FC Barcelona claimed their second consecutive victory with a 2-0 win over Athletic Club in their first league match of the season at the Spotify Camp Nou. Raphinha opened the scoring in the first half after a brilliant pass from Pedri, rounding Unai Simón before finishing into an empty net.

Barça dominated after the break and created several chances, although Unai Simón kept Athletic in the game with a string of impressive saves. Sancet came close to equalising with an effort off the post, but Fermín sealed the victory late on after pouncing on a loose ball inside the box.
