Why I decided to live in a van? Do I plan to upgrade to a bigger van in future?Van life Q&A

Alright good morning everyone. Today we have a couple things to do so I'm thinking about doing a Q&A because a lot of you ask me questions and I always try to keep you know make sure I answer some of you and as you know I like to kind of like mix with my day-to-day life so it's kind a little bit more interesting than just a bunch of questions so uh we're also gonna get the van washed because trust me you need it so let's do that first. Alright the van's looking good. Kenny! Kenny! He got scared a little bit. Alright uh let's do a question. I'm sure she's gonna I think she's underneath my seat to be honest. So today we have a couple questions for Kenny and we do have a couple questions for me so let's start with a question for me. Why did you decide to live in a van? Thank you so much for that question GMC1570. I decided to live in a van it was a kind of like a little bit of a process it took me a couple probably a year or so to think about it and that was something that was seems to be very appealing to me um I always always wanted to travel but never really had the time or the money mostly the money was an issue so I never really traveled was always like working harder to make more money but you don't have time to actually travel so in a sense of like British Columbia is really um pricey to rent and I was an option and also when me and my boyfriend at the time we split I had to um you know I have to move on on my own and here British Columbia like I said it's expensive so renting a room with roommate is $900 so you only have your bedroom and I'm kind of in the age where you know what I mean like uh living with roommates is not the most fun so I move with my car to Squamish if you want a little bit of story I move with my car put all my stuff in my car uh my GMC jimmy uh and I put everything in storage and I was like oh I'm just gonna sleep for a month in my car and figure out the place where I'm gonna rent and that month turned out to be at the end a full year um I just kind of enjoy be on my own in my back of my car sounds a little bit crazy but yeah it was and I was not moving I was just putting money on the side and just the dream of buying a van and be able to travel what just was make me going and I work 50 50 plus hours at one point I had two job and just you know putting money on the side money on the side money on the side to buy this van which is what I did so yeah it was a lot of combination of the rent are extremely expensive not enough money to travel not enough time and just having a place on your own that you decorate and you make in your own little place I always rent home and I could I never really bothered to you know like decorate painting the walls and all that because I always moving so I'm not someone who stay in one place very long I think the most that I stay in one house was two years so because yeah I'm that type of person so all of those little things make me want to move in the van so I'm glad and this is the best decision that I could have made so thank you so much for the question um all right I do have to do a grocery and a couple things and I'm gonna explain where we're going this bay window is super tight to be careful just enough on this side just enough on that side all right guys I'm gonna do a little quick grocery and I'll be right back with one question all right grocery is done I had a couple there's a question for you here hold on they find a question for you um sorry for your name uh about a cold pad for kitty a lot of people were asking this she do have in one I bought her a couple weeks ago she's using it not all the time but she use it quite often so uh I do have the box let me show you all everything work she really like it so this is the pad that I bought for her um about medium size which is for 15 to 35 pounds pet um I think I should have bought like a small size maybe uh but they didn't have any so I had to grab the last one that they had literally I was right before before the eat start so yeah this is what I got at the PetSmart around $35 Canadian a little bit expensive but at least using it and she's liking it so I don't mind to spend that money if she use it obviously so all that work uh super simple so on when the pet the cat whatever lie on it it get colder with the weight and it's good for three hours after three hours um it recharge itself so don't ask me how it recharge itself but it recharge itself so it's quite colder when you touch it which is great and like I said she use it and it's usually right here where she was a lay down once in a while here uh in the winter she sleep on a little bed here but in the summer she was mainly on the countertop that's why I put it there all right question done another question for Kelly Dory B wondering how to help Kelly with tics and fees um Kelly doesn't have any medication for that right now uh don't panic I'm gonna explain so um I never in the I don't know how many years I own cats now 14 15 whatever none of my cat had like problem with tics the only time that they had problem with fleas was two of my cat Kiki and Arlie who had problems and that happened when we were in Squamish living there in the house and we realized that they had fleas we went to the vet got you just need to wait your pet and they give you medication for that so um she doesn't have anything I look at her constantly every day to make sure she's all right if she end up with fleas I'm just gonna go at the closest vet tell her the way tell her when I'm traveling and should not be any problem they should be able to give me the medication um and yeah for the tic I yeah I'll just make sure to look and make sure that she doesn't have any but yeah so far so good so thank you for your question all right let's put the grocery away and I think I'm gonna go get a cup I got some blueberry I'm a huge obsessing fan of berries I'm gonna have to wash them first oh this will not last long a day maybe two all right I'm gonna put everything away and I fail to go grab a cup of tea now all right we're gonna go get a cup of tea just right here Tim Hortons which is a kind of like Canadian coffee shop and I'm gonna tell you what we're gonna do today um so today I'm going um away from this town so it's been too hot for us it's been like 35 degrees and during the day and it's kind of like too warm for us so we've been in the back country pretty much like around 10 o'clock in the morning I drove in the back uh in the mountain I should say and stay there for the rest of the day and come back in the evening but even in the evening it just gets super warm and it's cool down around like 8 p.m and right now it's just not even 8 o'clock and I just you know it's already hot so um yeah and it's supposed to get warmer this weekend so I'm just gonna go drove uh further in the mountain uh and the place where they do have wi-fi it's a rest area so I can work on a couple things which I do have a lot of things to do uh the reason why I stay around here it's because I got some package that arrive about it's supposed to arrive I'm waiting for them uh to arrive I have one coming one that arrived yesterday and one um next week so I kind of have to stay here it's coming to my friend's house so after that we're definitely gonna leave that area because yeah it's get too warm here hi there how may I help you hi can I get a cool down because it's always too warm all right um a couple more questions before we start driving so do you have any fan in your van like a max air thank you Jordan for your question the answer is no I'm gonna show you I'm gonna put him back so one second yeah there you go so I don't have any that would be right here I don't have any like a roof fan the reason I do have two nice little window they open like quite big right away by the way it just like all of this space probably won't feed by almost two like they don't 100% open right now there you go so quite big opening on both sides which make a nice cross breeze with the wind but I the company that install my iRoof um they install like a piece of wood in the ceiling so if I want eventually installing a fan I'm gonna I'm gonna be fine you know I'm gonna have the option to do it I'm just gonna have to drill the hole in the make a hole in the fiberglass and uh with my fan but right now I don't really feel the need yes will be 100% like it would be better if I had the two side windows plus the fan but I don't really find big big problem right now maybe eventually I'm gonna decide to do it but yeah right now it's totally fine like this I had another question too uh do you have a plan to update to upgrade sorry to a larger van in the future I'm not gonna say your name your name because it's gonna be a mess so thank you for your question and the answer is absolutely no look at my van it is huge huge for me at least I do have sorry I do have a lot of empty space even like underneath the van underneath the bed it's a lot of like empty space you don't see because I put all the stuff that I want in the front and a lot of stuff in the back but in the middle it's got a big empty space and I have love I have two bed in the back underneath my bed and one is half empty sorry yeah all that been said no no plan at all for a bigger van or like a RV no um in fact like if I could find something that would give me the luxury of having something that I can stand up and but a little bit smarter maybe that would be something that I would consider but right now I love my van and I'm not gonna not gonna change for
