BEST VEGAN EATS IN MONTREAL, CANADA (Vlog Part 1)

A few months ago I spent a few days in Montreal with some friends and here is all of the yummy food that I ate in the best vegan city in Canada. Yes my friends this video is part one because I could not fit all of the deliciousness in one video so make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss part two. Before we jump in just letting you guys know that I'm hosting two vegan tours in Thailand in January 2027 and you are invited to come along. The first tour is going to be a Bangkok and Chiang Mai tour. This one is going to be a bit more foodie and culture focused. We're going to be doing tuk-tuk rides across Bangkok while eating delicious vegan Thai food. We're going to visit a local farm and do a Thai cooking class. We're going to visit temples and learn so much about Thailand and the vastness of Thai culture. The second tour is happening in Phuket. This one is going to be a beaches and elephants tour. We're going on a catamaran cruise. We're going to see a cabaret show. We're also doing a Thai cooking class and best of all we're going to be visiting a very reputable elephant rescue sanctuary. Both tours are going to be awesome. Thailand is one of my favorite countries to host tours in and we always have such a great time. The tours are back to back with a few days of rest in between so if you want to come along to both tours you can absolutely do so. So you can get a really great experience in Thailand but if you just want to come along to one tour just pick whichever one resonates with you the most and hopefully I'll see you in Thailand. Bonjour! We're back in my personal and maybe his personal, I don't know. It is my favorite city. Our favorite city in Canada which is Montreal. And what are we doing We are eating. Full stop. We're going to eat and drink. That is the plan because not only is this our favorite city in Canada, it's also the second largest city in Canada and also the best vegan city in Canada. That has the best vegan food here. In our opinion which is always correct. Well at least mine is. I was going to ask you too, how do you feel about maybe going to a live jazz music thing tonight? Sound lovely. Yeah we'll think about it. So I got here this afternoon and we already feasted. Yes. You will see the footage right now. Hello, hello. There's my friend here that I'm pissed off at. Why am I pissed off? Why do you think I'm pissed off? He's 20 minutes late, he's hungover. First stop in Montreal, Burger Fiance. I think this was the last place we came to. We came here like four years ago or five years ago. Yeah they had a balcony at the time. But it's like spring right now so it's like kind of it's starting to get nice the weather but yeah anyway we're inside. So we are at Burger Fiance which is 100% plant-based burger joint. They've got poutine, they've got burgers, they got all kinds of goodness so we are going to feast because I'm starving. I'm hangry. I'm hangry and Daniel pissed me off so I'm even more hangry. We ordered the Fiance poutine. We had to grab a poutine because we're in Montreal and you're supposed to eat poutine in Montreal even though I'm not gonna lie I'm not the biggest fan of poutine but this looks pretty good. Fiance poutine look at that. It's definitely a fancier version of a poutine but you got some gravy, vegan pulled pork, some onions and of course some vegan cheese. Literally gigantic. It's like a freaking this is not for one person yeah this is not for one person this is to share but this basically has pulled pork so like barbecue pulled pork there's fries obviously I mean hopefully you guys know what poutine is it's fries with gravy and cheese it's obviously vegan cheese and vegan gravy and there's also pulled pork and this truffle sauce it's very good it's really it's giving the truffle flavor look at this gigantic pulled pork oh look at that with the steam coming out of there yeah okay big bite time big bite yeah we can't get full off this though because we still have burgers coming. I'm excited about this like pulled pork situation like this looks so ******* epic. You want a knife Daniel? Yeah I'm gonna cut this bit because I want to take all of oh look at that bite that's a huge bite that's like the size of the bite you took you would love this because you love oh my god it's dangerous it is so good I like the day of onions in here too that pulled pork like really compliments like that pulled pork whatever maybe like complements it so well is that jackfruit? I don't think it's jackfruit I think it's actually fake meat yeah it is it's so good freaking good you're right we can't fill up on this as we dig in more I know we're like let's just but I mean this is a massive portion like you have to share yeah this is not the they also have a classic poutine this one it's probably better I think it's good to try like the restaurant's signature dishes you know oh look at that this is the Beyonce burger in here we've got impossible patty vegan cheese some vegan bacon some mushrooms we've got onion rings we have a tomato red onion pickles lord jesus let's have a bite you're gonna take a bite roses oh my if I can it's gonna open up I gotta open wide okay oh that is huge look at the sauce be dripping roses there's so much going on in this burger I make sure you look like you enjoy it are you the one I took where it's like did I mention I just got off the airport that's cute oh wow look at that now next okay so this is the vegan salmon burger that would be roses what the hell you gonna eat a piece of salmon that is so salmony I'm gonna try okay oh my god you're gonna die am I uh-huh I'm not sure my stomach can handle the fishy taste right now come on it's so okay it tastes like salmon let's try this okay it tastes like salmon what's going on let's see god damn if we miss his hail this like falls apart I know it really does but it's really good well if you can