Behind the Back Door - Classic 70s Country Love Song

Almost seventeen, that's what you were I was eighteen, just a little older Time moves slow, it felt like heaven Those summer nights, went on forever Behind the back door, just you and me Two young hearts finally starting to see We didn't know what love would be But that first kiss stayed with me Remember that little smile The way you looked at me that night I reached for you, you held me close And everything just felt so right Behind the back door, just you and me Two young hearts finally starting to see We didn't know what love would be But that first kiss stayed with me That old house is gone today Those summer years have slipped away But close my eyes and there you are Seventeen beneath the evening stars Behind the back door, just you and me Two young hearts finally starting to see We didn't know what love would be But that first kiss stayed with me Behind the back door, just you and me Two young hearts finally starting to see We didn't know what love would be But that first kiss stayed with me Almost seventeen, that's what you were I was eighteen, just a little older
