[EON 2025 Showcase- Verdant Dreams] Ladies' Soccer (Dance Revelasian)

Dance Revelasian is a pre-professional dance company composed of young adults dedicated to promoting Chinese culture through traditional dance. Their piece tonight showcases an ancestral form of soccer, cuju (pronounced “tsoo-ju”), which was a popular sport in ancient China. In particular, court ladies were actually known to play cuju games in their leisure time, as depicted in paintings from the Song and Ming dynasties. Tonight, Dance Revelasian will bring one such painting to life with "Ladies' Soccer."