handle the fishy taste doesn't it taste like salmon that is crazy what the f**k tastes like ******* salmon we also got the vegan caesar salad on the side what the f**k is that I think it's like made of soy it must be made of soy let me try one of them and this one's kimchi kimchi fries like it's even like it's like flaky it's so good that's crazy holy s**t that's crazy that is the best imitation fish salmon I've ever had I think me too that's so good I'm gonna try a bite of this one whoa this like this is this like their this is their traditional burger yeah so we got like the name brand fiance poutine and the fiance burger I love it oh my god yeah it's good that is good it's very messy I'm also gonna try the kimchi fries as a Korean I was gonna say it's dangerous when Rose orders kimchi at a restaurant because she's it is dangerous when I order kimchi at a restaurant because I am a Korean snot it's actually really good is that it's quite spicy it's very spicy actually but I'm gonna the flavor is really nice it's a very like very strong flavor excellent without radish it's like they actually have radish kimchi I'm gonna try a little bit of this is it like a kimchi poutine I feel like it kind of is but I don't know if there's um cheese in it I feel like kimchi goes well with poutine because it makes it less greasy oh that's really good oh okay I'm slowly getting happier that's good that's good news for me guys good news for Daniel vegan Caesar I love I love a good vegan Caesar like it's just it's like a staple there's kale romaine vegan bacon bits I think when you do a vegan Caesar you have to have these vegan bacon bits oh yeah like it just like adds that little bit like it it's very parmesan-y they got some cheese going on in here you're feeling in more of a happy place now Rose I'm no longer your 13th reason you're still my 13th reason okay I gotta do another bite of this I really like the burger it's like everything in a burger yeah it is doesn't even have red peppers in there and stuff I think it tasted red pepper I think there's roasted pepper that's good I like I think you know I'm gonna take that as like when I make burgers putting those like roasted red peppers are so nice all right so I think my favorite burger is this salmon burger just because the salmon is so salmon-y like I'm shocked at how salmon-y it is it's crazy it is crazy you can smell it though it's very fishy what kind of voodoo magic is this oh my god they need to be packaging this and selling this everywhere because I would buy it and shockingly I usually don't like poutine but this poutine is actually very good I mean I can never eat that much poutine but like at once but this mixed with the the pulled pork and the truffle sauce it goes really well together I love the truffle sauce and it's like a flavor bomb and I like that they have onions in it yeah makes it more fresh yeah I find it I find you get sick of it yeah fries gravy and like those cheese curds but this because it has a few little extra things yeah it takes it over the edge Daniel's dining and dashing oh here's the brownie with some ice cream this is a chocolate oh my look at that that looks so good are we ready oh my is it everything you've dreamt of and more I'm gonna have one more bite uh-huh half more than one more bite Daniel look at that ice cream it's always important to have a good brownie to ice cream ratio yes I love a brownie and ice cream combo half ice cream half brownie amazing okay I will goodbye Daniel had to run because he had to go to a meeting look at this ooey gooey goodness guys what about it's so ooey gooey look at this fudgy it is perfect with the ice cream because the brownie itself is very thick and very ooey gooey but with the ice cream it like balances it out makes it so good now we are going for dinner and we are going to again another awesome vegan place that we ate at last time we were in Montreal do you remember you loving this place I really like this place I also love sushi if you love vegan sushi Montreal has the best vegan sushi okay so we're going to show you the best vegan sushi spots in Montreal yeah we are including Blurrm, Blurrm Sashay, we're at Blurrm Sashay apparently we're Australian here in Montreal I feel like it's a fun name to say in Australian accent Blurrm yeah we're gonna have some Blurrm Sashay control my wrinkles oh god damn Daniels we be old bitches now oh my speak for yourself all right we are in bloom sushi we got some sake cheers oh my god that's good I love a sake we came to Montreal like a couple years ago when yeah and we're like we're just gonna try vegan food in all these different cities and I remember the reason I brought this up is I remember when we did that we that is the most sake I've ever drank in because we got it we got obsessed remember we were just like we have to have it with every meal it's so good yeah no I have but for some reason we just drank it a lot on that trip like every restaurant we went to we had sake so yay love me some miso soup merci okay so we're starting strong of course with classics miso soup and edamame yes yes thank you so much the sauce is made with almond butter oh that looks amazing oh my god thank you it's so pretty so pretty it does thank you thank you they're so nice okay so look at the salmon you guys look some gyoza with some almond butter sauce look at that real fish real fish if you fish you need it you need that salty sensation I think it's like a hangover cure it's actually a good that would be a good hangover thing okay vegan salmon what if it tastes like rose fresh it has a texture like I've had this product before it's like a similar texture to salmon what happened don't play we're gonna eat a dumpling so this is gyoza with almond butter probably the gyoza this is my favorite so it's mixed of mushroom okay oh it's that crab yes oh oh my god oh I wanted to try that one okay thank you so much thank you oh my