mars and Cancer. But the lunation is actually in a 135 degree sesquiquadrate aspect to Pluto. The sesquiquadrate is an eighth harmonic aspect of the nature of the square and this one is very tight, just five arc minutes from exactitude. So there's a strong Plutonic influence here bringing up power, control, manipulation, death, rebirth, deep but hidden influence. If we look at the astro map we can see where this lunation lands on the powerful chart angles. It highlights North and South Korea where the moon is right on the midheaven as it perfects. The Koreas resonate to Leo, the sign that saw last month's solar eclipse and in August the South Korean president called for peace talks with the North to formally end Korean war. The map also highlights Ukraine with the new moon on the ascendant close to Kiev. According to Dietrich Hessen's lunar shadows technique, lunations nine months apart are thematically linked. Going back nine months before this one we reach a last quarter moon 20 Virgo on December the 11th 2025. Now around that time Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met Zelensky in Berlin where there was significant progress on what a peace deal might look like although the Russians weren't present. I wouldn't swear by this because I haven't fully made up my mind about whether the technique works this consistently but I think it's worth watching Ukraine closely around this new moon. We might see negotiations or a deal floated once again. Now let's move on to the next lunation, the full moon in Aries. On September the 22nd the sun enters Libra and the northern hemisphere enters the half of the year in which darkness predominates. This gives us the Libra ingress chart which we cast to understand what the second half of the astrological year brings the different locations. I won't say more for now because I have a special guest coming on in September to analyze the Libra ingress so watch this space. Then on September the 26th we get a full moon at three degrees of Aries. This is a really interesting one. An Aries moon tends to have a bold or aggressive feel, a sense of shooting first and asking questions later. But this moon is tightly conjunct Neptune at two degrees of Aries so it's a moment of revelation or an important turning point in an older story with a strong Neptunian flavor. Expect themes of water, oil, the oceans and faith to come up in notable ways. Given the lunation falls in Mars's own sign I expect prominent events related to war or the sea or both at once, war at sea. But I also think whatever happens may not be what it seems. Neptune can bring a strongly illusory quality to events on the ground so I'd urge caution here. There's a real potential at this lunation for us to take action on the basis of misunderstanding given the strong Marshall and Neptunian influence at work. All right that's it for this forecast.
