In this video, we take a closer look at our 1966 Ford Mustang V8 automatic convertible project.

This car is different from many of our usual project Mustangs. It had received a full, high-end restoration before being involved in a front-end accident shortly after completion. The damage happened when the previous owner drove into the rear of a large van.

The video shows the car’s current condition, including the exterior, convertible body, front-end damage, interior, engine bay and key repair areas. It should help viewers assess the project more clearly than photographs alone.

This Mustang has a desirable specification. It is fitted with a V8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering and a power-operated soft top. These features make it a usable and sought-after configuration within the first-generation Mustang range.

From our initial inspection, the car appears to need a driver-side front wing, bonnet, radiator support, radiator, cooling fan and other related front-end parts. A detailed inspection should confirm the full repair scope before any work begins.

The main value in this project is the quality of the car before the accident. It was not a tired restoration case before the damage occurred. Instead, it was a freshly restored Mustang convertible that now requires focused front-end repair.
Any buyer should inspect the radiator support, inner wings, front chassis areas, cooling system, panel alignment and associated components. These checks will help confirm the correct repair plan.