god we're in heaven all right Daniel's gonna try this paste right here which one here I'm gonna try the same one you had rose perfect the sake is going down like water it's dangerous rose is gonna be stumbling out of here it's it's way too smooth so I'll try this one I like the little flowers and stuff too they're so pretty blaring it's about blarming all right well I have something funny to tell you after too oh you're not going to tell me on camera no all right get ready left-handed Daniel eating the sushi it's a big mouthful it's very tasty it's a little smoky I like I love I love look at this I mean look at this I want to try that okay I'm gonna try some I mean I'm still a little full from uh from lunch I ain't gonna lie but it'll still be delicious I really want to try this okay I'm gonna try this like truffle one that's the other one she said is her favorite very excited everyone here is very nice the service is amazing yeah love here we go okay I'm trying at the same time roses how I fit in this in my mail it's a very large bite it is oh I'm getting the truffle yeah I like it subtle it's not too much but struggle sometimes be overpowering I was good I actually think I like the first one better yeah okay what's next rose have a little spoonful of my lovely miso soup it's healing me it's healing me well I kind of want to try just this very avocado that's been deep fried got a deep fried avocado roll with a bit of I think sriracha mayo you need I love sriracha mayo I'm gonna take one as well roses these are a bit small I mean why don't they do this more often can't go around with deep fried sushi rolls all right this crispy one is calling my name crispy rice sushi with the crab is a tofu crab I kind of feel like this is a hand yeah a hand one but I don't know this is so cool when did you get that I got it like I just got it online yeah Chrissy recommended it because like Sasha has it it's good for travel because it's small yeah it's still like a hassle sometimes but yeah well it looks like it was in the bag really easily yeah so like that's why I do like it and it's good for like filming yourself and there's a pretty good quality like uh camera yeah oh holy again a little smoky crispy rice I love crispy rice what have you tasted like a smoky crab meat maybe I'm gonna have to get my finger in there I think my favorite so far is this one yeah actually I don't know it's hard to tell the crispy rice so we just found out that they're they opened a location in Paris and Lyon yeah and are they opening another location there's gonna be a second one in Paris wow you guys vegan if you want vegan sushi in Paris or in Lyon yeah which is in France in France yeah check out Bloom Sushi do you want to tell your listeners in French no je ne parle pas français chocolate okay oh wow thank you so much look at the presentation on this there's always room for dessert this one has lychee it's like a crepe is it yeah it looks like some lychee there's um banana all kinds of stuff going on and maple syrup and maple syrup when in Quebec it's so good it's like fresh for some reason all the flavors work together too sweet my favorite thing the banana and the lychee it like and the lychee makes it less heavy yeah it feels like it feels light the outside layer is like like a crepe kind of I'm gonna eat this I figured I was like well I won't have room for all this there's always room for dessert because it has that lychee I think it adds like a very refreshing taste and it's very good oh my god let me just dress it in more maple syrup I got tons of maple syrup on there brownie time my second brownie of today I like the rest of the sauce I don't think it's that sweet this is so good incredible I'm obsessed with this so good I tell you this is so good oh maybe you want to keep that just for the maple syrup yeah that's a great idea my stomach is going to explode but this brownie is so good and I was just telling Daniel that it reminds me um two bite brownies these little I don't know if they're I don't know if it's a Canadian thing but these like tiny little like brownies that are round and I used to eat that when I was before I was vegan and it was so good and it kind of reminds me of this this is a little bit more decadent I think but like it reminds me of that and this goes really well with the raspberry sauce yeah cheers oh my god my stomach I don't know if I can survive this whole trip much digestion was needed but that was so good we love bloom sushi okay everybody was very lovely and very nice the waitresses were so sweet yes so cute they were so sweet it was lovely definitely recommend getting sake as well when you're there and it comes warm like this isn't it now we're heading to a uh jazz bar and look at this beautiful walk if it's really packed sounds lovely I love sitting at the bar bonjour good morning it is the first full day of montreal and we are here at sophie sucre this is a vegan patisserie which is basically a bakery and I'm very excited Daniel you've been here before I have yes I had a croissant last time and it was super delicious this was Daniel's recommendation so let's go yeah yay hi there it's really cute we got a bunch of goodies I already dug into this breakfast sandwich I think it's called sandwich dejeuner it's a sandwich dejeuner it is so good don't you what do you think it's so good it's it's got like vegan egg it's got um vegan breakfast sausage it's got vegan cheese and pickles it's so good and then we have two savory pastries I think one of them do you want to cut it actually so I'm gonna put it in half first so this I think is a spinach and feta oh spinach and feta oh my god look at that look at that uh-huh I have I'm a big I'm a sucker for um savory pastries so oh my god yes I think it has like sausage crumbles might be kind of like a sausage roll situation and then we've got god damn this is a crook what is a crookie so a croissant cookie wild