The narrative covers their experiences with university work, content creation for a student organization, and the challenges of managing a busy study schedule.
Good morning! I'm on my way to the office. I'm gonna go work obviously but it seems
like it's a Monday, it's the start of the week and it's such good weather outside.
I was like, let me just like go actually to the Research Institute and work there
instead of home office. So that's what I'm going to be doing.
I got myself a protein bar as a treat and as a somewhat breakfast. I hope this
one is actually yummy though because it was kind of expensive I'm not gonna lie
but I mean like it has a lot of protein so it's 16 grams. So yep that was a fail
and I think everyone is on lunch break so I can't even like text my supervisor
to open the door for me for like the room for student assistants. I should
have scheduled an appointment with her like the lady who gives out the keys
that's my bad. I wanted to chill a little a little bit in this like stone
chair and the weather is so nice and it's so green here. That's my office in
the back like the building in the back and has this insane view. I should come
out here and work more but I like the comfort of my home so I always like
ditch going to the office and do home office instead. I wanted to chill a
and figure out where I need to work. I mean I don't like it but I don't hate it
I don't think this is like the worst bar I've ever tried. So I never mentioned this
before to you guys but I work as a student assistant in research. I'm a
university like at a research institute here at RWTH Aachen and honestly
it's so cool it's it's actually amazing that I get to be part of the team who
works on actual freaking research and actual research projects. That is insane.
Yeah what I do is basically code, simulate and like analyze a bunch of
stuff. They obviously give me like baby tasks not like actual real hardcore
research tasks because like I'm still a student but it's really really cool to
actually like use the things that we study in a practical setting and
actually like use it on actual research. That is crazy. That is whoa and I love it
here in my office. I love the view and there's a bunch of I think a couple of
types of EVs. You can work in research, you can work in tutoring and
help teach some subjects. You can also help with organization and like
organizing exam sheets and being a supervisor at exams like halls and stuff
and such a cool experience. I honestly encourage everyone who has the chance to
work as a EV to actually do it any honestly any type and the thing is at
every like every course you take there's like a Research Institute funding or not
funding but like making that course for you and if you like that course and the
contents of it you can just like email them and ask if they have like a EV job
and EV position and you can just like start practicing that course it's so
amazing. I cooked this you guys. This is noodles. Rice noodles with mushrooms and
shrimp. The sauce is made of peanut butter, sriracha, soy sauce, oyster sauce,
fish sauce. Good morning you guys. Today is a Wednesday. It's currently 1230. I
woke up a little later today so it's gonna be mainly a work from home
situation. Well I'm not working I'm studying and I'm doing a bunch of stuff.
You know what let me tell you what do what we have on the agenda today. So I
have a meeting for my project work. I need to prep for that. I think 90% of the
work is already done. I just need to complete the remaining 10% go through my
ideas and yeah my stuff written here. We're gonna have like a meeting with my
group without our supervisor to like discuss things we did and then we're
gonna have a meeting with the supervisor. Second thing I need to do today is edit
for my student association thingy which I don't think I ever talked about that
either but I'm basically part of a student organization called TUNEVY
which is like a Tunisian student association. It like welcomes also
non-students but it's mainly like affiliated with the university and stuff.
I am part of the media team. Duh. We do a lot of cool stuff actually especially the
media team. I love the media team so much. If you're like Tunisian I mean like if
you're not Tunisian I think you're also welcome but you are in Aachen join it
it's so fun the media team it's so fun for example last week I think the week
before we filmed a teaser for our upcoming event on the on June the 20th
it's called Info Wochenende which is like an event basically called Info Weekend
where we bring so many Tunisian students who study at multiple like majors and
you get to ask them questions and you just like you can network you can make
friends there we're gonna be having like guests who already graduated from
our university they're gonna be like interviews I think also workshops you
can like check the teaser like all the information it'll be out like when this
video is out probably like this will video will be out after the event
honestly cuz like I'm a slow editor when it comes to my youtube channel but
basically we filmed we spent the entire day in the collective incubator and we
were filming the teaser I started in it I acted this is my acting debut I played
the role of a character who is super super stressed I think for like a really
anxious person it was really bad performance I looked at the clips and I
cringed so bad my friend who's like the chef of like the media team showed me
yesterday like the end result it's just like missing like voiceovers and a
couple of things but like the main videos there and I couldn't so bad I'm
gonna look so funny it's like really well done but like my parts I I don't
know also you can see my acne in there anyways that's it besides the point but
it was so fun we were using like his profession camp professional camera it
was so cool like I said like debuted in my acting career we used a lot of like
filming techniques so cool cool but what I have to edit right now is not that we
actually do a podcast where we invite students who Tunisian students who study
again multiple majors and then we ask them questions not me like it's not my
job but like some questions about their majors about potential things young
Tunisians who are coming to study in Germany might ask and I'm in charge of
editing the reels to that so for every podcast video I take out three reels I
get them out I subtitles post them on all platforms and stuff and that's what
I need to be doing today and last but not least I need to study I need to
study prep for the meeting first edit at my meeting got 330 till 430 probably go
out of the house maybe like eat something first but then go out of the
house go to the library and study
I'm going super late to the library it's almost 11 I hope I find a spot I'm
seriously having trouble sleeping this is my second or third night in a row I
might be considering taking my lunch and in post tomorrow but I'm so happy I
prepped everything I need it's just that it's late I mean it's a holiday so it's
good to have prepped everything but I'm also like weirdly having cramps and
nauseous not nausea lightheadedness in the morning it's not my period it's not
around my period normally so I don't know what's going on I'm a little tired
so I'll just go have my breakfast my sandwiches this is a good iced coffee
yeah also on Saturday there's like a kpop random play dance in front of my
university which is super cool and I'm so excited for that so I've been like
blasting kpop in my playlists every day because I'm so excited
