Hi friends! So I just went grocery shopping for the week and I went to Walmart and I spent $35
total. Let's start over here with what I should not have bought. I've told you guys before I'm
obsessed with these and they had a buy two save a dollar coupon. So I'm going to store one of
these in my pantry and hopefully not eat them both in a week. I promise I won't eat them both in a
week. I got some milk, some butter I just ran out, some cereal, I price matched strawberries from
$2.50 something down to $1.49. So I saved a little money on those. I got some more dessert bars,
some sour cream, plums, apples, price matched bananas down to I think 20 something cents.
I'll tell you about that in a second and I price matched grapes from three something
down to 89 cents. So I saved quite a bit of money this week and that is what I got. I also wanted
to tell you that I had a fantastic experience price matching today which Sholi made up for
that lady last week. The guy that I checked out with was incredibly nice. He actually like unloaded
all my groceries and we were just chatting the whole time. He was married unfortunately
and like making puns and he made price matching super easy. I didn't even have to show him my
screen of matches. He's like now I've been seeing these all day. Yeah and then he actually gave me
bananas. I didn't have a price match for those. He said you know somebody came through price match
for bananas earlier. I'm happy to give that to you as well and he said I usually do that for people
that come through. If I see they have items that I know are on price match I go ahead and give them
the deal because you know everybody deserves to save a little bit of money. So I today totally
made up for that experience last week where they just acted like I was trying to steal from them
by price matching but this guy was super easy going. Made it so easy. If you've ever done like a
retail position. I've been a retail person before like a registered checkout. I used to work at
Target and I've worked at clothing stores before. You may not realize that your mood can absolutely
affect somebody else's day because I was kind of like I look kind of gross today and I've been
doing stuff around the house and I was just not feeling life. I'm like I'm so sick of this but
just chatting with one person like that who was genuinely nice and just kind of happy just totally
kind of made me feel better for a while. So I just kind of wanted to share that with you. So yeah
good price matching experience to counter the really bad one last week. Sometimes it is easy
to go through. Most of the time it's very easy to do it. So my food is done. I am using leftovers
from the blue apron chicken meatloaf dish. There were three servings of that. There wasn't really
a third serving of potatoes but I'll just grab some green beans or something to go with it.
I also have my grapes and my strawberries all prepped. I also have all of this delicious fruit
to grab and just kind of choose per day. Now since the blue I didn't pay anything for the
blue apron meals I didn't bother to do a cost analysis but those usually cost about 75 cents
each and about the same for the strawberries. The price for per pound for the grapes was 89 cents
price per pound or per container which held a little more probably about a pound and a half two
pounds uh was a dollar fifty. So uh that's about it. I won't say let you let me know if you can
beat my totals because you probably cannot beat free if unless you also had a blue apron meal.
But let me know what y'all are eating this week. Bye. I quickly wanted to tell you what I thought
of my meals this week. For dinner I had the two blue apron meals that I did a review and test of
last week and while they were very good for dinner I had planned to have the leftovers for lunch
this week and they were terrible. I went over that in my review a little bit. The meals did
not hold together well. There was no egg in the meatloaf so it just kind of fell apart
and got gross. The fish was slimy the second day so not great lunches for me. I just kind of
scrounged around and uh figured stuff out but uh for dinner I also had or for lunches I also did
have the strawberries and the grapes. The grapes were very good. The strawberries were not very
sweet this week. I don't know why um and I ate them anyway but they just they didn't have that
really good strawberry sweetness that I've gotten used to. Maybe I'm uh spoiled by Louisiana
strawberries. For dinner I also did a flatbread tortilla pizza one night. Just cheese pizza.
One night I did cereal. I did macaroni and cheese with some peas one night. Um whole wheat but still
and um yeah the blue apron meals kept me pretty full and not hungry. So uh yeah there was all that.
I did an omelet for uh breakfast on Sunday and um that is about it. So I had a relatively
unsuccessful week but hopefully the upcoming one will be better. Let me know what you ate this week
and um you probably did better than me and I will link the blue apron review down below
if you want to see what the meals were that I had and how they were prepared and what I
thought of them. So bye.