diabetes in a dish that looks so good this is a pain au chocolat oh I think the chocolate's like in here so maybe cut that in half it's it's hard to cut oh there you go we got chocolate in there here is the breakfast sandwich sandwich dejeuner it's so good I love the breakfast sandwich I want more of this it's so good I think this might be one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had I like that it's like it has the pickles so it like makes it it might be all gone okay so this one is the spinach and feta oh my god it is flaky it is oh my god you can like taste the spinach usually I feel like you can't really taste the spinach it's so good hello this is my friend Michelle it's really good she she is not vegan she said it's very good it's very very good there you go straight from the source I think this is sausage and cheese is it clearly none of us have uh brushed up on our French I should know this because I went to French immersion but fromage is cheese yes that's so good oh my god how's that one the crookie all right now we gotta try the crookie we cut it in half because you know we're classy over here so it looks like a croissant with is it sweet in the middle as well with a little bit of sweetness in the middle but also we literally have a cookie on top of the croissant okay oh my what the hell is this that one's good which one's the fave what do we like the best so far you have a very big reaction to this one and this one this one's just so great for like this is a traditional like this one is the panel chocolate thing when you get the chocolate you're like yes you kind of have to work for the chocolate oh my god you gotta eat that piece because that one has a cookie yeah it looks like more full it's a crook it's a cookie on a croissant yeah because the croissant is not decadent enough you must have a cookie yeah wow it's so busy how was it so good oh my god so good yeah we're trying a little bit of everything so we went crazy the breakfast sandwich i'm like dying yes oh it's so good oh there's like literally no protein we might we might run into you guys at other restaurants you know yeah have the best time bye bye take care okay so my favorite breakfast sandwich i got expensive taste and then it doesn't surprise me in the least what's your favorite daniel i really like the spinach and feta yes the spinach and feta pastry that was good and i love a pound of chocolate and what's your favorite um nothing the sausage the sauce i we really should know the name of this one sausage fennel and mozzarella okay i'm definitely a savory pastry queen i'm gonna need more coffee we can get some more coffee what time it'd be oh yeah ---- i should probably get out on time shouldn't i it's 10 30. we're five minutes from here so good we are in marché jean talon which is this market jean talon market and it is this indoor market it's a good place to come to when it's raining because it's raining today there's a bunch of like maple stuff you could buy if you are into maple we're in quebec where maple syrup is a very big deal you can actually buy canned maple syrup as you can see that is a maple syrup my friends cute look at this cutest little maple syrup can you're trying what maple syrup just maple syrup cheers cheers does it taste different oh yeah is it different flavors or like different types of oh wow there you go this is like a maple syrup specialty stand the most canadian thing you've ever seen oh cheers heidi michelle looks happier than ever we're at umami what am i drinking what is this something sour it's called no hang on i'll tell you what it's called daniel which one is it is called a slipper slipper sour it is absolutely divine can you explain what's in there rose always forgets what she's eating i don't even know what i'm eating and drinking ever it's it's vodka it's great it's it's it's got gochugaru it's got gochugaru on the on the top yep which is korean red pepper paste there we go or red pepper powder this one is the ume sour this is the cocktail that i fell in love with the first time i was here in umami oh my god it's so good **** me it's so good this hold on okay this is giving sour it's giving sweet this one's giving creamy it's giving a little bit less sweet i don't know what's better i think i actually like that one better i mean this one's really good too i've never thought about putting it on edamame but it's actually giving it's a western and asian fusion i love it i love it it's giving this is a wasabi creamy sauce and then like a little bit of the soy sauce that wasabi cream is actually so good okay this one is mushroom tempura oh my god tempeh katsu amazing i don't think i've ever tried tempeh until i was involved oh my god i love tempeh is it good i love tempeh what did you say i was like who's finishing the tempura well that's basically code for i want to finish this i want to finish it but i want to be polite this one is the special corn ramen this one is the curry ramen with the tempeh katsu the kimchi ramen the tan tan man right and then this one's also tan tan and this one's the corn again vegan yo the struggle is real the you know the token blank guy at the table okay let's eat you guys is it good it's a specialty apparently look at that corn ramen anyone want to try the curry okay a lot of time i really do but by the end of this one this one is kimchi i'm trying everything that's wild no garlic and no pepper that's like everything what do you eat i don't know i don't know man okay i'm full baby's happy too oh yeah is she moving shut up so this one is a japanese sweet potato creme brulee which looks amazing and then a donut with whatever what is this on top it's like a it's a whipped cream i'm gonna break this hold on get in there rose okay can you say what you just said i'm a carnivore but you did not just say that i mean everything was really really good yes i never thought it would be this good wow that is
