💌 Unwind with me as I draw an attack for artfight 2026! Half way through the video, I also give my thoughts on the game and my experience with it. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a go, but it's not something that works too well with my schedule. I hope you all had fun this year!
💌 The character I'm drawing in the video is not mine! Full design credits go to monkihoney on Instagram and Artfight!

Hello, my name is Jasmine Erdue. Today, I'll be drawing an attack I made for Art Fight. I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you!
So for those of you who are familiar with Art Fight, you probably know that the event is over by now and honestly,
I'm just so relieved. Like, I feel like that month just went by super fast, but it was just a really long grueling month.
And I think that's just because I felt a lot of pressure to return the attacks that I was getting.
My battle ratio by the end of the month was definitely very much abysmal.
But I did try to draw as many attacks as I could just to return and I think that's part of what made this
event not as enjoyable because at the end of the day, I didn't really get to draw much of any of my bookmarks.
And that doesn't mean that the characters that I drew that I ended up drawing weren't great,
but I think there were definitely designs that I wanted to get to and I just didn't get the chance. And of course, I can
always make fan art for them without the points, but I just don't see myself joining this type of event again.
And that's just a personal choice because I will be probably, hopefully,
employed by next summer and
after a long day of work, I don't really want to be drawing.
It's just not really a pastime that I find myself doing after working eight plus hours.
I am looking for other hobbies to help me unwind after work. So if anybody has any recommendations, actually, I'm very much open.
I do want to start reading more books,
but it's just kind of hard right now to find the time, especially as I'm studying and stuff like that.
And I think one thing that people might be wondering is why people push themselves for this game.
Like, it's not that serious and I understand that, but it just seems like, obviously,
at the end of the day, it's a gifting game,
but it is marketed as somewhat of a competition and I don't really like to lose.
So I did want to get as many points for my team as possible and I guess in a way,
it was slightly discouraging how being on Team Tragedy, our point share just consistently decreased every single day.
I don't know what was up with that. Also, the point of art fight isn't necessarily to win,
but I mean, it would be really nice to have that shiny badge on my profile. But on the positive side,
I know it's like been kind of negative,
but I feel like I did get a lot of things out of this event and
one of them would obviously be all the beautiful fan arts that I got of my OCs.
And then I also feel like I did grow a little bit as an artist, at least. Like, I learned how to draw,
a lot faster than I was used to. I learned that people can't really discern between my regular art style and the one that I
speed up. So I'm reconsidering how much I'm actually focusing on the details because apparently people can't even notice that.
And I also feel like I
experimented more with my art style and the types of poses and characters that I was trying.
So it was very gratifying to kind of push myself and I guess try those new concepts.
Another thing I got out of art fight was definitely discovering a bunch of cool artists and cool character designs.
Even after the event has ended, there are definitely some designs that I still want to do,
regardless of whether I get points or not.
One of- like, this character design in particular was something that I had been saving since before the event had started.
Just because, like, it's- I feel like it was right down my alley. Like, I really love characters who
want to dress in modern clothes because I'm not very good at drawing, I guess, fantasy type clothes.
But also, I really loved the details and the vibes. So I really went all out with this one.
So am I glad I joined?
Yes, because this realistically would have been the last year that I would have been able to participate in an event like this.
Obviously, I've said that I'm not gonna be joining it again.
And that's just because realistically I won't have time. That being said, if you are ever interested in joining art fight,
I 100% recommend it. You don't have to be a fantastic artist, quote-unquote fantastic artist.
You can be a complete beginner and that's okay, too. You don't have to be a digital artist.
You can do any medium and you don't have to be a quick artist either. Genuinely, art fight is for
everyone, and I mean everyone as long as you're not using AI.
So don't be like me. Don't be too competitive. Don't be looking at the game scores.
And definitely just set boundaries for yourself. Have fun and
I don't know, I guess practice and
find things that you actually enjoy drawing.
Don't push yourself to draw character designs that you aren't really interested in because I think that's
something that will lead to burnout a lot faster. And I know this video doesn't portray art fight in a very positive light. Trust me,
this
event is a very great opportunity to connect with other artists and you know, share great art.
But I really did not want to sugarcoat my experience with this event because at the end of the day,
you should know what you're getting yourself into and you should know that you can quit any time you want. Okay. Thank you.
Okay, so you're probably sick of hearing my voice by now,
but I wanted to give some more details about this drawing.
This drawing was the most detailed drawing that I made this year on art fight
and I think this is the one that I had the most fun with just because again, this character is
definitely the type of design that I lean more towards.
This took probably around
six to eight hours, I want to say, which is the most time that I've spent on one of the attacks this year.
That's obviously because I had three
drawings of the character on this canvas. Again, this video is just supposed to
explain my
experience with art fight and that isn't to discourage anybody from joining the event because I would definitely
recommend people join and if I could go back, I would definitely join this in high school.
So take everything I say with a grain of salt, but I hope you enjoyed this video. Thank you!
